  1. hi there...thanks for the help...at the moment am nervous cause I just sent the docs(bank statement & letter from Fiance) to the embassy yesterday...I inquired about our case last night and the USEM replied this morning that they haven't received my docs yet...but this afternoon, i checked it at ceac.state.gov...the status was changed, from AP to Ready then under it, it says that my case is open and ready for interview ...am confused if this means a 2nd interview or they're still reviewing my case?

    thanks again...

sure - click the girls under my name, then study left panel.

  2. Congrats :)

Today was my interview . . .i got APPROVED!!! *cue happy dance and jazz hands* thank you guys so much for all your help, I will be on here on a weekly basis to see if I can help others, as we are all doing this as a VJ family!!! Special thanks to who ever it is that started this site, you have helped so many people already and I'm sure many more to come!! Our lives have been changed through your forward thinking!! I'll write up a review of my interview in London as soon as I'm back in Nottingham!! Much love to you all!! Cheers, David.

  3. usually, your US Embassy will send you an email if they already scheduled your interview, and this will be after checking all the docs that you sent in your packet 3...if you believed that it takes longer than the usual, coz the waiting time for the period of scheduling always depends on them...you can send an email to the US Embassy, and put your case number in the subject of your email...you can check the letter that the USEM sent you containing packet 3 instructions for more info about inquiries...Goodluck!

Does anyone know where I can find the info on the interview dates? thanks!

  4. Thanks so much Ning...I already informed my fiancee and he's about to contact an immigration lawyer...ty ty :)

You may need to have the USC submit the story here to be certian the info given is correctly stated.

If the 221 says what you say it does the problem could be in the documents submitted as part of the support info. Meaning they dont want " the IRS for 2011 and 12. What does that mean? What they want are his lastest tax transcripts. These are proof of his income and that his taxes are current. The problem doesnt seem to be with the income amount. Its the method used to indicate it.

The next actions you take need to be carefully thought thru so they dont result in an actual denial. Right now they simply want the current and correct info required to grant the visa. They have requested you submit that with your passport so they can issue the visa.

Make sure the USC understands exactly what to do. If not try plan B as you say which should be to marry in Thailand so you can get a CR 1 type visa.

  5. He stated his basic pay in the I-134, and he just included his two sons (17 and 11 y.o)

    He's never been married...

I have one thing in mind upon saying that The consul couldn't find commitment frm him...We have a 15 yrs age gap and both were never been married...I just don't know what's up with him...sighs...ty though for the suggestion :)

Well for family of 4 the guideline is $28,812.

How did he fill out his I-134 did he put adjusted income or what?

Was there someone else he included on taxes he doesn't have to know like ex-wife?

He needs to write a letter like they said and submit his bank statements seems they are thinking something here.

  6. he's not...i got it frm the the Office of Federal Register... yup, it was stated that 23,550k...for that 4, i'll be included with his two sons...and his Income Tax shows, 32 K for 2011, and 33K for 2012...and for the co-sponsor, its not accepted for K1 visa here...He's from California too...

If u dnt mind me asking, is he in the military? And wat state is he in? I live in california and i need to have atleast 19k income for the fiance and its just the two of us. I think u got ur info wrong( sorry). U need 125% of the poverty line and upon researching the website u posted is not the uscis. Andcorrect me if am wrong $23,550 for 4 people.

I strongly suggest your fiance finds a co sponsor. Sorry: (

  7. thanks so much...he's really disappointed and couldn't sleep...he really wanna come and get married ASAP, but i told him to wait and just try complying to the needed for 221 g then after the result, we'll proceed to plan B...

Am so sorry about this, i think your fiance should write a letter as a the CO suggested... stating he is willing to support you also probably to the tune of how much, like a monthly allowance or something. He should attach his bank statements and also request a cover letter from the bank, stating why he is requesting the bank statement.

I believe the CO needs your fiance to prove he is willing and ready to support you if he can only show evidence that he is capable. I hope this helps

  8. Thanks for the reply...I sent our intent of letter to marry upon filing of the petition, and sent another copy from his side during the interview, I also submitted the IRS of 2011 and 2012...the comment was "Petitioner failed to demonstrate sufficient income to sponsor an immigrant."... how could this be?coz no matter how I check the 2013 Poverty guideline, it only requires 24K USD for the 4 of us...and his IRS for 2011 was 32K and for 2012 was 33K...is this denial or we can still waive it by submitting what the consul was asking?

Sorry this is happening to you. What exactly did the 221g say? Out of curiosity did the both of you send in signed letters saying you will marry each other within 90 days of getting married in the intial petition and then send an updated copy for the interview? Also did you submit any IRS tax transcripts?

  9. It's raining cats and dogs so as my experience at Bangkok Embassy... I cam so early and never had a problem on the process of application, been aware of the requirements specially the affidavit of support...to my dismay, after 15 mins of interview, the Strict Consul told me that " I'm so sorry, I'm refusing the issuance of your visa because your fiancee is not showing any commitment to you because he is not capable of supporting you, so I'm going to give you a 221 form, you tell your fiancee to write a letter to the embassy that he's willing to commit and support you all the way, and send a copy of his bank statement...

