  1. Wife/Fiancee's name Jay

    1. Where did you first kiss your wife/fiancee? On her lips :-). At my house, issued to me by the US Army, in Raeford, NC (near Ft Bragg)

    2. What flower best describes your wife in the morning when she first gets up: •Sunflower •Bird of Paradise (or) •Snap Dragon? I think she'll say Snap Dragon.

    3. Which one of your habits would your wife like to break? Me almost always being right :-D

    4. Fill in the blanks in this sentence: “Whenever I want to have sex my wife wants to have sex too!

  2. *claps hands for OP*

I'm glad I'm not the only guy that can't stand (or take back) a cheater. Our two definations of what your wife did might not be the same or equal cheating, but it was considered cheating by you... so you go!

After having it happen to me (the full cheating deal... "laundry" and all... ) by my first wife, I'm very surprised (pleasantly at that) that I don't worry at all about my boo doing that to me.

  3. I don't think it was a waste of time. Sure, there's other things they can be doing, and they do handle more then one thing in a day usually.

I am a veteran of the US Army. No, I don't speak of all veterans. I don't think burning the flag is any way, shape, or form free speech. People do it to insult other people. If i were to die serving my country, my coffin would be draped with that so called piece of cloth. I risked my life for that flag. It should not be descreated in any fashion here in the US. We can't control morons in other countries.

So someoen has some beef with the government. That's fine. Try and show your dislike in meaningful ways without being a moron by burning the flag. Actually use your free speech and freedom of the press rights to try and reach as many people as you can. You'd probably get through to alot more people that way. I might listen to you, until yoiu torched a flag.

BTW, this amendment has been requested many times by all 50 states. And each time congress votes on it, it gets closer and closer to being approved. This time, the house approved it and the senate was one vote away from having the 2/3rds needed to pass it.

  4. resist Luke..... temptation leads to the dark side.....

screw it... it's only meant as a joke...

Lisz (and the others buying the stuff), got a digitial camera? :-D

    /me goes and behaves now

  5. I've shopped there before... in a "previous life". And the evil witch was very ungrateful about it as well... and the sales girls said I was going to impress her very much that xmas as well... liars!

    lol

    Lynne,

Saving for your future, when you retire, is something great. I noticed someone here has a negative comment about investing into your employer's 401K, but the one I have (technically not a 401k, but it's basically the same thing) I would pay the same amount of "fee's" if I went with the same mutual funds on my own.

Indeed, the best person to give you advice would be a financial advisor. They can tell you alot more info on each fund, what's best based on your situation (age, time to retirement, etc). I can offer this much advice though. Most 401k's are mutual funds. Basically what that means is, you pay money into the VJ mutal fund (totally made up). VJ has a manager that invests everyone's money into different stocks and bonds. They do all of the work of looking at market trends, what will make money, what's time to sell, etc. So you don't have to be glued to the stock prices and what not. Mutual fund prices update just once a day, versus stock prices changing by the minute. http://mutualfunds.about.com/?rd=1 That might tell you a bit about mutual funds.

If your younger, with a while before retirement, then you can take a bit more risky choices. I have about 27 years before I can retire from my job, and that will be before the SS retirement age. So I invest into all 3 risk catagories. High Risk has bigger payoffs in the long term - normally. Low risk, well, not as well of a payoff normally. But this is a common misconception I find in alot of people. You only lose what you invested if you sell your mutual fund shares when the fund is doing bad. You'll be investing each month basically, which works out as dollar cost averaging. Basically it helps limit some of the risk in the long term.

If you take your list above and do a search on a financial site, you should be able to find the fund codes.. I'll try and do some of them. I personally look at the long term graph of the fund's price. Riskier one's will normally have lots of ups and downs. Low risk will have a generally straight line graph. This is where you need the advice of a professional. While my way of doing things for me has so far seen my portfoilio valued about about 600.00 more then I've paid into it (haven't been doing the 401k type thing long), doesn't mean it would be your best bet.

I've done some looking for some of the funds listed above (but the symbol for it next to the name)... need to go for now, I'll finish the rest later. BTW, some of the one's that your offered, I have as well :-)

  7. *runs around dancing* we are APPROVED! Just got off the phone with my babygirl, who had a breeze (slight mix up on the ticket though) at the embassy. I'm sure she'll give a full report, but what she told me was they asked her 1 question: How did the two of you meet? The lady then said that we are both old enough to know what we are doing, and that from the time we've met to now show's we've taken our time... so we're approved.

Now... logitics (moving, banks, etc) to work out and I can finally make her an honest woman :-D

  8. Chopf**k... just because he's been burned doens't mean everyone's out to get a GC. But I guess that's hard for someone in his position to understand.. it's actually possible for people to be in LOVE and not to just use them.

The only advice I can give is to just sit him down, and force yourselves to talk it through. No beating around the bush.

  11. well, I haven't seen it.. so can't really say. But I know with some vacations, you have to make down payments, deposits and the such.. which you can't always get back... so I could see that being an issue.

  12. Okay folks,

I'm wanting to take a little get away... maybe 4 or 5 days or so, with Jay and her daughter... and maybe her mom (not sure if her mom will be able to come though). Jay should be my wife by the time this trip happens... but we can't get any firm dates yet because we don't know when she'll get to come here... but we are assuming by Mid July at the latest.

Although I live in NC, I wasn't born and raised here, so I've never been to Myrtle Beach. And normally, I'd avoid the place like the plague, cause I hate crowds. But this trip is more for her daughter then for me, a chance for her to get to know me, while my 2 kids will be in Texas with their egg-donor.

So I'd like some ideas of good "family" kinds of things to do at Myrtle Beach, besides the obvious thing - going to the beach.

I hear they have the Dixie Stampede, as well as the Medievel Knights (or something like that) and I think that might be fun to go do. But what else? Know of any good places to stay? Things like that. We're thinking of getting a suite or something because... well.. we'll be newlyweds and we'd like to do the laundry while we are there  But of course, we don't have to... but it would be nice.

Any ideas, suggestions, etc from people that have been there would be appreciated it. And yes, I know you can look stuff up on the internet, but I'm looking for some first hand knowledge here.

    Thanks in advance
