Finally got an interview date. Does Federal Plaza do same day oath?

I submitted N400 application on 11/27 (based on 5 years less 90 days) in Houston, Texas.
On 2/27 I had my interview and I was approved for citizenship. Currently just waiting for the oath ceremony to be scheduled.
I will say that the interview process was very organized and my officer super nice and made the whole process seem like a formality and a quick chat. I've had an I90 case open for 2 years and 2 months now, and the N400 got completed in 3 months.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!
Did you file online or mail?

As far as CBP is concerned, he is an LPR. CBP has no legal reason to not admit him.
Don’t you lose LPR after being out of the country for longer than 6 months?

Yes, online. Is that faster or slower?
From what I read, it didn’t matter either way. But my mom filed online also and is still waiting for an interview date. So that might be a factor.

Silence since 11/21/22.

My mom filed N400 back in November. Status says Actively being reviewed.

Thank you for your advice.

No, then the person cannot stay in the US and adjust at the moment. USC parent can still file the petition but it will take 15+ years before the someone can get a visa.
Check visa bulletin for category F3:
How long has the person overstayed their visitors visa?
Less than 3 months. So even if they return to their home country, it’s a 15+ year wait?

How old is the someone?
Over 21 and Married.

If someone overstayed their visitors visa, can a US Citizen parent petition them and can they Adjust while in the US?

Birth certificates of her children should not be asked for.
The N-400 instructions are badly written but a close examination will suggests I am correct.
Thank you.

And
1. all her children are aged 18 or over?
2. she was never subject of a chisel support agreement or court order requiring her to pay child support?
Exactly.

They will ask for the names,
address, birth dates of her children. If she is applying for citizen on the basis of being married for 3 years to a U.S. citizen, they will ask for birth certificates of children produced by the that marital union.
If your 65 year old mother produced children in the past 3 years, then she has an impressive womb.
Lol. She’s applying based on the 5 year rule. She obtained her GC via my sponsorship. Thank you for the laugh and the info.

Why do you think you need your oldest sister’s birth certificate?
Wouldn’t they ask for that Info? I thought it was a question on the N400.

No. Honestly I was a child when my mom applied for her B1/B2 in 1998.

when she applied for her US visa , what info did she put?
I really don’t know the answer to that question. It was so long ago.

my wife’s experience
She does not know the birth month and day of her parents in the Gregorian calendar that the USA uses.
Since her parents were never U.S. citizens, the online form ultimately produced an n-400 PDF that completely skipped over her parents.
Thank you. Will try that and see how it goes. We also don’t have a birth certificate for my oldest sister. The numb skull lost it.

Were her parents born in the U.S.?
Were her parents U.S. citizens?
No and No.

Good Morning all. My mom is getting ready to file N400, she’s 65 years old and don’t have a lot of familial information. She knows her parents name but can’t remember much else about their bio. Do you think we could be RFE’d if we leave some of that info out. Is it better to file online or by mail?

Well maybe he will get oath first but I’m not hopeful.
No. He’s not filing. He’s a citizen. Only my mom will be filing.
-
He’s employed but getting ready to retire. They are in their 60’s

Hi guys, so my mom is getting ready to file her N400, but doesn’t work. She files taxes with her husband jointly. But she does not work. How does this affect her ability to become a citizen. She didn’t get her GC through marriage.
