I know that my husband is not in this to do fraud. We both love each other and we are doing this to live together here in the USA and have a good life. So nothing to worry about.

Third world countries and most second world countries. Think any country from which people might be highly motivated to commit fraud to get to the USA.

Is Peru one of those?

Couples going through higher fraud countries will tend to have more affidavits to add to their evidence. Some couples do the "overkill" (sometimes it is warranted) and then post they are approved, people from other countries naively read that post and adopt it as the sovereign approach to affidavits in all situations.

Many couples follow the CR1 guides exactly here on VJ combined with any requirements sent from the consulate and are approved.

Of course, if they are lacking some of the evidence, the affidavits come into play more.

Which are the "higher fraud countries"?

You get your interview date from NVC, not the embassy. Currently, the embassy has no idea about your case and won't be able to help you.

question: we were concern about my fiance's address written incorrectly. So, we included his address and some directions how to get there.

their response was next day with my fiance's interview date and the option of picking up the package from the embassy between 9-10 am

I thought the Embassy scheduled the interviews. It's already been a while since my case was completed and from what I see in other timelines of people who have their interview in Peru is that they usually give them their interview in 1 week and a half.

Can we email the embassy to ask about our interview date? Or will only NVC know when we get an interview date?

Excellent, married in jeans it is then haha. I was more thinking just because I would be including the receipt for the dress in the proof of our relationship, but wouldn't have any real pictures of the wedding day. Lol, I liked some Peruvian food but not all of it. The NOA2 you usually get it in like 4 months after you have received your NOA1. I got it in 4 months. You are more than welcome to look at my timeline.

Do we get interview date before NVC sends our case to the Embassy or after it gets to the Embassy?

The best way to know is look up the date that NVC told you they sent your case to the embassy. What date did they say they sent your case to the embassy?

I don't know when I called on Friday and they just told me I haven't gotten an interview yet. Do they assign an interview before sending it off to the embassy?

Could the Lima, Peru be mine? How can I know? Do we get an interview date before it is send to the embassy or after it's at the embassy?

I hate waiting. I want my husband to be with me here in the USA already I miss him.

My case was completed on August 7. But I still haven't gotten an interview date.

We just did our DS-260. I guess the next thing will be to see if there's anything missing from it? Hubby's going to get a police letter ASAP.

Yes, you send the IV packet which contains:

Generally, the following is needed:

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original police certificate(s)

If everything is in the packet and nothing is missing then the next thing will be a case complete and then interview date. And if there is something missing they will send you a checklist email.

Would it be best to call NVC and ask if you have gotten an interview date? Or should I just wait till we get the interview date email?

My case was completed last week on the 9th of August, I really want a september date

It takes at least 1-2 weeks. You can always contact them by email.

Case Completed in NVC August 7, 2012! Hopefully me and my hubby get a September interview. If possible an interview at the end of August
