  1. Hey all, my wife was transfered to CSC today. Can someone add us to the list? Thanks.

    Biometrics/Case transfered to CSC 2007-05-22

seems like they are transferring EVERYBODY to CSC these days.......hope we won't have a long wait

9 months and counting for us...

If I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath. Just enjoy your life, don't think about it and let it be like a pleasant surprise when it happens.

That's what we are doing to avoid driving ourselves round the bend :)

We were put through the ringer while applying for the K-1, everything that could have went wrong did so as of now I am optomistic(well trying to be). I just don't know why they are sending every application there when obviously there is a huge backlog

I am expecting a long wait

  2. I can't believe this!!! I got my interview letter!!!!!!! I'm SO happy!!! My interview is on July 10th!!!!! Now I can relax. I was nervous because we are moving to San Francisco on August!! This is perfect!! IUJU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone!!!!!!

you got your interview already? WOW that was fast. I filed at the same time you did-but we are on or way to CSC

    way to go! congrats!!

  3. It seems like a lot of cases have been sent there lately-why?

Are things really that backed up everywhere else? I would think CSC is swamped now

I read in another post that a senator contacted the CSC about a particular case, and CSC said they are swamped right now! I would take an interview any day over waiting for them to sort through everything!

    yeah me too!

it seems like EVERYONE is being transfered there-which is kinda freaking me out

It all depends upon the dreaded FBI Name Check. If you get cleared quickly, then you will get processed administratively.

we were stuck in "namecheck limbo" when filing for the K-1, but that only took a few weeks to go to Washington & then back. I will just have to cross my fingers......the last thing we want is to be stuck

why are they sending so many cases to the CSC? does anyone have an idea?

  5. Well you can be happy if you don't like being interviewed. That's about the only difference that I know of. People that get transferred to California usually don't get interviewed. It doesn't seem to speed things up though. You still have to go through the name check. We filed in January and not heard anything yet. We did get our EAD about a month ago but no touches on the AOS since it was transferred. At least he can work while we are waiting.

    Keep happy,

    Baileyj

I am happy that we at least had some movement.....we went through an awful time with the K-1, I am really hoping that this process goes a little more smoothly for us.

    I will remain hopefull

    well?????????????????????????????????????????????

  7. Wednesday is walk-in day in most offices....................... :P

that is what I was told on the phone, but the woman at the office wasn't having any of that. She had to speak to her supervisor b/c instead of missing the appointment, we were a week early. They really didn't want to take him but I am Sooooooo glad that they did

that is where we went but the address on the notice reads:

    120 S. 8th Street.

We went to Callow Hill(I don't know what is wrong with me this week), but they pointed out that the correct address is on the notice. If you are heading South on 8th, park in the lot on the left(it is really the ONLY place to park). I want to say it is at 8th & Arch??

    good luck to ya

Thanks! I think my wife will be taking the train down on her own, so that'll be a nice easy trip for her, when we get it, that is.

the train might be your best bet-you would only have to walk 3 blocks from Market East station(the Gallery)

  8. Glad to hear you got it out of the way! Is the office on Callow Hill, same as the USCIS office?

  9. I planned to take my hubby for his bio appt today-I looked at the notice last night & realized that his appt was for NEXT week instead of today :blink: anyway.....I called USCIS & the woman said "sure go in they will see you anyway". At first they were not going to see us but then they gave in & the took his photo & prints.

I wanted to share this story because for once-we are a week ahead of schedule

  10. Well it's almost that time! We'll be going back home for a visit in about 3 weeks! :help: We should arrive in Dublin 3 weeks from today. We're renting a wee car in Dublin (economy 5 door) from budget, anyone rented from budget before?

Does anyone have any travel advice, this will be my first time back home in a year and a half. This is also my first time using my green card! I'm also hunting out a decent exchange rate for UK Pounds and Euro!

I have used Irish car rentals & in my experience they were the cheapest. As for the exchange rate, I think using a bank here would be cheaper than waiting to change money in the airport(but I am no 100% sure). All I know is.......American money isn't worth the paper it's printed on

    have a safe trip!

  11. Hi everyone! Just popping in to tell our news...... We got the VISA!!!!!! Niall went to the Embassy at the appointed time (1:00) said it was nothing like what he expected. The interveiw was over and done with before he knew it. He said they only asked one question about our marriage and that was "Has your wife ever been to Ireland?" He answered yes and that was that. He said there wasnt much else to tell as they didnt ask alot, just processed him thru. All in all the time he spent at the embassy was about 2 1/2 hours. The first person to talk with him was Irish, and he did say that she wasn't very pleasant. Then someone else came to him and took over. Hope everyone is well and good luck to those still in the process.

    Sherry

    Great news :dance::dance:

You must be over the moon-I am so happy for you both!

    Colleen

  12. i.e. my appointment letter for the biometrics which was 02/12 in St. Louis it says in case you do miss the appointment you are able to walk in every wednesday at the same time as scheduled for the appointment up to a certain date. If that certain date passed and you did not have your fingerprinting done, the case will be abandonned.

Just check what your letter says! Good luck

    will do-thanks
