  1. Thanks a lot everybody

I did try and print out the page but for some strange reason it wont do it so I have written down the number on my paperwork.

Only two weeks this friday now and starting to get excited now but I'm still betting that I will get pulled in for questioning as I am still using the same passport and it has my fiance and spousal visa in there!

  2. No, I dont have a green card because we came to live in the UK and I stopped my application. Far too long a story to go into but it was a nightmare and coming back together was really our only option.

We have been back four years now and Wyatt (US Citizen) has permanent residency here. We are returning for a holiday and I want to cover every avenue there is so I don't get turned away because I might not have the correct visa, an immigration officer does not like my face or the fact that my passport still holds the cancelled visa and they might think I'm trying to come back and live there.

  3. I have applied on-line for my ESTA and was approved and sent my application number.

What I need to know is should I have any paperwork with me when I get to the airport or will it be picked up when my passport is electronically read?

I will take a note of my application number as a just in case but would appreciate it if anybody can tell me if they have traveling using their ESTA?

    Thanks.

  4. We moved to the UK 4 years ago and the system was so much easier......there was no medical checks or police certificate.. We had to prove we could support ourselves and have a place to live.

Wyatt was entitled to NHS as soon as he set foot in the country - in fact the doctor never asked for any paperwork or proof, just looked at his passport. He was allowed to seek work right away and was free to travel in and out of the country.

Was quite a shocker to me after being put 'through the treadmill' with fiancé and spousal visas and if we had known it was so flipping easy to come from USA to UK we would have done it that way first.

Wyatt sat his Life in the UK test before he applied for permanent residency and apart from when he decides to go for citizenship I am happy to say our mountain of paperwork collected over 7 years can finally get thrown on the bonfire!!

The best site to help you further is http://www.UK-yankee.com/. Visa Journey helped me so much when going to USA and uk-yankee helped me going back!!

  6. wooo hooo - 2 out of 3 for remembering me is not so bad at all  lol

I kind of 'think' I am right but I really just want to make double sure and for the amount of british that travel to the US before filing for their fiance/spousal visas are bound to be found on this forum - after all I'm sure its still the best!!!!

  7. Well its been quite a while since I posted here and I'm not sure if anybody will even remember me but I did once used to be one of the 'old' regulars on VJ!

After four years me and hubby are returning to the US for a visit and I'm kind of stuck on what has or has not changed regarding British Citizens travelling to the US.

Last time I travelling under a spousal visa and before that it was the visa waiver programme and as far as I am aware I think as a brit I am eligable to still travel under the visa waiver programme?

I have filled in an online Electronic System for Travel Authorization and thats gone through great with the message Authorization Approved been sent to me but somebody has mentioned that he had to pay about £30 for his online application but nowhere have I found it asking me to pay anything! Which leads me to think he may have gone via an online agent that dealt with his applciation.

Can anybody put me on the right track please and let me know if I have done what is needed or do I need to do anything else (like pay, or get a stamp in my passport)?

Its just that we went through so much with our fiance and spousal process that I don't want anything to go wrong at all so am trying to cover every avenue possible!
