  1. Congratulations QueenieJ601, i am really very happy for you and here you go .. NVC stage. I am still at the NVC stage and i hope before October ending, everything will be moving to an end by the grace of God. the petition took 3 months for me and few others to get to NVC. but some are lucky and theirs took 6 days, some 1 months and some 2 months. so it depends and yours may be fast. don't worry, everything will be fine.

  2. Don't worry, keep calling them you will have your case number soon , or better still wait for the 8 weeks. As for us from Atlanta local office, the bunch of approved petition was mistakenly sent to NRC instead of NVC and it took we people who have our petition there 3 whole month to get it back with the help of senators, congressman and USCIS themselves... so don't worry, you will soon receive it. i was afraid also then thinking maybe the file got lost but it didn't and we finaly got our case number and things are going well at the moment. So keep calling

At last we got our case number and invoice identification number today. i am super excited

Why did it take so long for your case to get to NVC?

few of us who got approved and others who got approved after us, the petitions was mistakenly sent to NRC instead of NVC and we just successfully get it back to NVC am happy

    thanks QueenieJ601

  4. some of us from ATL local office were approved exactly 3 months 2 days ago and we called and called NVC but to no avail , they always say the same thing not until our congresswoman called and keep disturbing USCIS then we realized that it was mistakenly sent to NRC, thats what they said and it will take 2 weeks to get them back and i was stunned to hear that a whole batch of approved petitions was mistakenly sent to NRC.... these USCIS officials are doing this deliberately i guess

  5. Good afternoon to you all, its been a very long time though since i have come here , I've been really busy with work, i hope Atlanta is approving faster now? really i want you all to know that its been so tough at this NVC stage because up till now, we haven't receive our case number and invoice identification number, when we first called they said we should wait minimum of 8 weeks , today i called and they said the same thing after they have checked and said its not on their system, i told them is now 10 weeks and the officer said i should keep calling every day and maybe i will have the case number before the week runs out. its really tiring .... i just feel down

  6. @Abezyo Wow congratulations. i haven't called them yet regarding the case number cos i want to wait till it reach a month and half, though within 9 days from now it will reach a month. cos i am tired of calling calling calling the way i did during the USCIS stage. i want to call once and get the case number in a time and for me to start the AOS and the rest and i hope before september or october my husband will be here with me also.

@mrs.rai I would say yes an info pass appointment would be okay, even if they say what you don't like but at least you have to satisfy yourself that you made some steps. please do this and am sure you will get your approval pretty soon,

@ahmed&raneen, it would be good if you do this also. but am sure you guys will get the approval very very soon

  7. Dont send in your orignial marriage certificate. just send a copy of the marriage certificate and the translated copy. because the original marriage certificate is needed during the NVC stage. during uscis stage is only certified copy and other things you have like skype, facebook, phone records, text messages, pictures and so on. This is what i did and we have no rfe and got approved even though it took us 8 weeks and 1 week.
