  1. Hi guys. I have a question for you.

How long Financial evidence and Police certificate will be valid?

An immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for my wife at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in

ADDIS ABABA on July 3, 2012 at 08:00 am.

I filed to my wife on 2010 and NVC received DS_230, police certificate, Affidavit support i-864 other certificates written below.

CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS = C(Direct inquiries to your consulate / embassy)

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 = Y(The required document has been received.)

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 = Y(The required document has been received.)

    2 - PASSPORT= Y(The required document has been received.)

3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE = O(The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements.)

4 - ADOPTION= F(This form is not necessary for this application)

5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE = O(The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements.)

6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION= F(This form is not necessary for this application)

7 - COURT RECORDS= F(This form is not necessary for this application)

F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE = Y(The required document has been received.)

8 - CUSTODY PAPERS= F(This form is not necessary for this application)

9 - MILITARY RECORDS = F(This form is not necessary for this application)

10 - ETHIOPIA POLICE CERTIFICATE= O(The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements.)

    FEE PAYMENT = $(Payment received.)

PHOTOGRAPH = Y(The required document has been received.)

F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE - F(This form is not necessary for this application)

F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE F(This form is not necessary for this application)

My question is, "How long Financial evidence and police certificate submitted on September 2010 will be valid?" I mean it has been almost 2 years since I submitted these documents and I am concerned that if both expires.

Does financial evidence(tax return) and police certificate have expiration dates?

    Thank you for your help

    Baye

I am pretty sure in most US Embassies Abroad you have to supply new evidence of financial support (new I-864, Tax returns and letter from your Employer) and also new police certificates. Most Consulates require evidence that is not more than 12 months old----hope this helps

  2. I don't think we gonna see retrogression, because we didn't see any big jump like before, I guess everything is under control, they going forward little by little without big jumps, the only think im worried that,on end of fiscal year we may expect high volume of filled applications, wich will make DOS move forward more slowly then now.

I agree...I do not think we will see a retrogression any time soon....Although never 100%predictable, Retrogression is not something that happens very often, and we just went through a huge one recently.... unfortunately, but let it just be in our past...brighter days are waiting for us in the near future :)

  3. I am really getting a bit scared now. Please NO retrogression! :(

The e-mail that you posted my dear does not confirm your statement. I do not understand how you come up with exact dates (the email does not give you any concrete information) and you seem to be so sure about it.

I think you are misinterpreting the information you are given, and you are making everyone else a nervous rack. PLEASE WAIT PATIENTLY AS WE ALL ARE. THANK YOU

  4. Guys,

Check all the forums...No one receive interview date, NO others category either, even I called already 3 times to NVC. NO VISA NUMBER AVAILABLE. Vietnamese forum only person receive interview date & its hard believe for me.

I am bully ####### every months.

    Please almighty GOD help...& help...

Please do not wear yourself out over this!!!

I have been looking at different forums for the previous months and most people receive their interview letters on a Thursday or Friday. What I think happens is that NVC starts getting them ready starting Thursday/Friday of the week before and some people receive them on Monday of the following week and some others receive them later on that week. So, stay calm....do not panic....you are one of the first people to get it :) There is still time. If you get discouraged what about the rest of us that are down the list???

  5. R u waiting for ur husband for 9 years??? oMG! Which is ur category? How is it possible if u have pd 26 march 2010

I came here as a derivative Asylee (I do not know if you are familiar with that status) joining my father. Then I had to apply for my Green Card. Immigration lost my application to Adjust my Status to Permanent Resident in 2005. So, I had to submit everything all over again. That postponed everything another 4 years. So I got my Green Card at the end of 2009 so that is why I filed for my husband in March 2010. But we have been married since 2003 and he has been going through immigration ups and downs with me.

  6. Please guys BE PATIENT !!!!

DO NOT LET ANYONE GET TO YOU!!! DO NOT PANIC BY SOME UNRELIABLE SOURCE OF INFORMATION!!!

No one at the Visa Center can and/or should tell you more than the website does, so just wait patiently.

Our day will come.....maybe slowly, but surely

and let me tell you about patience.....I have been waiting for my husband to come here for 9 years now.

I do get frustrated and disappointed, but I have never lost faith and hope

    OUR DAY WILL COME :P

    PD: MARCH 26, 2010

  7. I have been following this forum for a while and I decided to join too. I have not had much luck with immigration either. My husband and I have been married for about 9 years and we have two daughters together (5 years old and 14 months old). He has never been here in the States as the American Embassy has refused him a visitor's visa or a student visa based on the assumption that he would come and stay here even after the visa expires. Immigration lost my file in 2005 and all they said was sorry, but you have to submit everything all over again. They gave me a reason why the file was lost and it was a stupid reason. Apparently, our file was too big and they had to transfer it to a different department for a bigger folder and it got lost on the way. As angry as we were we found out we could not do anything about it. We submitted everything all over again. Our case was completed on December 17th 2010. As many other people retrogression affected us too, so now we are waiting for the interview date. Hopefully not for much longer. We have been patient enough. Our PD is March 26, 2010. Good luck to everyone.