I was so surprised knowing that he's had 33,000 USD for 2011 and 2012, he's living with his two kids ( a 17 yr old who is working part-time & an 11 yr old)...and his been working at the same company for 10 yrs now...I'll attached here a copy of Poverty Guideline for 2013...and I strongly believed that the consul is so unfair to give that judgement.... Can anyone advised me what to do and share some experience like this? He even told me to provide the documents then send them together with my passport...We're confused and doubting if we still have hope to get the visa or is this total denial...

  10. Thanks all...No special or secret recipe for the 117 days of approval  ...all I did was follow the guides here...i read a lot since I was the one who prepared the docs needed..I labeled the pictures with dates & our names, at least 10 of us together...then the ID pictures, I put in in two separate plastic zip lock with labels as well, plus the passport copies with the stamp of entry...then plane tickets, hotel bookings even under my name...copies of parcel sent as gifts...letter of intent to marry frm both of us...his citizenship certificate copy...plus the forms...thank God no RFE... :)...just be careful with the forms & help each other...then we did call this last week to follow-up then they contacted CSC and then told bf to wait until dec 16 :National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 ...goodluck to all of us guys

  12. Hello VJers, I have a question my fiance and I would like help with. We filed our I-129F in July and got our NOA1 on July 26, 2012. We are with the Vermont Service Center so we still have a long wait ahead of us. Will it be a problem if my fiance goes Dubai for a few months to work and returns after we get our NOA2? We don't want to delay this already long process if this will cause any problems or delays.

Thank you very much for any help you may provide.

Hello there! I'll try to answer your issues based on my own understanding & opinion...I'm reading a lot here and other blogs about visa thing & K1 application...and checking others timeline, I've noticed that there are also some people who got approved faster in Vermont Service Center...And another thing, I'm from the Philippines working here in Thailand, and I've got a teaching job offer in Oman, but I can't move in there since we've got a K1 application filed in July..in the application form, my address written was the one I'm living in presently which is Thailand...so if I move in to another country, I need to inform the USCIS, then I guess, it would be much of hassles since I'll be requesting for a change of address then a police clearance from a country where I lived in since 16 yrs old which is required...and I'll be spending big bucks if I move in to another place...So I decided to stay here & save & prepare for few more months of waiting...We're halfway the journey... :)...think & ponder which is best for both of you...goodluck :)

    :)

  13. Does the G325A form need to have physical signature by the fiance abroad or she can sign and scanned copy of it can be forwared with Packet 1 ?

You have to submit the Original Form with authenticate signature, it means, not scanned or photocopied copies...and send it with the application plus other evidences...

  14. Sorry i meant G-325 A in the title.

should i keep the g-325a form with my old job as it was when i sent it with my i-129f back 6 months ago, or should add my current new job to the g-325a copy im sending her to have for her interview?

keep it looking the same, or update it? thank you

hi there!as what as I could remember, you should have written the jobs you have had in 5 yrs time...

  15. hi everyone on VJ! anyone here knows if I (beneficiary) can cancel the visa application? My fiance has been soo mean to me. I gave up a lot of things for him. I am a nurse and because he doesn't like my schedule he asked me to stop. I didn't want more fighting so i quit the job and try to be always available for him. But he never treated me fairly. He also didn't tell me that he was divorced four times. When i got sick, he accuses me of pretending and just seeking for attention( which is nonsense to me because he's not capable of taking care of me). I took a chance on him and he was just putting on a big faked when i met him. I came from a decent educated family and this guy visited me in Philippines and spent 90% of the time drinking, cussed me in front of my mom and my grandmother. I met this guy in Philippines last year and he seemed to be a perfect guy; now i know that he was just putting on a show and he's just looking for a new ex-wife. Our visa process is now close to the 5th month since NOA1. What should i do? i want to move on with my life and not stuck up with this visa thing because i know that he's not doing anything to cancel it even though i asked him to do so a million times!

Hi there...you better end the relationship coz imagine how he treats you now with the fact that you are still living afar...what more if you are already in USA with no family around...this guy is sick!being involved with 4 wives is a big question that should at least warn you in gettin' committed with him...You've got your profession and family...better leave him now while you're still on the process of K1...goodluck!

  16. Don't get me wrong, my guy & I are doing great, but we haven't had the wait or the obstacles of some of the couples I've seen on here. Do things get easier when the fiance gets here? Can people talk about their post-entry experiences?

Hi there! I'm so amused with the timeline of your application...compared to most of us here who are waiting for ages...Anyways, based on my experience and observing other's experiences...Life is really a gamble and You'll never know unless you try...It's not on how long or short your time of knowing or dating or the period of waiting...it's on how the two of you will deal with each other and live together with the commitments and new Life...the culture, lifestyle, and lots more will be some of the factors that will somehow be considered but it's always difficult at first...it will take loads of patients and understanding...just give your best shot to make things work better for both of you...and everything will be okay!don't think much, there's no assurance on our decisions, but at least you're on the track that will make you happy...goodluck on your journey...

  17. in my understanding and initial experience...I did the preparations of all the documents and filling in of forms here in Thailand, of course guided by visajourney...there are samples of filled-in forms here...then, after triple checking plus the labelling of pictures and scanning/printing of other evidences, I sent him all the necessary docs and had him signed them...no lawyers needed...as long as you have visajourney...they will really ripped off your pocket!

And with the affidavit of support, friends told me based on their experiences as well, its okay to have someone who will assure that they'll will support you when you arrive in the US...The government just wanna be sure that you won't be a burden...just go on and start your journey! :)goodLuck
