Got all my paperwork together, just gotta make 2 copies and send it off. Why does that matter?
No matter, was just curious - best of luck on your journey!
-
Except for those freak cases that get approved in like 4 months.
Have you even filed yet?
-
I have to tell you, if the service center you are assigned to is a big problem for you, you are going to have a lot more problems. The VISA is just the beginning. The petition is not even the beginning of the beginning.
Chill out. You have a long way to go and if you think a few weeks difference in the I-129f will make any difference down the road...you are imagining things.
What WILL make a difference is if you pine away over useless stuff like the ever changing timeline and not prepare for your fiancee's new life here.
The petition is done...look ahead.
Truer words never spoken......Chill out, it's a long process regardless of what service center you're at....

Congrats! Greatest feeling ever!

Congrats!
What was the date of your NOA1? Can you fill in your timeline, please?
Agree, please fill in your timeline - it's a great help for everyone else on this site. Congrats on your approval!

Well by now we are just kind of in a daze about all of this. And realizing more and more every day that Uncle Sam does what he wants, when he wants and doesn't do it if he doesn't want to. There's really not much we can do anymore, I keep trying, like filing another service request this past Friday. But if it's anything like the past one's I have filed, the only response I get is to wait, wait, wait and wait some more. Don't really get any solid info, just stuff like "waiting on a file" etc. It seems anything that is done takes months to accomplish. So I guess we have no alternative at this point. We could get married in the Phil, but then the process starts all over again and I really don't see the advantage of doing that. Very frustrating to say the least.
My heart breaks for you guys - that is beyond awful! I contacted my congresswoman on January 24 and got my approval on February 21 - no idea if it helped any but it seems a very arbitrary system! Stay strong!
-
Nobody's forcing you to stay.....
-
Congrats! but my partner and I are August filers and we are still waiting. Sounds odd that you got yours first.
Yep, I know. I have seen people with later dates than myself get approved - who knows why and how CSC does things....
-
You're being so negative. Lets get back to letting the good times roll like the wind blowing though your hair on a warm, sunny day driving down the highway in 1956 Ford Pickup with a rusty front hubcap. (Things look brighter now, don't they).....
p.s. damn this is good weed
hahaha - awesome!

I have been married three ( yes, 3, times), my fiancee is 16 years my junior and we got approved today - love knows no boundaries! Stay strong, you don't need an attorney!
-
My getting approved should instill hope, not bitterness. Stay strong fellow VJers, it will happen!
-
Congrats both of you..what date on September did you file guys? we're September filer also. We hope can receive our noa2 also :-)
September 1 NOA1
-
Thanks everyone, walking on air and having some champagne - happiest day of my life!
-
Hang in there guys - I got my approval today out of CSC and I am a September 1 NOA1.
-
I got home today and checked our status and there it was 'APPROVED' today. We are ecstatic. We know the same will come for those who are still waiting on this leg of the process. Thank you all and bless you all.
We got approved today too - congrats to us!
-
Doing the happy dance right now - NOA2 today! No RFE's OMG! So happy and so ready for the next step! I'm a September 1st filer out of CSC
-
Yes. Look at Igor's list and you'll see submissions with NOA1s as recent as August 31st 2012 receiving NOA2s now. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?cfl=
Thank you! I'm September 1 so this gives me some hope.....
-
With the way CSC is working right now , we will definitely be pass 9 months .. It will be 6 months of wait next month and some others waited almost 7 months -- am not seeing myself done by may as planned .. so hang in there and lets pray God to help us. It doesnt seem fair to us that VSC is approving all these people and CSC is completly dead. And for some reason people from VSC are still complaining that VSC is slow.... this so sad
Couldn't agree more, has there been ANY approvals out of CSC lately? VSC seems to be approving left and right but CSC, like you so accurately put it, is completely dead! 181 days for me today.....

Looking at stats for Vermont's progress, it seems November filers have been neglected. It seems as though December has more completed filers than the month of November. Does that make sense ? According to this http://tom.ae/igor_completeness.php November has 0% completeness while December is nearly at 10% (Vermont). As a November/Vermont filer, I'm a little less than encouraged :/
I'm September 1st filer so don't hold your breath.......

What exactly is the "Dream Act"???....March 14th will put me at 6 months also.
If you really don't know, I suggest you Google it...Keeping yourself informed is, in my opinion, the way to survive this agony
-
We all got caught in the Dream Act - I had my Congresswoman's attorney inquire on my behalf on January 24 and he was told "Your constituent will receive a response within 45 days" - that puts me at March 11 - 6.5 months after NOA1!
-
Hm, while I'm very happy for you, it feels like a gut punch to the vast majority of us who are still waiting - over 5 months for me now....Who arbitrarily decides who gets to skip ahead of all the rest of us? I just don't get it...Sorry, don't mean to rain on your parade.....
-
Uhhhh, it is 950 km or about a 9 hour drive for us from our city in Denmark to Stockholm and will cost a lot in fuel and bridge tolls about. We don't have a car, so we'd actually have to use the train, which is an at least 10 hour trip and not cheap.
The distance between Kingston and Santo Domingo is 722 km.
Yeah, I'm from Sweden so I am well aware of the tolls, distances. There are no direct flights from Jamaica to the Dominican Republic at all so he'd have to go via Miami and of course, driving is not even an option for him
Anyways, good luck to you on your journey!

USCIS does not issue VISAS. It does affect the direct consulate filing. If the only thing closing is the USCIS field office, it should not affect the issuance of K-1 visas.
Thank you for that reply! I certainly hope not....
still waiting for NOA2

On my NOA2 it states "Approval notice valid from 2/21/2013 to 6/20/2013" so yes, they do expire but obviously not until they have been issued.
