helo guys, I got letter from local office saying the receive service request that my case is beyond proceesing time and i should have interview in 30days from letter date. is this true? my online statys still say case is in NBC and my address changed. Please how is the letter from local office for those that haave interview already. does it said same thing. I am too happy. this is for 485.

congrat piper2013, you pay filing fees for I485?It seem if you pay filing fees the case is processed faster.

Vawa2013, one incident of abuse is enough but you need to explain in detail the abuse,circumstances that lead to abuse,if you reported the case,if not why,how you felt. You should tell like a story. Try and read murid2010 case on Vawa part 1 and 2. She has only one incident of abuse, she call the authorities. She was married for only a month when incident happen. VSC ask her to rewrite abuse with more explanation. Funny thing is she get approval after 6months. Just make sure you explained very well so you can avoid RFE.

back on track here, and it seems I'm asking for the 3rd time: but the question is important for VAWA victims. So my question:

does one officially documented instance of a physical attack (by the USC spouse while living together in the US) qualify in itself as VAWA abuse? Assuming VAWA unit is satisfied (for example, if evidence was produced that the attacker pled guilty in criminal court) that self-petitioner did sustain a physical attack (one instance of battery), does VAWA unit still expect production of any evidence of longer-term harm, therapy, cruelty, totality etc.? Or may the Affidavit part talking of the abuse be one-line, one-paragraph?

They tend to look for a pattern. it is just not enough to say he or she hit me, you need to state how you felt before and after the abuse. How did you felt emotionally when it happened, what led to the attack? Did you report the abuse, to who did you report? Don't focus only on the abuse. Talk about how you met, why you fall in love, what were both your goals as a family, did you want kids?

We filed on May of 16 for AP, EAD and I-485 and we I got their email and text that it was accepted and will send the receipts via mail in 7-10 days! Yay! Hope it will go well!

AOS (if it is Adjustment of Status) and VB. You go off of the month of the VB. So, if the VB is for the month of April, you can file your paperwork on April 1. NOT in March when they release the UPCOMING VB. Just remember to keep your spouse in status while awaiting AOS if you are an LPR. Congrats if your PD has become current. Let me know if you have any additional questions. I am in the AOS boat with you playing the waiting game.

Please can someone help me explain let's say someone priority date is 02/19/2011 and visa bulletin for April 2013 say my Priority date is current . Should I file AOS on the 1st of April or anytime visa bulletin is publish? Pls note visa bulletin for April is released a month before I.e march. Can I filed AOS march after VB say my priority date current or I wait for April? Please help. The link above does not say but is guide by uscis. Thanks!

If Department of State publish VB for april 2013 in march 2013 and my PD is 02/19/2011 do you send AOS packet once VB is publish and say you are current or you can only submitted on the 1st of April since it is april 2013 VB? This is confusing. I have hear different opinions. This link does not tell what to do. What happens if you submitted once VB is publish? Please help

Optimisticchic my application was received by vsc on Feb 19,2013 got noa a week later. received bio appt for 3/17 abt a week after noa did early walk-in on 3/12. Ead was produce 3/5 received it on 3/8 by my layer collected it 3/28 a week after giving birth.

Anyone file EAD, VAWA or AOS recently in the month of May especially with fee waiver? I want to have an idea how long it takes to get a receipt notice from them. It is about 10days for me and not received anything yet .

USCIS updated their website , saying that they are working on cases received on march 02 ,2012... i dont know how, because i applied in December 2011 and still waiting. I m so tired and hopeless. I asked for help for congress, senate, non profit organization, my attorney, even my self have contact them about my case and the answer they gave me and all this people that I asked for help for the last 4 months is the same ( MY CASE IS WITH AN ADJUCATOR AND HE IS REVIEWING IT) I really dont know what else to do, I cannot even explain my stage of deppression, i cant even work no more. i m loosing my business because all i do all day is lock my self in my room. i cant handle this no more PLEASE HELP ME GOD. because i have tried everything.
