90 days from date of entry?, and if so what happens when it expires?
-
So after being here 2 months my wife has decided that not to tell me she no longer loved me but let me continue to carry on, taking care of her and her family, sending her home to bring her son, and then dropping the bomb on me on New Years Eve. So, she has her green card, but I have not done the AOS for him and won't. My question is this, how long is his K2 visa good for?
-
Not sure on the vaccinations, they will have the records from his previous medical, if any are needed they will happen. Not a big deal, they "included"
I am reffering to a waiting time. My wife has this belief there is a 10 day waiting period between medical and vaccinations. But I think that is only if you went thru sputum treatment.
-
My wife is returning to do the remedical that expired for her son. He had already received the vaccinations the last time during his medical, will he have to do them again or is there a expiration for them.
-
I am filling out the I-864 for my wife's AOS, even though her son is coming later on his K2 do I still need to include him in information about who I am sponsoring even if he isnt here yet? Because it is throwing off my dependents in household total by 1.
-
So, Should AOS, Advance Parole and EAD be sent in its own envelope/file etc? As in a separate package for each?
-
Can my wife use Advanced Parole to go get her son and bring him here once he clears the remedical? She came first and needs to go get him before the application expires
-
Did she actually complete a third medical? What happened with her culture?
yes, and it was negative, but while waiting results her son's expired and the embassy acts like they dont know anything
-
So now St Luke's has relased her, bt now her son has his medical expired and the embassy has "escalated it" once we told them it was, how do they not know this?
-
Yikes! I just noticed that the USCIS approved your K-1 petition way back in August 2013. You've been trying to be together with your sweetheart for a really long time! Is all of the delay because of the treatment and medicals?
yes
-
James...A third medical?!? That completely sucks. I haven't heard of it before.
Hang in there. You can do this! After all the waiting, it will be that much sweeter when she finally arrives.
By the way, what was the issue with the clerk?
they dont give me a reason why, just that each case is different

so they are now telling her there is bacteria in her culture again but not TB and she will have to have it treated. She goes today to see what they are talking about. Why do I feel like I am getting the run around? On top of that her son's medical expired 2 weeks ago and the embassy acted like they didn't know. I am about fed up with this. Anyone been thru this or have any ideas?

She went to get a xray prior to the remedical and it showed negative, no at the 3rd remedical they want her to do a sputum next week, with that taking another 2 months with her son's medical is going to expire before then. I am at my wits end, she is crying that she dont want to go through it again. All because a clerk didnt do their job. his is becoming devestating to us both, there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I dont know what to do anymore
-
If she completed the full 6 months of DOT I don't see how.
ok, thanks
-
is it possible for tb to show up again this soon?
-
So the embassy sat on it's thumb and let the medical expire, now she has to do a 3rd medical. Since she ended treatment on 28 march for TB, passed the 2nd medical right after, what are the chances of it showing up again on this medical? This is all we need to get visas issued. Anyone go through this before?
-
if you pass the interview and complete the steps you wait for the visa to be issued, since she went through the sputum treatment, that time is supposedly 90 days. She went to the interview on 23 June and her medical expires on 27 July, what happenes if the visa isnt issued before her medical expires? The call center is saying it is being processed, but doesnt reflect it on CEAC. If her medical expires before the visa are issued, will she have to do another medical at no fault of our own?
-
we only got 2 months after being released, we completed the interview on 25 June and have until 27 july to get her out before the medical expires, just waiting for visas
-
@james and edlie
For sure you'll get your visa soon. I've read someone who had refused before then went to ready then issued. ?? Its says it means their processing it. So just be patient if not you can always call the embassy. Just let her cry to let go of that emotions, its normal. But always remember, GOD is good. Trust.
Thank you for your reply and support

My fiancee was able to get past the sputum and schedule the second interview. She went on 25 June for it, got in , talked to both people, oath fingerprints, was told congrats. They took a few papers and her passports, the did not give her a 211g or a pamphlet. When we go to CEAC to check status, there are 2 different results:
The first says refused
the second says ready
Is the one that is refused the first interview that was cancelled because of having to do treatment? Her medical expires on 27 June so time is running short. We were able to contact the embassy and they said to wait for 2go to text her and are pretty much mum afterwards. She sees where people who have interviewed after her are getting the text to pick up their packages. She is crying and becoming distraught and I am getting frustrated and upset because she is. Do we have something to worry about or is this normal?

thank you

I just need one i-134 to cover her and her son? Or for each of them?

Will we need an updated version of the AoS? Our original package that was forwarded to the embassy had the one expiring Dec 2013, do we need to take a updated one to the interview?
The original form we sent was dated 20 Oct 2013 on the signature line.
