Hey guys I came to usa on 2015 based on a k1 visa..I got my 2 years green card on 2015..a month ago I applied to remove the conditional status on my green card..I got a letter from uscis telling me that they extend my green card another year..and that I have to wait for a for the biometrics appointement..based on your experiences guys how long it takes to get the 10 yeArs green card? Does it take long time usually?

    Took my husband  11 months.

  2. Hello Been a while. But my question is my Husband has been here since July came on k1 visa from Tunisia he received his green card beginning of January. He would like to go visit his family next month for a couple of weeks seeing we have a baby on the way in Aug it will be a while before either of us will be able to go back. He also wants to go before he starts his new job. I wont be going seeing i will almost be 5 months pregnant and nervous about traveling. My question is He shouldn't have a problem coming back in the US seeing he will be without me. Also does he need any other paperwork besides his passport and green card ? Sorry if anyone thinks this is a silly questions.. I have friends with green cards and they say all time mayb they wont let him back.

  3. My I-129F for fiance visa was filed 02/05/13. We passed the 5-month mark on July 5th. I submitted an e-request for Outside Normal Processing Time on July 29th. A couple weeks afterwards, I received an email reply from USCIS. The email contained nothing that we didn't already know, receipt number, filing date, approximate processing times. A completely useless email, except for mentioning to wait another 45 days before calling customer service. I called the phone number for more information today, but again, received no information except confirmation of e-request, and to wait 45 days for further assistance.

It has been 204 days since the first NOA approval. My fiance lives in Tunisia.

Is there any advice anyone has to offer? Is this normal waiting time? How much longer should this process take? Does anyone have any other contact information they would be willing to share?

Also, we were in the batch that was transferred to Texas Service Center in June. Orignally our case was in Vermont Service Center.

Thanks for any advice. The wait is horrible....

IT will come ours took 270 days for approval once that was done it was 5 weeks later for his interview. and now he has been here almost 2 months and we have been married 5 weeks.. your time will come don't worry I know its very hard but it will all worth the wait.

  4. I hired a lawyer back in October 2012 to file my paperwork for k1 visa just to make sure everything was done correctly and minimze any chances of getting an RFE,I recieved my NOA1 on October 2012, but guess what??? After nearly 8 months if waiting I checked the uscis website and I had an RFE!!!(6/18/13), Up until today I have yet to see the letter!! I called the people at uscis but they are never of any help, they said if I havent received the letter after 14 days to call back!! Has anybody experienced such delay??? And to make matters worse my lawyer wont return my calls!

The Rfe will be sent to the lawyer not you.... mine only took 1 week to get to my lawyer . If I was you I would take a drive over to the office.

  5. Hello Not sure where to ask this. but my fiancé is flying to the Usa tomorrow on a K-1 from Tunisia and one of our friends who is from there who live in the Usa now told my fiancé he needed a police border stamp on his passport before he can fly out he said he can do it at the airport. I never heard of this and cannot find it online anywhere as anyone else heard of this? thank You

  6. Right there with you!! I've been so stressed and ours was approved May 23th..i'm getting really frustrated! We called multiple times and emailed..no answers..just the old "you'll hear from us soon" None-the-less, good luck at your interview, guys!!

I am surprised you haven't heard anything yet... I emailed them on a fri and mon morning I received packet 3 via email.... they also told me I will hear from them soon.... so I was surprised when it was so quickly.

  7. yes just email the ds 230 but he also needs to bring a copy of it with him to the interview... it doesn't say it in the instructions but that's what happened to us and they rescheduled him bc of that one form....I emailed the ds230 and the next day we had an interview date scheduled for a week later so before you email make sure you have your police certificate and anything else you need... I also emailed them about the fee it is $240 they told me it is an outdated email...

  8. Correct.

I paid the fee and completed the form, nothing els.

Does anyone have a list or know where I can get one as to what they need so I can get approved?

    Do I need a lawyer?

I did not include any passports, birth certificates, etc. I have all that suff ready to go.

I just need a complete checklist of what they have to have to be approved.

you can see what is needed right here on this website...... plus the uscis website also has all the info that's where I found my info before I found this website...

  9. Inchalla everything will work out. Hopefully they will give ur spouse the visa as soon as he turn's in those papers best of luck:) let me know how it goes

thank you ... I emailed the embassy to clarify bc no where in the instructions they sent me said to bring the form it said to email it and bring the other papers... they responded quiclkly sorry for the mis communication... so hopfully all goes well tues...

  10. My fiancé had his interview today they told him he needed the ds 230 form which in the email last week told us to email itto them and bring the rest of the papers with him . so now he has to go back on tues with this form for his interview....headbonk.gifheadbonk.gif

  11. huh.pngNO! The information they send you from the Embassy in Tunisia is wrong. The fee is $240, we verified that with them. That's what my fiancé paid and he just arrived 2 weeks ago. Perhaps the fee is different for CR1 but for K1 it's $240.

Yes thank you I sent them an email and they verified that they sent me the wrong fee info...
