Hey guys I just want to ask something about getting an state ID or Driver's License. Here it goes, I sent my aos last may then first week of June I receive my priority date (NOA1), so it is now on process then mid august I got my EAD (working permit card), so I thought it is ok now and i thought it can be my ID while my green card is still on process. Its already 5 months since I haven't heard anything about my pending GC, last Sept. I think first week I receive a letter from uscis a notice of possible waiver for interview, It said there that I might not have an interview but If further information or if they needed me to have that interview they will notify me. And GC will be send to me 6 months after I received that letter so If I am not mistaken with the calculation for it, they will release my GC by March, Is this even possible? Next question is how can I not get an ID, last friday oct. 18 we went to DMV to get some ID, but when they swipe my EAD, its invalid, then they told me to call uscis if I want to but they will send them a letter about that incident. Another question, how come a friend of mine in california didn't undergo the same thing, we have the same gc status, she applied for driver's license using EAD as an ID, then they released her an ID, its just the validity is the same with her EAD, and told her to comeback when she got her GC, maybe for updating the validation.

everything will gonna void if you showed the immigration that she just used you to get here.. you better do something before she get to file the naturalization and you dont want that. right? you have to show a lot of things as a proof of relationship.. its not gonna work out if everything will happen

ok i get it.. so she can use the one that uscis gave to her which indicated her maiden.. her another question is it possible that when she applied for ss number she can use her husband's name? cause i think she chose to wait for the renewal of GC tfor it to change..but just in case the SSA wont allow her to use it because her GC is still on her name.. she is willing to change it right away...

The GC name is based on the visa name. Visa name is based on the passport name (usually). Therefore the error is hers, not USCIS's. In order to change the card she has 3 options.
1. File the I-90 and pay the $450 fee (they will not permit a free change because the error was hers);
2. If she has a conditional GC (expires in 2 years) then when she files ROC she can change it then; or
3. If/when she files for naturalisation she can change it then.
Basically she should have changed her passport before getting the visa and it all would have been fine.

hey guys a friend of mine is asking about what to do on her situation... what happened is when she received her green card the name that's in there is her maiden name.. which should be her marriage or husband name... she used spousal visa to enter usa.. it just happened that the passport she used is her old passport naming her maiden name... what is the best thing to do on this situation... so her green will change into her husband's name...

re: friend.
1. SSN is gettable during the first 90 days of being in the USA. After that 90 days? nope.
2. K-1 visa holders who want a greencard, can only apply for it AFTER marrying the human that filed the I-129F petition. There is no wiggle room on that.
Any chance of reconciliation with the petitioner?
i dont know.. but it seems not.. cause she is here. about for almost 3 years i guess.. so what is the best way she can do...

i got my second shot of varicella here at us.. we asked the civil surgeon to transcribed my ds 3025 into I-693.. then he told me that i still have varicella shot left so to let him do what we wish him to do so.. we paid him 109 for everything.. its different of what they said to me on the phone they said we only need to pay 25 dollars instead of to pay 215 for my whole exam.. i better suggest to do it here... it cost that much or much cheaper if u got a right and kind civil surgeon.. lol.. just make sure the civil surgeon u've got knows about the process...

Q: Why are K non-immigrant visa holders asked to include a vaccination supplement when filing Form I-485 to adjust status?
Some countries allow K non-immigrant visa applicants to defer their vaccinations until after they arrive in the U.S. If the beneficiary's vaccinations were not completed as part of the visa process, it is necessary to include form I-693- part 1, part 2-vaccination section, and part 5 in the application.
If the beneficiary's vaccinations were COMPLETED as part of the visa process, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE FORM I-693 IN THE AOS SUBMISSION. All your medical information is enclosed in the brown envelope which was handed in at the POE. The envelope is then forwarded on to USCIS where it will be consolidated with the I-485 submission, once received. If you received a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (Form DS-3025) from your Panel Physician, you may include a copy of that form in your AOS submission in place of Form I-693.
Q: Do I need to complete another full medical to adjust status?
Per Section 1245.5 in the Code of Federal Regulations, a medical examination shall not be required of an applicant for adjustment of status who entered the United States as a non-immigrant spouse, fiancée, or fiancée of a United States citizen or the child of such an alien as defined in section 101(a)(15)(K) of the Act and §214.2(k) of 8 CFR chapter I if the applicant was medically examined prior to, and as a condition of, the issuance of the non-immigrant visa; provided that the medical examination occurred not more than 1 year prior to the date of application for adjustment of status.
Q: I received an RFE for Form I-693 and my medical is less than one year old.
Sometimes the medical gets "lost" during the transfer. It is entirely possible that you may receive an RFE for the vaccination supplement (Form I-693), and possibly even for the full medical (Form I-693), even if the medical is current. Here is a helpful postfrom someone who was able to relocate a lost medical.
To find a Civil Surgeon in your area you can link here to use the USCIS Civil Surgeons Locator.
To have your vaccination information transcribed to Form I-693, the following Civil Surgeon will do it by phone and fax for a nominal fee ($10 at time of writing):
Dr. L. E. Arnold
4534 Westgate Boulevard, Suite 106
Austin, TX 78745
Tel: (512) 444-3131
Fax: (512) 447-4699
Something to note if you are yet to have your medical: If you have not yet had your medical prior to visa issuance, make sure to ask the Panel Physician if they will supply you with a copy of your full medical prior to scheduling. If they will not provide one for you, call another Panel Physician. If you cannot find a Panel Physician who will provide you with a copy of your medical, or if you have already had your medical and were not supplied with a copy, try asking the officer for one at the POE.

oh. alright, well my state is delaware, my husband told me that this is the first state so they are very strict with regards to that, anyway I already have an appointment at uscis regarding this situation because I am applying for a job, and this hospital I am applying to they are looking for state ID or DL, which I cant present any of them cause I dont have it. My thing is what am I goin to do with that. Had EAD, had ss number, had license to practice a job but can't have the job cause dont have state ID/ DL, how about that? It feels like though I did everything for the career but I can't used it cause i have to wait for my GC. It makes no sense for me, so EAD is nothing?
