  1. After thanking Allah the most gracious most merciful, I want to thank all of you dear VJs members who have helped me go thru this uneasy process. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I ask God almighty to make the rest of the process easy for those who have not completed it.

My Case was completed today and I was wondering if I can make it to April interviews?

  2. Some people wait for AOS fee to be invoiced before sending the email, with the invoice, NVC usually sends DS-3032 forms also. Other people send it as soon as they have NVC case #. Only drawback of sending before 'getting AOS fee/DS3032 email' is sometimes NVC ignores or rejects DS3032 email.

Personally, I plan to wait at least 1 day after receiving NVC case # before sending the DS3032 email.

I did it the same day and I did not have any issue.

  3. I got the same response, when I asked about my AOS application status. 20 business days, that's the end of March. *sigh* that really bummed me out, more than usual...

that's what any NVC operator would tell you, however, it never takes that long. I was told to wait 20 days for my AOS but then it took only 8 days. So, I believe you should see results after 10 days wait.

  4. On March 1, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Is that good news? I guess my file has finally been touched...wondering how long this status go on for?

I was approved five minutes after ny status changed to the status you got..so yeah, approval in the way.

  5. Last Friday I called because my IV fee payment had not yet posted. (Still hasn't and now the page says there is a database error.) The women I talked to says it could take some time for the fee to posted. Then I asked her if I could send in my IV package and she said yes but I should include a cover sheet and said it could be the same as for the AOS. So that is what I did (removing the reference to the AOS dept.) I hope there isn't much of a delay? How long does it normally take now to get the IV application approved once it has been submitted?

i just submitted yesterday too but my AOS package took 10 days to be reviewed.

  6. that's true. I called today NVC and i was told that they are aware of this issue. all the payments between 26th and 28th still showing " in process" status. He said do NOT wait until it shows as PAID to print your cover sheet and send in your DS-230. you will be able to print jt now even if it is still in process status.

  7. What I did was have my husband sent me certified copies of his passport bio pages, national ID card & BC via snail mail. I did go to my local IRS office to have them check over documents & they offered to mail them for me which reached fast and saved me postage cost. You can get your spouse doc. and mail them your self with tax papers & W7 & certified doc. to the address on the IRS info site. We filed married joint, got the tax ID number in the mail about 4 to 6 weeks later. Bigger refund too  Oh I also had my husband print the tax papers, W7 & sign them and send with all his documents. Hope this will help you :)

    Hi,

I hope you can provide me some advice regarding the documents needed to file with W7 from to apply for an ITIN for my wife who lived now in Morocco. I am in the process of filing for 2012 tax return and I would like to file Married Joinlty. Now, my question:

1-What document did you husband send? I heard the passport is the only stand alone document.

2- certified copies of his passport bio pages? where did he certify them? at the consulat or..?

    Thanks in advance

  8. It says petitioners bc and marriage cert isnt original or not certified copy but I did send a certfied true copy. Im hoping not to send the original because I dont really have the original but the copy I sent was a certified copy of the original. Do we have to send original? I thought originals are just for beneficiary. Is there any option for me? Btw, this is for the ds-230 docs.

NVC will accept either the original on a civil Document or a certified copy from the originating source. So, a Certified copy is not a copy you made of an "original" document and get it notarized. No, it is a copy issued by the same goverment agency that issued the original.

DS-230 packets is all about the Beneficiary and all the documents (Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Marraige Certificate, etc.) the Benificiary submits need to be original to avoid all kind of trouble

  9. I paid the AOS fee last Tuesday night. They took the money from my account last Thursday. I checked the website and the payment is still marked "in progress." What gives? When can I email the AOS packet?

If the status is shown as "in Progress" you can print the coversheet and send your AOS packet. I tried it for my IV packet and it worked just fine and I called and confirmed with an operater.

Try to print the coversheet n send your package. DO NOT wait until it shows "paid" because it take at least 5 days .

  10. I dnt know if it has to do with the banks or what but ALL my oayments always showed PAID next day. I have seen some people take 3-5 business days to complete.

I was told by a NVC Operator to not wait for it until it shows as PAID to print the coversheet..he said it is available to be printed when it is "in Process" status..is that true?

  11. You can add that one to the "stupid RFE thread" It's fun to read some of the very silly, simple mistakes made.

I know! tell me about it! anyway, I called NVC and spoke to one of their operator and I asked him about sending the RFE ( new form filed properly) and he said I don't have to wait for the new coversheet, I can just use the old one I used before. is that right?

Also, my IV bill is still shown as "in Process", but I was told by the same operator that I don't have to wait for it to show as "PAID" to print the coversheet...I tried to print it out and it worked. how accurate is that?
