  1. I posted a message regarding what i saw when i tracked my petition on USCIS website which says they have transferred my petition to another office and i should be expecting a notice of transfer , and i was afraid but you all said i should keep calm and wait to see what will happen. you are right, Today i got a letter from the USCIS and it says thus :

Transfer Notice it includes the receipt number, the receipt date, the notice date, my name and address , my husband(beneficiary name) and the case type which is the I 130 and the message said

This is to notify you that we have transferred the above application or petition to the USCIS office at :

    USICS NBC. P.O BOX 648005 , Lee's Summit , MO 64064

We transferred this case because the record indicates that office has jurisdiction over the case. that office will notify you of subsequent action taken on this case

please refer to the USCIS processing dates webpage , visa the USCIS home webpage to locate the processing date for the specific service center that you case was transferred to. If the service center is within processing time for your particular application or petition, USCIS cannot provide an update on your case.

my question goes thus ,(1) are they trying to request for an interview ? (2) does it mean we are having problem with our petition ?

i am very worried now. please your reply will be needed.

i think they have sent me a notice of transfer to my mail, does this implies an interview ? please explain in details for me

No unless it was transferred to your Local office......

I have seen cases where they were transferred to the local office for an interview

My hubby was not interviewed though

thank you so much , since my husband lives in Russia and not living with me in USA, even though they want interview , he cant do any interview i will have to do it. but in their email , they did not specify any name, they just said they transfered it to another office for processing, does that means there won't be any interview for me since they did not specify any local office? and also they said that they have send me a notice of this transfer, that means i should be expecting it in my mail.thanks

If a interview would be requested from local office it would be to interview you which would not be a good thing. I would not stress so much a transfer dear. Just go with the flow. You could call and ask if there is anyting additional. But I wouldn't worry. But no they would nit be requesting to interview the Beneficiary at this point.

***** They did not made mention of local office in their email. as you have said, i will wait and see if they will send me a mail .thank you so much. i just hope is of good thing

@dwheels , the beneficiary which is my husband lives in Russia but he is a Nigerian. So do you think it requires interview ? and will they send me letter in the mail telling me what to do ? or i should keep calm and wait for their next step.

Of course he will have to be interviewed. Did you put the Consuate in Russia as the place to interview or will he be interviewing in Nigeria. You just filed so its just reshuffling work around. You will get regular processing. All they did was transfer your case. You still have some waiting to do than NVC than interview queue. Like another 5 to 8 months of waiting.

We put his address in Russia but I was told that i supposed to put his Nigerian address since his not a citizen of Russia, then he must have his interview in Nigeria and i was told that once they send is approved and the NVC finished theirs also and they send the IV to Moscow , I should contact NVC to change the embassy from Moscow to Lagos and then he can have an interview in Lagos. please is this right ? if not, what should we do. please i will be happy if you can reply

Hello everyone, Please I would like you to explain what this means

We sent you a notice of this transfer. Well i think it has to do with were you reside........ My case was transferred as well from California to Vermont, my hubby resides in Florida, so i think Vermont has jurisdiction over Florida......... I spent 3 months in California before my case was transferred and spent 5months in Vermont........... I also have a friend whose case was transferred today as well from California to Vermont and her hubby stays in Florida too. So your case was transferred to the proper place of filing

@ winnie george, i sent my petitionto chicago locker box before they transfered it to VSC. and my husband is a Nigerian but he lives in Russia. and also I live in Albany,Georgia. I hope they are requiring interview as my husband is not here. also i am a Naval officer. who just finished. does it have anything to do with it ?maybe they have run my database. am just worried. I want the successful completion of my petition. thank you so much

  8. @dana and divine . am directing my question to you because you did the same thing am about doing now. what i would like to ask from you is that ,when your petition was approved , i mean the I 130 petition, did they send you form to fill so that the petition package will be send to Nigerian embassy or how did they do it? because already on the I 130 and his biographic form we have filled his current address where he is living presently which is russia, i hope we did not make mistake?

  9. Thank you so much. but i have one problem, my husband is a Nigerian but he is living in Russia. and on the Biographic form and I-130 we put his russian residential address on it and now that you said is advisable that we continue with the CR-1 process, are they going to send the whole package to Russia when the time comes or Nigeria? because my husband have asked from American embassy in Russia and they said that they can only process K3 visa since we had our marriage in Russia and they can't process the CR-1 since my husband is not a citizen or permanent resident. so what do you think we should do ? what about if they send application and the package to Russia then that means we will have problem. what do you think ?

  10. Hello Everyone ,

My name is Lydia Oyetunji , I got married to my husband Samson Oyetunji and we were introduced to this website and since we have joined, I must confessed that this website is really very good and it has helped us in fillng first our I 130. but we ave a problem which goes thus :- After filling for the I 130 we were sent No A1 and that our case is routed to the USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing. and we want to file for I 129F for the K3 visa, please where should we send the document for the I 129F to ? is it to dallas locker boss address which is as follows

    The USCIS Dallas Lockbox

    For U.S. Postal Service:

    USCIS

    P.O. Box 660151

    Dallas, TX 75266

or we must send it to another address. your reply will be highly appreciated

  11. The affidavit of support does ask for information about past income but you qualify as sponsor based on your current income. Your full time job sounds like it pays enough to qualify. Self employment income isn't considered income until after it appears on a tax return, so no need to mention that at all as "current income". Sounds like you'll qualify just fine.

wow.gif Thank you sooooo much!!! I informed my husband and he was VERY happy. We will be mailing off our I-130 documents Monday via priority USPS mail. I am confused as to which documents must be originals and which can be copies. You are very helpful and knowledgeable regarding this matter. biggrin.gif

  12. Your flag says Nigeria, and your post says Russia. Where will the interview take place?

Current and continuing income is what is measured (unless self employed). Are you a wage/salary earner or self employed?

Thank you for taking interest in my post...... He is Nigerian but currently lives in Russia and has lived there for the past 5 years and we were married there as well. I am currently employed part- time for my self but full time as a executive assistant. I make a great salary!!! I have no assets to claim at this time. blush.gif

  13. helpsmilie.gifI am facing a issue that I desperately need advice on. It seems as though I am unable to sponsor my husband due to my not meeting the $18,912 income for last year. I spent the majority of last year with him in Russia, I just returned to the states in June. I have no one to co-sponsor him with me, if they was to go according to what I am making and what I will bring home this year all would be well. We do not want to wait another year for him to come home. Is there any other programs or ways to sponsor my husband? Is there another route we must take? I am desperately needing advice on this matter. Thanks dearly, crying.gif
