I disagree. Reading this thread without having seen the others, I assumed OP was a typical fiancee anxious about his petition, and had actually encountered "doomsaying" from VJ members based on his conviction. Poor OP, I sympathize. However, after reading the compilation posted by "Columbo" my opinion changed - OP wants to get to the US by any means he can find and feels he has found a way to use the girlfriend to do so. Now I don't feel bad for the OP. I just feel bad for the girlfriend.
OP didn't say "I'm in love and want to be with her at some point no matter what it takes" (like most of us). Rather, OP said he wanted to get to the US for his job, and because he was unhappy with his life in the UK. Now he sees a way to use his girlfriend to make it happen. It was "Columbo's" post that made this clear. So yeah, he did prove something.

Actually, I would give a lot to know I was approved for the NOA2.
I'm with the others - 2 week delay to NVC after NOA2 beats 2 month delay to find out about NOA2 any day of the week.

Not a hater - just raising our infant son alone until my fiance gets here. It's really, really tough. That's not enough to buy an expedite though.
I don't think it makes someone a hater to say "that really isn't fair" when a lot of people are waiting in a long line and someone gets to skip it without a reason over and above what the others are going through. I have nothing against OP. I truly don't think that's fair.

Of users on this site: there are still 77 petitions from January outstanding. The last 2 NOA2s had NOA1 dates of 1/10 and 1/12. It gives you an idea whether you're on track or you really are behind for some reason.
OP's question appears to be how to get info about what they're really doing / what to do if you are in fact behind. It's a legitimate question, not answered by "there's nothing you can do but wait" - we all already know that. It was kind of put a little abruptly in the original post, but hey I'm more irritable than usual myself with the total lack of throughput over at VSC.
