  1. The minimum number of months that you have to be in the US to naturalize based on the 5-year rule is 30. If you traveled for 27 months, that means that you were in the US the remaining 33. 33 is more than 30. If you haven't interrupted your residence by staying out of the country for more than 1 year at a time (or more than 6 months without proving that you intended to keep your residence in the US), you should be fine.

    I agree

  3. Thank you for the information.

But i have submitted all these documents along with AOS. NVC confirmed that my husband's case is compelted in USA and moved to India and waiting for visa availability. I have sent them last 3 years tax return plus my job letter and pay stubs.

You think my husband should have a file for all these documents in India during an interview. For Ex. my tax returns, job letter and etc.

    You guys are great help.

Yeah. Even though I had submitted everything to NVC, now that our PD is getting close to being current-26 March 2010, I sent my husband all updated documents in Albania so that he has them for the interview in case they ask. It is better to have more than they need than not enough. Good luck to you.

  4. Hello Everyone!

I am new to the visa journey.

My PD is Sept. 23, 2010.

What is IRS Transcript that has been asked at an interview. Please confirm.

    Thank You

May God unite us all with our loved ones.

IRS Transcript is basically proof that you get from IRS that you filed taxes for a given year.

A tax return transcript shows most line items from your tax return (Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) as it was originally filed, including any accompanying forms and schedules. In most cases, your transcript includes all the information a lender or government agency needs. It does not show any changes you, your representative or IRS made after you filed. Ask your financial institution to be sure a return transcript will meet their requirements. The tax return transcript is generally available for the current and past three years.

  5. I am in the same situation my L1 visa is expiring in NOV and my F2A PD is 1 yr away...I took an info pass appointment with local USCIS office and they could not find any solution for me.They suggested me to over stay here after my L1 expires untill my husband becomes USC.And my stay will be legalized then..

wellll..they know the loop holes in their system..

Please do not fall for it----sometimes you will get false information even from the local USCIS office----they gave me a wrong advise way back and I am paying for it now....being away from my husband for 9 years. When I went back there and told them that you advised me to do so....they said : "No, this is all your fault." Not everybody there knows what they're doing and not everybody is responsible for what they say. Sometimes they will just say something to get rid of you...in the end you will suffer the consequences not them....Please do not fall for it.

  6. yes, there are just three F2A interviews.!!!

but Many times i found that they update the schedule list after 15th of so and so month..

it is sure that we don't have any mail or letter so we are not the lucky one but consulate will update for August.

I am trying to check the list for the US Consulate in Albania, but I did not find anything. How did you check yours? Maybe is the same thing. Thanks

  7. MY friend after very calm quite and patiently wait i decided to pick the pen and write some thing first we don not need to argue with each other nor fighting what i understand in us hard to do unfair according to their system of check and balance so no point of to raise question on transparency on any department including nvc dos and uscis couple of days ago i post way of working of dos for publishing visa bulletin again i am repeating on the starting of 2nd week of each month the started to collect the information from all over the us embassy and consulate how many visa has been issued in all category and this process get end around 23 to 25 or some time 27 of each month suppose they have quota of 8000 for f2a for a month and only 6500 visa has been used rest of the 1500 will add in the next month quota so total number of visa available for next month will be 9500 pd will move on by following this method for the next month and suppose in the next month the realize that the all 9500 of allocating and adding one has been utilized and more visa has been issued so the access use of visa from monthly allocation formula will sure leave the impact on the next visa bulletin may can make it slow or stop on some point dos is bound with yearly or fiscal year quota allocation according to their law act of immigration the cant use the one visa of a category to category b until the applicant not provide all nnecessary required documents to co which is the basic requirements under the section 221g once few people fail to provide them so in the end of the fiscal year the un use visa will move the next category that's my opinion i may be wrong

    MY PD 10TH MAY 2010

    WOW...that was a very long sentence :)

  8. You can't blame NVC or DOS. We all know before getting married to non-US citizen or someone who is not in the US about the wait period and PD movement. We can't blame NVC for our decisions when they were very clear from the beginning that it would take few years. I know their processing time sucks but why should they need to care about our feelings. Rules are rules and you can't bring emotions and feeling into them. Instead of blaming them we should blame ourselves for not marrying to US citizen or someone who is already in the US on H1B or F1 visa? Can we do that? No, right. Then, we can't blame them. Just accept the reality..

I don't even know what this means....blame ourselves for not marrying US Citizens????? Don't blame NVC/DOS? REALLY????
