  1. Awesome, how long do you plan on staying?

I will be flying in on the 22 or 23rd of December. Then flying up to DaNang for a week or so before returning to Saigon.

How do you get the opportunities to Teach English?

    Thanks,

    Steve

  2. I got the cenomar or certificate of no marriage from national statistic office here in the Philippines, i don't know if what is the equivalent of that agency in your country...

Okay thanks! I will research more.

  3. Oh My - This is the first I have heard of this... "Cenomar" Where do you aquire these? and do all countries require them? We are still waiting on our NOA 2 from Vermont.

    Thanks,

    Steve

  4. I hope that you feel better since you got your rant out.

FYI, last year it was the WAC that was so far behind the EAC in petition processing. At that time, I had similar feelings as you do now, but for the WAC  .... Believe me, we have all been through the same trial. Certainly we deserve a better immigration system, but we Americans just continue to accept "it'll do" solutions from our politicians. I am not singling out on group or the other, they all are a part of this ongoing problem. The Department of Homeland (In)Security is like a big ship on the ocean, without a captain or a rudder, just going around in circles....

Hang in there, your time will come, it will get better.

Good luck on your visa journey.

I agree... It's Pretty Frustrating with the Vermont office being backed up, and I have not even waited yet. Interesting that they would not choose to farm some of the applications out to the other offices. And Texas sending more to them knowing they are backed up.

I am headed to Vietnam in December to try and help ease the waiting pain... :D

  5. Our journey has begun. Thank you VJ! For all the info and support and the people here that take the time to share their stories and experiences so we can find our way.

I received our NOA 1 letter, of course checked our case status on the USCIS website. They offer the option to set up an account. Is that something I should do? I submitted the contact form with my I-129F. They sent me a text and email when the received our package. I didn't know if creating and setting up the account on the USCIS website would duplicate or confuse things.

    Thanks,

    Steve

  6. Do some reading in the Vietnam regional forum. Front loading has been discussed several times.

Briefly, you want to front load with evidence of the development of your relationship. Proof of visits, correspondence, proof of time spent with the beneficiary's family, evidence of an engagement ceremony (a biggie for HCMC), along with an evolution of relationship statement/letter outlining how things have gone from the start to present.

Thanks so much! Yes, I have been doing some reading...well, much reading. Hey let me ask you, In the relationship evidence, should the day we met be the top page or would that be the present? I have been struggling with that one, one day I think the beginning should be on top, then I think ...no, the present should be on top. Stress...ha!

Our engagement was at the end of March in DaNang, what a wonderful experience and blessing. I love my fiancée, her family is fantastic too... Thank you all for your support!
