Does anyone know what would happen if i wasnt aware of biometrics scheduled and miss the appointment?? Indianguyyy applied VAWA along with I485 a week later than me and he recieved notice of biometrics few days ago but i haven't. I just cant trust my lawyer. He's super lazy..

optmistchick Vermont usually takes 45/60 days to transfer the file to the local office,they act following policies and protocols, but if they do not transfer in 60 days then you have to contact them because sometimes they "forget" some cases there,lol it's true .We have here one member that attended AOS interview more than 1 month ago and the officer said her case was approved but she did not receive her GC, she went to the infopass and they realized the local office approved but forgot to put in the system and because of that she was waiting.. waiting and waiting and then they stamped her passport.

@case2011, financial abuse is enough for VAWA approval. There is a gal here called Fehevarig who filed her VAWA in 2010 for financial abuse and to make matters be dramamtic got approval within 2months. She comes to the forum from time to time so I guess she will post something when shesees this . I will look for the link and post soon.

I get my social number without problem within 1week now I go to the DMV for driver's license in Memhis and they say they will need to verify my EAD. Why they have to do this again? It say on website take EAD and now have to go through SAVE system. Please help. Thanks

Yeah I have paid her over 5000 dollars I renewed it in November and she made me pay just the government fees which is 380. But now I am suppose to start a new job and left all my information in my purse license social EAD card and credit cards, I've been crying off and on all day because I don't know what I'm going to do now:( , and the lawyer told me that I had to reapply even though its not expired and pay her the lawyer fees which is 500 plus the government fees!!!! I'm so frustrated!

Sorry to hear about that CC1988. Go file a police report and take it to the Social security office. They should be able to replace it for you. I am not sure what you need to do about the EAD though.
