hello you guys, whoever is applying for waiver.. or wondering how their EXTREME HARDSHIP should be written...i'm gonna tell you here because i've been thru it, my I-601 waiver was approved on SEPT 2008. Before i filed for it, i was just so worried about the Extreme Hardship, but my fiance, then, now is my husband, keep telling me that its gonna be okay because he was the one who is gonna write that Extreme Hardship. So he wrote it, and guess what, it was only half of the page, i asked him to rewrite it but he said i dont need to write it long, i just need to get straight to the points. i was just still doubtful, but guess again, the WAIVER was approved!!!! Well all he said in there was about his parents, explaining that they still needed him in the States, i think what helped the most was the other Statements from his parents, so get the parents or family member to write statements too, it doesnt have to be long and wordy..and actually its not as complicated as i thought...the key is...ask God to make it easier for you because HE WILL, if God wanted your Waiver to be approved then it will, alright? Good luck guys..its gonna be okay, dont get stressed out too much:)

Based on your previous experience in filing for and receiving immigration benefits, I think after getting initial competent legal advice from an immigration attorney, you could begin the process yourself and bring in an attorney when needed - like filing the waiver. Good luck.

Multiple petitions are not an issue.
 
I would DIY the petition and then when the waiver is needed reconsider the DIY and think about more experienced help

Pardon the intrusion on your overzealous rant but you JUST sent your petition in three days ago. If anyone else joins you on this rant, they're foolish. You should put your anger back in your pocket and give up on this process now before you destroy every opportunity you have to get your spouse here with you. If you're this angry now and you havent even gotten in to the line yet, by the time you have more work to do and/or have to communicate with the government to finalize paperwork, what the hell kind of crazy will you be by then. You really should calm down and wait like all the rest of us. You sure as hell arent hoping with that that youre going to get any special favors. Good grief. If anyone else on VJ subjects their real self and their spouses identity to you and puts themself in this firestorm you're trying to start, your spouse and theirs will never get thru the interview and you'll be in line for longer than the rest of us.
