  4. First of all i would like to give all the Glory to our dearest Jesus who really made all these things possible and guided me all through out my journey and of course to this wonderful site I've learned a lot just by reading experiences and advises since day 1 that we knew we were going the CR-1 route also because of this site we've saved a lot of money instead of hiring a lawyer just to do these and those things for us, every time i felt unsure I always run here and post my questions weather a serious one or questions making me paranoid my VJ fam are always here and ready to give out answers THANK YOU GUYS! ... For all those who are still in the process always believe and have faith in God that everything will be done in His perfect time... God bless you all and once again Thank you from the bottom of my heart I LOVE YOU ALL!:D:thumbs::thumbs:

  5. Well I've been here in the US for +30 plus years and have heard many people with plans and stories of how people would like to go and retire in the Phils when they reach the age of retirement and I have only known a few (less than fingers on one hand) that actually done it. And even when they do go, they dont sell everything they have and make a move for good.

For some of you that migrate here that are older and don't have kids that are living in the US I can understand it would be a bit easier to relocate. But once you have invested time, family, money and sweat and gets used to the living here I doubt many can leave the US for good. Many people think that their life would be like when they are there for vacation but many find out it's not the same and eventually return here. My lola has tried so many times but can't seems to stay there for good.

Many of the ones that we know returns because primarily of family kids..grand kids and also medical treatment.. etc..but also just the way of life they have been used to here.

My own parents now are also faced with this dilemma, it's been five years of planning but have not happened.

    agree...

  6. reading stories like this makes me feel bad coz I know the feeling of finally we are approved of our visa and ending the long journey of waiting all we want is to be with our other half thinking that we will have a happy life together but it turned out a night mare,im sorry sis your going through a lot there right now but don't loose hope God is always with you there are shelters who can help you there ask for help and if you can report to police as this is a domestic violence please do,don't be afraid to fight for your right be strong for your daughter she needs you. God bless you!
