Here's hoping I don't get an RFE...I think I sent enough evidence...but who knows, may the kind soul who handles my documents be aware that my marriage is real!! =(

From the people who created guidelines for the CR-1 process, to the posters who posted questions for a majority of concerns I also had, and the people who would also give support to one another when they were worried or something was going wrong.

My husband had his interview yesterday and he was approved! If it wasn't for this forum, I know I would've f*cked up somewhere along the way(well I did, but that was totally on me not reading properly) and never have gotten this far!

I am pretty sure you don't need the Letter pack 500 anymore (it's part of what is included in the new green card fee), but my husband is going to call up this week and check anyway.

We printed off some extra photos, but in a way it seems kind of silly since he will be there at the interview and we live together, and it seems like they never ask to see any additional evidence anyway.

Think we will print off a new AOS though, but we won't have one for our co-sponsor.

lol, if your husband will be there, I think its pretty valid they have real life evidence right there.

Hmm, can you guys just scan the AOS for your sponsor and get them to scan+email you there copy as well?

OK my interview is on Monday. I just wanted to double-triple check - I need my sponsor's and my co-sponsor's new tax return, but they don't need to fill out a new AOS form right? Right?!

Other than the photographs (4 including the medical), passport, appointment letter and medical results, I don't need to bring anything else either right? So stressful.

Fill out a new one AOS form just to be safe, thats what I plan to do.

Some people do say to bring *EVERYTHING (NOA1&2, original I-130 app,DS-230,I-864)which I too am also debating...

It seems like with Tokyo embassy they don't ask for much, not even photographical evidence...

But my husband will bring them anyways(and just to be safe an extra DS-230)

The male is Spyair(he's the baby) and the girl is Diva. My mom named Diva cause she was the main decision maker in allowing our family to have two cats.

Wow! A new cat thread! A year before my husband and I met, he adopted a man-cat from Siamese Rescue in Austin. I found a lady-cat with black boots on petfinder.com in November 2010 and arranged with her foster mom for a meeting to see if it would be a good fit. The FM brought her to our house and the lady-cat immediately greeted me, my husband, and the man-cat by headbutting each of us. She chose to be a part of our family in an instant. Her foster mom from the rescue organization said that she was visiting a high-kill shelter one day and spotted the lady-cat. The lady was on the euthanasia list but the FM just fell in love with her and took her home. I'm really grateful for people like her.

At first I was just gonna get the male, but this lady at the adoption day kept asking my mom and I to adopt them both cause they were very close. So my mom finally broke down and agreed! I'am so happy I got them together, having two cats is so much fun!

You should def hear something by tomorrow! But most def you should hear something before the end of the week about your case

I told my husband about all of this, he's okay...he said he can spend more time with his family which is good.

The usually only schedule at the beginning of the month, with only a few exceptions. Then they only have few appointments available for eah embassy and they use the Cases complete and the priority dates in order. Sorry but I think your looking at getting scheduled first week of July for an August date. Hope you are an exception, good luck!

..I thought I got a CC in time and my priority date was way ahead of someone who got interviewed before me..damn RFE..

argh..its already been 7 days since CC..and still no interview date.....now I'am getting worried I won't get an interview date for June..
I know they already scheduled someone for a June interview at the Tokyo embassy...I finished 7 days after them. (technically I would've finished before them if I didn't get that RFE)
And I saw someone who was CC 1 day after me and already got their interview date(diff embassy though) so whats the hold up?
Am I freaking out for no reason? I'am still not 100% sure how this interview scheduling works, but if NVC has to wait for the embassy to send them a list, it was already sent out..so I don't understand this wait...*sighs*

I WONDER IF ITS ME!! Ima call NVC tomorrow to see if my package did leave and if I have my interview date now, I'am excited!!

Well I haven't been posting everything because it's been such a comedy with them. First they "lost" our file between the USCIS and NVC and lied to us and the Congressional staffer about what happened to it (it turned out it got shipped to the National Benefits Center instead of the National Visa Center and had to be retrieved). Then they gave us a case number at the wrong consulate because some jobsworth thought Northern Ireland wasn't in the UK despire my husband having written UNITED KINGDOM in block capitals in his address. That took time to resolve. Then I was evidently among the first to help them "troubleshoot" the payment portal errors. Then I was given wrong advice about what to include in the AOS packet (at least that got approved, but if I wasn't on this site I wouldn't know what to send my husband to take to the interview). Then someone put on our file at the NVC that we were submitting a DS-260 instead of a DS-230, and it took three calls to get that sorted. On the 23rd, we got a fake checklist by e-mail for the IV package (they had actually received it that day but we know they hadn't reviewed it yet). Now today we received ANOTHER false checklist for no reason. The NVC guy I spoke to told me that nothing is apparently wrong and the IV package has not yet been reviewed and he didn't know why we got two false checklists.

..wow...I hope that issue gets resolved as soon as possible! TBH, NVC wrote down both my husband's and I e-mail wrong, but luckily they got one of the 4 we listed correct...

But since nothing is wrong, here's to you getting a CC by the end of the week=)

I'm sorry, folks, I'm so discouraged. Every step of the way I've had to fight them to get things right. Even now they're dragging their heels and making weird mistakes. I'm so tired and lonely.

What mistakes are they making speewell besides the false checklist?

No e-mail,and maybe the operator is playing it safe. It would've taken me 9 days if I had all my documents for a CC, but I do know one person whose CC was done in 15days...for some reason
the person working on her case entered her IV into the system and let it sit there for 3days until it was finished,but for her it would've taken 10 days.

CASE COMPLETE!!

I should've called back last night, they completed it yesterday April 30th!

And now..interview!! Hoping for a June one!

Question's:
1)Do we call for the interview date or is this e-mailed to us?(operator said e-mailed)
2)can one still track their packages to the embassy or is that obsolete?

Where are you at again? I was considering the one doctor in Scarborough as I'm in North York but they were too busy and kept me on hold for over 10 minutes when I called. I think all the ones in Toronto and surrounding areas charge the same amount too.

I haven't looked at costs for doing it in Montreal since that'll be an extended stay there..i'm scared of booking a bad hotel too

I know I shouldn't worry but it keeps freaking me out when they say they're waiting for my RFE response when I know it was already sent for and signed since April 19th...

Where are you getting that cut-off date for interviews? Remember, interviews are scheduled all month long, no matter when you got a case complete...

I was studying the timelines for the Tokyo embassy and it seemed like it was normal for people to get an interview the following month after CC from NVC, especially in April and this was shown in April of 2012,2011,and 2010. But I just saw someone who had a CC in March and got an April interview date, so anything's possible I suppose

Here's hoping the Tokyo embassy isn't so busy and I can get a June interview.

So I'am freaking out since next Wed is the beginning of May and I can possibly get my CC that day or miraculously the last day of April(last person before me who got an RFE had a CC in 8 days but the person before him was 9..and I saw some ppl who had them in 6-7 days back in March). If I unfortunately get a CC May 1st, does that mean my interview will have to be scheduled in July or will they see that I responded to my RFE basically in 2 days and be generous to still get me in the June batch?

(Searching on the forums I only saw one case where someone got their interview in June for the same counrty my husband will be having his interview, but that was back in 2010...and I have no idea how that happened.)Ugh...I wish I could've just left work early last Wednesday,run home to get that PCC, and mail it to the post office before it closed
