Senator or congressman why ? who are they ??

Don't worry about US Senator and US Congressman at this point.  As SusieQQQ mentioned that it Looks like they are getting ready to issue you Immigrant visa.  My sister got similar email in June. No need to pay fees.  Just send them the requested documents and wait.

In worst case scenarios some petitioner do have to reach out to US Senator/Congressman to get their applications processed further.

    Good Luck!

Has anyone else experienced this. My approval after a years wait in Nebraska was 6/20. Just spoke to tier 2 officer at uscis and file still not sent to NVC 😭😭😭 why?? Anyone else went or going through long delay in case transfer like this??

It can take 2-4 months for NVC to receive and assign you a case number .  I learned this through the experiences of other VJ members and from my own sibling's application processing.

    Salam Visa Journey friends,

Just want to update you all that my brother received his visa last week. Alhamdullilah!! He was interviewed with his family on October 24th, 2018. Two of his family members received questionnaire email the next day of interview. All family members were placed in AP for about 6 and half months. We were requested to get second medical by the end of sixth month after the interview. After submitting of second medical, he got visa  issued in 30 days.

This AP process was a stressful nightmare for our family, but finally is over Allah ka shukkar. One of his child  is still waiting for visa due to delay medical.

I wish you all good luck with this stressful waiting time in AP. Do not lose hope, every case is different and takes AP process according to individual's situation I guess. This forum was very helpful during this time and we got a lot of information from here.

    Salam and Congratulations!

By the way did your brother receive sealed envelope from the Embassy with the visa or not.  I am just curious as other VJ members have mentioned that the sealed envelope are not given with visa any more.  Thanks...

Mutahir, can you confirm you are contacting the Islamabad embassy through the online inquiry form? https://pk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-inquiries/
I have tried contacting them, but it has been a month, and I have not heard any reply, not even a generic one.

Yes, I contacted Islamabad Embassy using the link you posted.  But, you have to attention to a rule mentioned in the inquiry site.

If your question can be found in the Q&A on previous page, you will not receive a response to this query.

I read somewhere that if you case has been updated within the last 60 days, you will not get any response.  So, I sent inquiries 2 times by making sure the case wasn't updated within 60 days.  Both times I received a generic message within 5 days.  And the timesstamp of the case was updated accordingly.

Hang in there.  It is tiring to wait without any feed back from the embassy!

My sister recently went through F4 visa interview. Her case was put on AP. CO asked for family pictures. She only had one at the time of interview. She is asked to courier more pictures. The case is showing under AP. So anyone going to F4 interview, bring family pictures with you. I thought it was asked more commonly during IR/CR1 or K1 cases.

I have a question though. My niece will be turning 21 in couple of months. What happens if she turns 21 and the visa is approved after that? I know she will qualify under CSPA since it took four years before F4 case was approved. But for CSPA calculation, do they have to schedule another interview or it's automatically calculated?

Assuming that your niece was interviewed along with your sister, there is no need to worry about it.  Her age is locked when the your sister's case became current/interviewed.

CSPA is automatically calculated first by NVC and then by the Embassy.  Final judgement is made by CO though.  Only my sister received interview letter from the Islamabad Embassy but we advised her to take all her kids (over 21 years of age) and get the CSPA calculations done at the Embassy.  3 of her kids were able to get visa while the oldest didn't get it as she didn't qualify for CSPA.

    Good Luck!

My younger sister is under CSPA since April 4th 2017.

At first thankyou for responding. I know visa is not guaranteed but I had thought whether we both will be eligible to attend interview or not. It's good to hear that CSPA is automatically calculated and thankyou for making it clear :)

When you get an interview letter, please make sure to bring along CSPA eligible candidates, even if those candidates haven't filled out applications and/or paid fees.  At the embassy entrance, they will be allowed to filled out applications and pay fees if Embassy Staff determines the eligibility.  There are several cases mentioned in this forum with similar CSPA experiences including my neices/nephews.

    Good Luck!

can anyone please help me with this thing

Paying the fees will not guarantee visa.  But, if you don't pay the fees Counselor Office may or may not consider the application.

2 of the nieces aged out and got the visa after paying the fees at the US embassy in Islamabad.  However, third niece didn't get the visa.  CSPA is automatically calculated by NVC and final decision is made by the Embassy issuing the visa.

    I hope this helps.

Interview was on April 04 2018.

Islamabad embassy asked several questions via email.  we responded promptly.  Status date changed after we send them our response.  Case has been in AP since that time.

After several months without activity, my sister's case was updated.  Still under Administrative Processing but the "Case Last Updatedhas changed.  I hope my sister and her entire family get the visa quickly now.

So its been more than two weeks since our case got into AP. Case was last updated on 15th oct. Can anybody please tell how long normally they take to process case when it is in AP? Thanks

Welcome to the club of "AP Sinkhole".

No one knows the duration of AP process.  I read many threads on this website on this topic and found that AP can last years as well.  But hope for the best.

One of sister was on AP for about 2 months before getting visa.  Another sister on AP since April 4th.

  11. My sister and her family was interviewed on April 4th 2017.  CO in Islamabad Pakistan told them every thing was OK and they should receive their Visa in couple of weeks.  They were not handed any paper or questionnaire.  A week later they send an email questioning my sister's husband, his business, and his family details.  We answered all the questions through email as instructed.  Since that time his status is showing "Administrative Processing" while the rest of the family status is "READY".

Last month we requested Islamabad Embassy to issue Visa to family members (my sister and her kids) while husband can join once the AP is over for him.  Embassy gave a generic response and the status of all family members remains the same.  It is been 6 months and 12 days since the interview.

Although this topic has been extensively discussed in this forum but I am wondering if there are other families in the same boat.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and experience on this topic.

Hello, I submitted documents on 24 Oct, CEAC was showing refused until yesterday. Now it is showing AP so I want to ask how much time do they take to move from AP to READY?

Unfortunately, there is no time frame for AP process.

My sister was interviewed on April 4th and was told that she will receive passports in 2 weeks.  2 days later her status went on AP.  We made few inquiries but a generic email response from Islamabad Embassy.

Just wait, unless some one can provide more insight.
