  1. Haven't been on for awhile, working overtime keeping busy trying to make time fly...LOL.

I'm HERE!!!!!!!!! Case Complete today :D:D:D

They answered the phone AFTER midnight, just to tell me the Supervisor review found my Police Certificate (I won't bother crying about the $48 I spent sending them another one last week... because I'm WAY TOO HAPPY right now :dance::dance: )

    Oh what a feelin'!

    Congrats!!!

Guess who got the visa! :D (that's my happy face btw)

    AWESOME!! CONGRATS

Interview was yesterday, visa approved! CEAC status today is showing ISSUED :dancing:

    FABULOUS!! CONGRATS.

  2. For Cr1 you simply pick get a new account and sign up for "courier services only" They won't have your interview on there.

And you HAVE to have the loomis print out to get into your montreal interview.

    it'll look like this:

    loomis.jpg

Thanks NLR that's what I printed out. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that I also have to travel 2.5 hours to pick up my passport. Too many road trips in one month LOL. Toronto for medical(5 hours one way), montreal for interview(10 hours one way), north bay for passport(2.5 hours one way). Good thing I like to drive.

  3. I took my medicals in Toronto ( Dr Ian Zatzman). It took about 10 calendar days to receive my medicals (paid $15 for courier within Canada). very prompt service thou.

When you schedule your interview appointment, you will choose a loomis branch to receive your passport with Visa. apart from that you don't need to do anything with loomis. They will contact you when they receive your passport.

Inside the consulate you would need between 1-2 hours to finish all the formalities. I went by Via rail from Toronto & stayed in Travelodge. stay & commute together cost ~250/- including taxes. it gave me peace of mind! definitely worth the money.

    Good Luck for your interview

When you schedule your interview appointment???? NVC schedules the interview appointments...at least they just scheduled mine yesterday

there's a parking lot on corner "place Philips" and "cathcart st". it's a 2 minute walk to the consulate.

    Thank you very much.

  4. Finally got our interview date. June 23rd!

    Congratulations

    We got ours too...June 10!!! :D

    Congrats

Yay! Got the email today and interview is set for June 17th! I couldn't be happier. :)

    Awesome. Congrats

    Checking-in!!!!

Got my case complete this afternoon!

I asked the lady who broke the news to me if they were still scheduling for June and she said yes!

So, I hope I made the cut and will get a June interview after all!!!!!

Congrats again. Hoping you make the cut for a June interview

  5. Really?! Another Boston person?? Awesome! :D

I'm heading that way too. South of Boston though. Fall River.

Not sure how to say this

CASE COMPLETE AS OF THIS AFTERNOON

 :dance::dance: I so just did a happy dance for you. Congratulations

Case completed today :dancing: Thank God.

Just called NVC; hold time 45 minutes - heard the good news and she told me that the next step is the schedule of interview.

    Awesome news. Congratulations. :dance::dance:

  6. I have my interview scheduled for June 25th. I was just curious about the area around the consulate. I will be driving, there and back the same day(10 hour drive each way) so am wondering if there is any parking available?? And is it very hard to get to?? I've driven through and in Quebec a few times and I absolutely dread driving in Quebec. Also when do when sign up for loomis and typically how long does it take for medicals to be available for pick up?? How long will it take if I have them send the medical to me?? Was thinking of having medical done in Toronto(5 hour drive) a few weeks before my interview and just have them send me the results. Can't afford to stay in Quebec for a week.

  7. :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.............................. :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

12th JUNE it is......................... so happyyyyyyyyyyyyy.....................

Just called NVC, was on hold for 45 mins...but it was worth it... got the news.. interview scheduled......less than a month...omg.......

    Congrats!! Feels awesome doesn't it.

    Congratulations.... :D

It feels good to have an interview date isn't it? I can relate to your joy

Thank you so much!! And yes it feels GREAT!! I don't feel like my life is on hold anymore. I can actually start making tentative plans. Few, feels like a million pounds has been lifted.

Congratulations. I have updated you on the spreadsheet.

    Thank you, and thank you

  8. Just realized your interview is Monday. Woot woot!! Exciting!!!

    Congrats!!!!!!

Does anyone know if NVC is the one schedules the interview date or does all our paperwork have to be sent to the embassy and then they're the ones who schedule it?

    Just wondering...

Thank you! NVC schedules the interviews. And then your paperwork is forwarded to the consulate

    Awww hooray congratulations!!!!! ??????

    Thank you

  9. They should call it the ds-OMFG instead

This made me laugh. Thanks I needed that.

I got this email from my lawyer and I am so upset (I am crying right now) I just want to confirm with you guys. Have you had any experience with this kind of answer from NVC.

I spoke with the NVC and they confirmed that they do not have your request to register for electronic filing in their system and that they do not have the affidavit of support in their system either. Soky’s request yesterday was submitted using her email address, but the original contact we received from the NVC came to my email address and both your email addresses, so it is possible that they might not recognize it coming from her email. So I will be sending them another request from my email address. The person I spoke with confirmed that making more than one request should not be a problem.

We then need to wait for them to register us based on either Soky’s email or my email. Then we can resend the Affidavit of Support.

Please Help! if this is true we are going to be so behind.....

I hope you are right! I am following your timeline...thanks

It takes NVC roughly a month to receive emails. So end of this week beginning of next week you should hear something from them. I was freaking out too, but it all worked out and they received all my emails as I now have case complete. Keep your chin up, it will all work out.

  10. I've been feeling sorry watching others go through this sort of crud... and now here I am. Thanks for your madness :P

Well, yours is probably the 'right' one! Why doesn't mine say that title, nor does it specifically state RCMP, ugh! Yet when I google RCMP district offices in Calgary, the one I went to is listed there.

I even paid $40 for this and waited several weeks for it to arrive in the mail! How did your process go and where did you get yours? Any other Canadians able to help me figure out if what I got was insufficient somehow? :help::lol:

    http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf as per USCIS http://www.uscis.gov/i-864

    Good luck!

Well as I figured out, I do have the right information/document. But as I was slipping my photocopy back into the folder, I realized that there is a second page that I didn't include because it didn't appear to be important. Now I'm not so sure as the NVC rep was asking me if my copy stated anything clearly about searching the Canadian Police Information Center - which it did not, it mentioned the Repository.

Then I noticed this second page has 3 sections titled:

What is a Police Information Check? (short description)

What Systems are searched for PIC's (Here it states what she was asking for on the phone)

Police information Check Disclosures (a list of records/charges/reports that might be mentioned on the document)

Well silly me didn't think this would have any importance to NVC as it looked like an information page for the recipient/me, whoopsie :bonk:

Or at least now I'm believing this is what has caused the questions at NVC's end.... and I'm on hold to confirm/deny this with a rep

NOOOOOO My Call just got 'lost' at 17 minutes in!! No music, just dropped somehow, and now it's busy lol!! I woke up at 4:54 my time to log in and use google voice at the earliest moments while the call center was still 'closed' and now I can't help but shake my head and wonder.

Well, guess I'm up now! Going to make coffee and come back to sit on hold.:D

I live in Ontario, and my police cert seems a lot like yours, Mine was only one page though. I didn't to go RCMP or OPP, I had to go to my local police department. I paid $36 for min and had it the next day. Mine was approved no problem. Hope you get this figured out. Good luck
