  1. Allright I know this has been asked before, but just wanted to make double sure since I want this to be all about me(alil sarcasm there)

My parents are sponsoring my husband and she doesn't need to show all three years of 1040&W2's right? Just the most recent year should be sufficient and I won't get an RFE, yes?(She didn't file in 2011 due to an issue in pay so its wrong, and thats really going to hold us up in the visa process if we try to fix it right now but her 2012 info to file her tax return is good to go)

Also, since my mother is the one above the poverty guideline and able to sponsor my husband, do I need to submit my 1040+W2 with my I-184 as well?

I was out of the country for 2012,so I don't have a W-2..nor did i file my taxes..yet?I am employed at the moment however but is it absolutely necessary that I get an employment letter from my company? Not like I can support someone with the salary im making :(

  2. Is it normal for NVC to be alil bit behind in assigning a case number? I started calling since a week after I got my NOA2 and so far its been 19days since then and no Case number.

First time I called they told me to call back in 10 days. Noted and when I called back Last week they said it should be at NVC by this week so to try back again around that time! I call again and this week and they said try back in 2 weeks cause it still wasn't sent to NVC yet.

Then when I called them again today because I couldn't believe it was nearing a month and I still didn't get a case number, someone said it was now at NVC but to call back in 10-20days in regards to the date Jan 7 for it to be entered into the system and get a case number

    meh.. :(

  3. soo,do I contact NVC first or is it the other way around?Reading up on the forums it seems a lot of people contact them first...

Also, a lot of paperwork they send now a days is by email correct?

Thank you! I was worried since I recently moved back to the states, but mailed my petition while I was living abroad

and it seems USCIS never emailed me my notifications,so I was like (did they ever get my e-mail right?)

  4. I see it! But I got all excited and thought it meant it was approved...boo.

On December 12, 2012, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

ehh...I hope they didn't take it upon themselves to change it to my USA address...

  6. Am I the only one starting to think us petitioners living abroad kinda shot ourselves in the foot using our foreign address?

So far ppl getting approved that didn't have an expedited request were transferred out of NBC to their local field office from the Aug and Sep filers as well.

However I have yet to see someone who is at NBC from after Aug 15 get an NOA2 =/

I know November just started but....meh...maybe I'll start worrying when December rolls around.
