  1. Hi Crakzor,

I sent my fiance a scanned copy of that form and the petition was approved. But I am not sure if that will affect as well in the visa approval because I haven't scheduled yet.Since you already did.Just hope and pray that it will be approved. I have a feeling that it really depends on the one looking at your papers.

    Keep praying,

    Regards,

    MC

We did the same. I did not discover Visa Journey until I was almost ready to send the petition. I spent months agonizing over this. I had the original signed docs ready (I flew up to Canada (for a visit) and got them after I discovered they were supposed to be original) to go if the RFE ever came but it didn't. We were approved with no RFE for the petition or the Visa. We got lucky and maybe you will to. Just be ready in case the RFE comes.

I'm sure it depends on who is reviewing the package. Good luck!

  2. yes, but I think its the other way around, the vaccination is the I-693.. anyway, I had it, but Honolulu POE requested my x-rays, apparently they do this and the immigration officer was annoyed that I was not aware that I needed to hand it over, so the problem was, I had put my copy of the vaccination record in the x-ray envelope and totally forgot, so now its lost in the vortex of immigration land and it could be forever to get it back if I tried that path, rather than risking just telling them 'you already have it, check the x-ray envelope' I requested another copy from the doctor in Sydney. the bit i'm confused about, is the civil surgeon thing...

so I now have everything except the vaccination record, the i-864, when hubby works 14 hour days, its hard to nag him about these things. He will get on to it though, and my photos. got everything else, copied, and ready... oh, haven't signed as I'm still figuring out what my new signature is going to be. haha. :P

    v.cute photo Patty.

    Thanks!

This might be helpful if you haven't already found it...

  3. I'm not being very good at getting the AOS package sorted out, it seems so painful, especially the medical part of it, which is confusing the heck out of me. I'm procrastinating.

Did you get a DS 3025 (Vaccination Record) when you had your medical? You do not need to have another medical since you just had it for the K1. You are not required to submit the I-693 but it's a good idea to submit the DS 3025.

  4. First of all, congrats Patti!! What a relief to finally be married! :D So happy for you!

Sorry that I haven't been around at all lately but I went to visit my fiance for Christmas and New Years and couldn't log in for some weird reason. I'm back now, and finding it absolutely miserable without him. Somehow it's a lot harder to cope this time than it was in June when we knew we'd be apart for even longer :( Anyway, I'm now getting the last bits together before sending package 3 back to the London embassy, also need to book my medical this week. Hearing some depressing things about how long the London embassy takes to issue an interview date though so not feeling good at the moment. I really hope this won't drag on past March you guys :( I'm in need of a pep talk...

    Thanks!!

I wont lie to you, the closer you get, the harder it gets. I was going crazy the last few days before he arrived. But once you are finially together all of the stress, loneliness dissapears. Now it seems like it really wasn't that long. All the work, stress, time apart was all worth it.

Just keep busy and things will go faster than you expect.

I have a question friends thanks in advance.....affidavit of support i-134 has to be notary or what?? Plz explain ur thoughts...plz . My fiancee is with me now a days in Pakistan....and my interview date is 17th of january.

Mine was not notarized, however you should check with your consulate. There are different requirements for each country.

  6. Happy Wedding day for yesterday Patty!! I look forward to hearing the details when you come up for air! :star:

Thanks! It was a wonderful day. I could not have been happier with the way everything turned out. The wedding was outside in a park so we were very concerned about the weather but we woke up to a beautiful clear sunny day. Whew! About 60 people attended. Everyone was so happy for us, knowing what we went through to get to this moment. It was so hard not to cry as I walked down the isle, seeing all our family and friends and seeing the big smile on his face.

I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying time together. Not looking forward to starting on the AOS package. lol

  7. Our plan is to get a courthouse wedding ASAP, but then to hold a ceremony later on when we've had plenty of time to plan it.

Yep, what I SHOULD have done... LOL Too late now! I guess for some reason I wanted to keep my stress level up. :bonk:

Today's drama is that I have no shoes. I left them in the store at my final fitting and they can't find them. Ugh. I guess it's a good thing I noticed today and not Sat.

  8. OMG!! soooo close! how exciting, relax lady, things will be fine, it won't matter if its not perfect, you will forget about it once the day arrives. photos, license, groom and celebrant/minister, the rest .. doesn't matter. hehe. look forward to your after wedding excitement post!!

Thanks! I'm sure it will be. As long as the deed is done and we get that certificate all will be good. It's just that his mom is so excited that he's finally getting married, I want everything to be what she expects. I really wanted to go to the courthouse and have a BBQ after. No such luck!

I'll be sure to come back and post how it all went.

  9. We parted ways again - for the last time, we hope - as of roughly 10:00 this morning.

Awww :( sorry. I know how hard that is. Like you said tho, this will be the LAST time! I hope the rest of the process goes quickly for you now and you'll be back together before you know it.

3 days before my big day! I've waited so long for this and now I'm a stress case trying to get everything done before Saturday. It's a fun stress tho, not like going thru this crazy process. This is his first time so he is in shock over how much it takes to put a wedding and reception together. He's hanging in there. His family arrives from Canada tonight, 8 of them. :D

  10. That seems to be the case! Finally got processed yesterday, just before the 6 week mark, so just waiting on an interview date now. Was told It could take up to 3 weeks to schedule an interview date(?!) surely it's just a case of clicking a button on the calendar when they've processed the paperwork? this has to be the least efficient system ever!

Yay!! That sounds crazy to take 3 weeks to pick a date. Hopefully it wont take that long.

  11. Thanks Patty! Yes, I'm pretty bewildered about it all. I lived there for 13 months so maybe they need to do more research. I don't know. We'll see. Pretty bummed out about it right now

I can only imagine. Sooo close and now this. :bonk: I have a feeling they just need a little additional time. Keep us posted! I'll be sending positive thoughts for you.

  12. Went back to work today :crying: Left hubby at home alone.

Sucks, doesn't it. I had to go back 2 days after he arrived and have been super busy at work with all the year end stuff. This week is much better and I'm off all of next week

He went to apply for his SSN yesterday. He had to make a 2nd trip, didn't know he needed his Birth Certificate. Oh well, it was only 10 miles from home and it kept him busy. They said he'll receive his card in 10 days. Now he's studying to get his driver's license. haha

Wedding planning is in full swing. All the things we couldn't do until he was approved now have to be done and quickly. Our friends are throwing us an engagement party this weekend. I still have to pinch myself everyday to know this is real.

And then there is Christmas shopping....ugh. I've barely started and the last thing I want to do right now. Looks like I'll be giving a lot of gift cards this year. haha
