  1. Dear VJ Fellows,

I am ready to apply for Adjustment of Status after my K1 Entry out here in United States. So I have some confusions regarding the case, which are as following:

    1. My fiancee is sponsoring me and filling I-864 for me to be submitted AOS. Moreover, my Father In Law is my Joint Sponsor for my case. So my Fiancee lives along with her parents (Father In Law) but she is above 21 and filling her separate Tax Returns and she has not been included in my Father In Laws household. She is independent tax payer. So in this case, which form shall I fill to attach my Father in Law's Sponsor. Either I-864 or I-864A ? I am bit confused with this issue.

    2. Secondly, I didn't get any of the Vaccination Record and they didn't even vaccinated me, they simply said, you don't need it. Now when I needed DS-3025 for my I-693, I had nothing to show to the doctor. So doctor repeated whole of the medical exam again and vaccination done along with the chart. So I needed to ask that as my old medical has not been expired yet and I have repeated my Medical Exam again to fill I-693, so would it make any problem for me or would it be fine to submit the new medical there on I-693 along with Immunization chart ?

    3. Is it neccessary to file I-131 (Advanced Parole) at the time of filling AOS ? I mean, I have just been here in United States and doesn't really Intent to leave but I might also leave in case of any emergency later on. So what date should I write in Part 3's 1st Textbox (Intended Departure Date and Duration). Should I enter any of the assumed date or would I have to leave exactly on that day ?

So all of these are the confusion, kindly help me up with them. It would be really helping for me. Thank you !

  2. I am bit confused regarding this I-693 (Medical Exam & Immunizations) . Actually, I had my medical exam done but don't have any record of immunization. I have called some of the doctors but they say, they do the whole medical exam and vaccination if needed, but they don't offer immunizations only. So if I get my whole medical exam done again, then would it be acceptable ? I guess USCIS shouldn't have any problem with the whole medical exam done again along with immunizations, in-fact they must be happy with it. :D

  3. Dear All,

Well, I am here in US with K1. Now I am preparing to apply for AOS & EAD.

So the question is that as I apply for my AOS, it would take bit of time for green card to come, but can I apply in any university in the time in between my application and arrival of green card. As I want to apply as a resident. As fee for International student is thrice to the resident. So resident application for university would be pretty suitable.

I already know, this hardly have anything to do with visa journey, but somehow it is the part of it. So please assist me in this regard. Thank you !

  4. Dear Vj's,

I have recently received my K1 Issued some days before. Now I want my parents to be present at my wedding ceremony out there in United States.

So would all of you please help me up that how shall I apply for them ? I mean what visa type I shall apply for them and what would be the things needed to file a case for their visit visa ?

And one last thing would they be sponsored by somebody from United States or would they have show their own assets out here in Pakistan.

It is my request to all of you to help me up in this regard. I shall be very thankful to you !

    Regards,

  5. Dear Vj'rs,

I got my K1 Fiance Visa issued recently and now I have to move to US most probably in December. My fiancee's living and permanent address are both in Michigan (Which I mentioned at the time of Application), but due to some ticket issues problem I would have to enter in US through Chicago. So can my POE be Chicago rather than Michigan ?

Secondly, what are the things I would require to present apart from that closed envelope provided by embassy at the time of POE ?

    Regards,

    Hamza

  6. Dear Muniza,

Here is the revised link to Electronic Served DS 156 form,

Once you fill the whole form carefully, simply click there at the "Continue" button, printer shall print out the BARCODE Page, you don't need to worry about this.

That shall definitely be printed out. I have checked it again.

Moreover, your fiance wouldn't pay the fee along with Packet 3.5, he would have to submit at the instant of interview session. He shall simply need to 1500 PKR to American Express for sending his Packet 3.5.

    Good Luck !

    Regards,

    Hamza

  7. congrats. please fill us on the interview and what really happened.

They were like some common question related to the case. Some basic info. regarding petitioner (Fiancee) out there in US.

congrats, so when are you flying out and what will be your POE.

Brother, most probably in late December or earlier, haven't reserved the ticket yet. POE would be Michigan !

  8. Dear All,

If the visa has been issued after an Administrative Processing, then after how long you shall probably receive the call from American Express to pick up the Passport ?

Moreover, if somebody is in contact with Department of State and if they verifies that VISA HAS BEEN ISSUED then what do you think it is an authentic source of information or should we contact embassy in this regard.

One last thing, can there be any possible delay in the call from American Express regarding Passport pick up after the issuance of the visa or not ?

  9. Dear Original Poster,

You have to contact Immigration Visa Unit not the non-immigrant one. Write them an e-mail, they shall surely catch you back with electronic Packet 3 with all required attachments. You don't need to wait for the Physical Packet. Good Luck !

  10. You don't need to notarize Packet 3.5 Forms Faisal. Just fill the forms mentioned by SN 530 previous to my comment and attach other documents.

You don't have to pay any fee along with Packet 3.5 except the courier charges there at the American Express or Speedex, which wouldn't be more than 2000 PKR.

    Regards,

  11. Hi brother, hope you would be fine. Moreover, congratulation for visa issuance.

I just needed to ask you that did you get the news of Visa Issuance from Department of State or by the embassy ?

Moreover, did you receive your passport yet or not, if not then what was the date when you first heard that your visa has been issued ?

And one last thing who actually told you that you shall be given your passport to you in one week ?

Please reply my questions in sequence. Awaiting eyes on your response.

Thank you so much brother !

    Regards,

  12. There is a simple logic behind their refusal of accepting some of the co-sponsor at the instance of interview. According to my believe, what I actually think is that in some of the cases petitioner is totally dependent either on his/her parents or somebody else closer to the petitioner. In such a case he/she doesn't really have any reasonable income or job, in such a scenario it is highly rated that beneficiary's co-sponsor would probably be refused.

But if the Petitioner have a job and if he/she is just short of the 125% poverty line, may be some hundred or thousand dollars, and if in that case applicant use the co-sponsor then it is acceptable to the interviewer.

That is what I guess. Otherwise, there might be any other hypothetical reason behind this issue which I am unable to know. There might be any other one, but that is the one which I thinks.

    Best of Luck.

They accepted mine without any problem.

  13. Dear Sir,

I had my K1 interview today. The interview was quite good, I had already taken all the financial documents and other documents as well. The consular gave quite a good response overall. At the end of the Interview he handed me over a Blue Sheet with 212(g) marked on it, which refers to Administrative Processing. The consular said they need no further documents, everything is perfectly fine and we shall contact you when we would get finish with it.

But my question is that Blue Sheet is oftentimes used for the requirement of some further documents etc, but there is no such requirement mentioned there on the Blue Sheet ( Only 212(g) is marked, AP), and even consular said we don't need anything. So why did the consular gave me the Blue Sheet for AP rather than Green Sheet mentioning 212(g).

Would you please assist me in this regard.
