Thank you for your response 37 shells. Confusion is an understatement of how I feel most of the time, I'm sure many of you guys feel the same way. I try to read as much as I can and educate myself during this intolerable wait but the more I find out the more I fear that I filed something wrong.
I also just got some unpleasant news, my package for I-485 and a work permit got rejected because my lawyer filed it on an outdated version of the form. I cant believe it, I don't sleep, I'm scared, I cry all the time, I count every second I wait for any kind of answer and he just doesn't know about an updated form??? I am so frustrated and helpless right now, why do we have to keep struggling trying to overcome all these obstacles over and over again like we haven't suffered enough already?! Sometimes I wonder, when I pray and beg every day, does God even hear me?....
avk, I am so sorry to hear you go through this. I know exactly how you are feeling because just last week I was feeling the same way and BAM my approval came on friday. I had lowest of the lowest moments and I contemplated in my head whether to commit suicide or not. I kept telling myself that how would my family feel? I cried so many times and denounced that God ever existed so many times. I wondered how he could love me and see me go through this pain without helping? As many times I thought about this, I would always dream at night with great visions of the future and God telling me everything would be ok. I would quote scriptures about victory anytime the devil brought negative thoughts to my mind. That helped me alot. I have no car,job or nothing I could call mine so I was stuck in the house for all those months. Try and do things you love the most.Trust me it would clear your head. Take each day as it comes.God gives us strength for each day. Concerning your lawyer,I think he is incompetent. Why not try some non profit organization in your area? It may take a while to get an appointment but this process is all about patience. I have learnt it through the hard way. I am happy i am almost done with this process because attorneys are a thorn in my flesh. My lawyer dooesnt even know that I have been approved. SMH!. It will all work oout avk and everyone else waiting. We have all been there. Feel free to send messages to those of us who have completed this process.I did that and it really helped. God bless everyone and remember God doesn't end in a negative. The path of the righteous continues to shine brighter and brighter.Good luck family

Try http://www.myprioritydate.com/ - their calculations are probably as good as anyone's guess here.
Thanks Athena June for the link. Have a great day

Hi love me, thank you so much. I couldn't have survived this process without the likes of you
. I am still celebrating here. Concerning the deferred action, I don't think you can travel with it if you do not have a valid visa status currently. It is better to wait for the green card before traveling out.
Anyone heard from MacBook?
-
Ohh wow congrats soo happy for you. Did u get any RFE. At least some good news here in such a long time. Go celebrate

Thank you lordphelpme and peanutbutter, I got a RFE for good faith marriage and responded 2 months ago. Lordphelpme, you should be getting a response from them next month or so. 26 MONTHS AND COUNTING!!!
I give up
Myjay, it is time to call VSC to ask about your case. It is taking exceptionally long. Based on the link that someone posted previously,it seems your case is stuck at background check. Gosh, and to think 18months was eternity? Don't give up dear. It seems easy to say but I think I might just give up myself. Our lives have been placed on hold forever. God help us all.
26 MONTHS AND COUNTING!!!

Read the link below Myjay. Stay strong.

Guys I kmow I have felt at times at my lowest but I can't give up and let my abuser win and I have to be strong for my daughter it's 14 months and counting still no approval or RFE. We are all helpless but I think we need a voice. sometimes I think of wat we can do so vsc can hear our frustration or uscis on a whole. In our case especially being abuse it feels like the abuse all over again. Wat can we really do bombard vsc with letters of frustration only God knows but my friends just put your faith in him. Remember he his an ON TIME GOD.
Take care guys and remember we are here to support each other through the good, bad, and ugly feel free to vent your frustration.
Thanks lorphelpme and peanutbutter. It is really tough at times.Sent my RFE back in September and waiting for a response. My 60days will be up next week. How are you guys coping financially, emotionally and mentally? As of August 31st 2012,the current processing time for I360 in VSC is 15.1months. God help us all

I don't think I can take this any longer. I have reached the lowest of lows.

