The consulate scheduled our interview for August 21st...just 11 days after the original. This is not going to work for us, either. Just sent an email with a more specific request to be rescheduled again for at least mid-September. I am in shock right now. Please, let them be amenable.

Another Update: The last processing action taken on your case - APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION - On August 13, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file.

I am so thankful for the consulate's willingness to reschedule our interview, and excuse some errors on paperwork recently discovered. New date should be know within the next few weeks. Feeling very lucky and also grateful for the support of my family, Jamaicancricket, and Rayon's sister. Time for bed.