optimisticchic your case is different, they were ready to adjudicated your Vawa and then they noticed something was missing in your case and they couldn't give the decision in that day, and because of that they sent you an RFE. Wait 30 days for the decision.
Thanks Sandra!
-
lion_lion you are waiting 18 months, it's time to ask your congress person to help you. Vawa Unit is adjudicating the Vawa cases from April/May 2011, your case was left behind then you need to act to have your case adjudicated asap. You can try first calling the Vawa unit and tell them due the delay you will file a "writ of mandamus" , and they may adjudicate your case in 15 days, they don't like to spend lawsuit money to defend their delay.
Hi Sandra, do you think it is advisable for me to do the same thing. My case is 17months but i just sent in RFE some weeks ago. Should i wait?
-
resignedtoinswhim Vawa Unit is adjudicating the cases filed in May,2011 then you can wait a little bit and if in 60 days they don't adjudicate your case then you can ask your congress person to help you out or if you prefer you can ask your congress person to help you now,it won't hurt your case tho. You can write telling that you are considering to file a writ of mandamus, but I don't advice to file the writ of mandamus less than 16 months waiting the approval.
Hi Sandra, does that also mean they are also looking at RFE cases or just cases filed on or before May 2011. I filed in April 2011 and turned RFE some weeks ago. Thanks
-
It is tough guys. Do not be fooled by the processing times. As much as I hate to be a wet blanket, they are still working on April/may 2011 filers. TRUST ME! They sent out RFEs to April and May 2011 filers between July and August and approved some of those month filers. They will adjudicate the RFEs before going on to other months. It will all work out guys. Take heart.

Anyone heard from Liveurlife?
-
I have an attorney, and I was married to a U.S. citizen, and we have a child together.
I have not done the info pass. I have called a few times, and my lawyer has contacted them a few times as well, by mail and phone. They say my case is undergoing final background checks.
Sandranj, pls do you know what this means and how long this usually takes? I need to get a job, I'm tired of living like this.
Myjay,I am so sorry to hear your situation. I can't begin to imagine how you feel.If I may ask,do you mind telling what your RFE was for? God be with you friend.

optimisticchic send NOTARIZED affidavits ok, the person must mention full name, address, phone number, place of birth, date of birth, last time see your husband and you together, if they visited your house and when. Does he rent a house? could you get an affidavit or just a letter from the landlord stating that you lived in the house from xxx to xxxx and that he saw you in the house several times, specify day, month and year.
Explain in your affidavit why you didn't have utilities bills, joint bank account and joint tax return. Write in your affidavit you asked him many times to add your name and he refused, explain his refusal to add your name. Explain how he controlled you, tell if he was extremely jealous and if he didn't allow you to have any money or buy any clothes etc...Did you use to go to any church/mosque with him, did the priest/pastor etc...see you with him at least once, twice? then ask an affidavit as well.
Thank you so much Sandra. Appreciate your help

optimistic wedding certificate and license don't show bonafide marriage, but you should send if you have tax return, notarized affidavits from friends stating the relationship was genuine, health insurance plan, car insurance, ID showing same address, wedding cards, greeting cards, if you use to shop online send copy of the invoices showing were the goods were delivered, if you have letter from doctor, dentist showing same address of your husband or ex husband,if you travel together boarding passes, hotel invoices, pictures etc...Explain to USCIS why you didn't have joint bank account or joint tax return, tell them all details , because sometimes some husbands were controlling and basically kept the women inside the house without any rights.
Thanks for your reply sandra. I do not have tax return, health or car insurance,no shopping online as spouse controlled everything. I have ONLY what i listed above. What do you suggest? Thanks!
Hi everyone and optimistichic.. I send u a message optimistichic .., congratulation for approval and progress .. Never stop praying .. Ssisi
Hi Ssissi, how are you? I did not get your PM.
-
forgot to add wedding certificate and license
-
Are affidavits, lease, pictures, phone logs and text messages, other documents that showed common address to prove joint residence. wedding cards, personal declaration sufficient?
-
Maybe u should post ur question on the forum and not PM to see if someone elsse will answer am still waiting for an approval though. Hope u get you question answered
Thanks lorphelpme, I was wondering what evidence people that got approved sent in for good faith marriage. Some people did not have joint property and accounts so what did they send? Thanks
-
I hope everyone is doing great? I just need to vent a little. Some of you have gone through this process already and were once in our shoes. I wonder why when we request help from some of you that already have approvals, no one seems to respond. I have sent several PMs to people who have had approvals and they fail to respond despite popping up after receiving the mails. God help us all.

Myjay, you are very welcome! God uses people as His messenger at times. What is going on with your case? I think it is time to contact your congressman.
