  1. Me too! There has actually been 8 now in September. The last two being the 25th from 04/03 and today, the 26th from 04/02. It's good to see this and see USCIS getting through the late March filers as well.

Omg yes!!! I'm so excited!!! i'm 04/05 that's my noa1 date but uscis recieved my app on 04/03 so i'm hoping i hear something by friday!!! crossing my fingers!! gah i just want my fiance home!!

  2. I put in a service request Sept 11th and they told me I should hear back by sept 26th today via postal mail or email. So of course I did not hear anything and I called customer service and they said they sent me an email today. I called this morning and 8am sharp. I checked my email the last 3 hours and no email. So I call back and they read the email and it said I should get a notice of action withing 30 days and they do not know why i did not get the email and they do not have access to send to me. Does that sound right to any of you or has anyone had a similar situation?????

I placed a service request on Sept 6, and heard back by a letter on September 17 dated september 13, that i was within normal processing time.

  3. We submitted 2 passport style photos each for the beneficiary and petitioner. We still got an RFE on one photo for the petitioner (they requested we send one more in)

    Ugh this makes me nervous.....

I submitted only one of my fiance and and one for myself....

and after i submitted i read that we were to put our names in the back of it which i totally forgot to do :bonk:

Still haven't recieved my NOA2 and now i might receive an RFE for that one...

  4. no NOA2 yet for us :(

it will be 6 months soon.. makes me really worried..

Don't be worried, all it means is it's taking longer for approvals to come along.... Soon we will be the ones getting our NOA2..... I'm thinking another 2-4 weeks before We start seeing approvals..... Bleh but to me it seems like my fiance won't be here til the new year..... mad.gif oh blah, at this point i'm thinking of telling my fiance that we should just apply for my son and I to move to Australia... yes.gif

  5. Hi ! my noa1 is april 12th, almost like yours. My fiancé called them 2 month ago and they told him we should hear something by September 10th (yep, yesterday) but of course nothing. I don't know if he put in a request though but don't think so, I have to ask my fiancé if he got a confirmation number...

I was also wondering what does "expedite" means in the visa process ? I heard it a lot but I am confused.

Thank you and good luck !!

I dont think they allow a service request to go in before the 5 months and 2 months ago you were at 3 months. As it is a lot of people get denied putting in that request sad but true. I would try calling them 2morro and push for a service request.

As far as a "Expedite" I believe those are for very few cases depending on your circumstance. I'd do a search on it to get a better view on that.

Good Luck on your Process!! I know we all want that NOA2 to get things moving a long. They told me i should hear something by September 21. I sure hope it's a decision if not well i'm telling myself at least i tried.

  6. I called and 2/6/12 is their date and within processing times. Both people on phone wouldn't create Service Order and I spoke to a supervisor who didn't give me a job title (lol, "supervisor"). Didn't even tell me to call back, said the information was incorrect online and to just wait.

Thinking I'm just going to make it a daily routine for lunch.

Wow even went to tell you that the info online was incorrect.... That's just nuts :bonk:

Yea, when I had called and before the rep transferred me to the Supervisor... She kept telling me he's only going to tell you the same thing I did. When I got to the supervisor I actually only spoke to him for about a min or two... i explained to him that i spoke to a prev rep before i had 5 months and he said i'd be able to get one and after that he said let me go ahead and transfer you to an escalated line... and there the lady again said she would only be able to place it if the system allowed her too and told me to wait... and walah! I had a service request in.

These people are tricky and will try to tell you anything to get you off the phone. Even after she said she submitted my request she went to tell me that I was still within normal processing time.

  7. I hit my 5 month mark on September 3, I called on the 6th and requested a service request and of course they said they were processing Feb 6. And that I was within processing time and can put one in til they are after my date which would probably be a month and a half later. So I escalated the call twice and now I have a service request in. They said I should hear something by the 21st. I only hope that means a decision.

  8. Thank you! I called USCIS just awhile ago and i did get my confirmation number. The lady told me I should hear something by September 21st, I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one.... I just also noticed you can put in a request on the USCIS website under e-request..... I wonder if that's the same thing? Well like i said, even if nothing gets done... at least i know i tried right?

  9. You know, I really hope it's not like that... but i'm just confused as did she actually put in the request? She didn't offer to give a confirmation number and would they have record of putting in a service request? Gah!! Just so frustrated as i know many of us are. I figured i'd try to do something even if the service request really doesn't do anything at least it was worth a shot ya know what i mean

  10. Well I called them, and of course they said they are working on February 6, and the girl said the same thing they've told everyone.... but i was persistant and asked to speak to a manager.... then escalated the call from the manager higher up.... and they told me the same thing but with that lady she said she would try to put in my request. Once she got back she said she put my request in..... now since i was in a hurry to go back to work from my lunch break stupid me forgot to ask if i was going to get a confirmation number.... so now that's why i'm asking.....

  11. I hit the 5 month Mark on Monday the 3rd of Septemer, Gosh this waiting is insane. For awhile i was jealous of all the CSC April Filers as the majority have already received their NOA2 . I will be putting in a Service request on Monday if they allow me.... someone had commented on one of my posts about filing a service request and they basically said they wouldn't even put it thru til we hit 6 months mad.gif.

Well i guess all we can do is wait. I wanted my loved one home by our Anniversary which is Oct 3, but that is now impossible at the rate they are going crying.gif. We will be lucky if he's home by Christmas Holidays which i'm praying that at least he is <3 We will keep on praying on hoping things start to pick up!

Wishing all of us A much speedier process than what it already has been.

  12. I wish I had more sympathy... However, I do have some information that may be somewhat useful. VSC won't let you put in a service request until you are at least at the 6 month mark and even then they will keep pushing it back. When you call you need to ask them what date they are working on, and if you are over six months AND the date they are working on has surpassed your date THEN you can put in a service request. For me, they didn't hit that point till about 6 and a half months after I filed. Still, I am feeling pretty certain a service request does pretty much squat. I have been working with my congressman who today has sent out the second inquiry on my behalf and the first one was about a month ago. The only thing you can really do is wait. They pretty much tell you whatever to get you off the phone. The whole system is super flawed :/

Awww that's a total bummer :( it looks like a few March filers have gone in now.... Hopefully that's a good sign.blink.gif

  13. Ok, so i'm to have 5 months on September 3rd, which is literally right about the corner. I called the USCIS center to see if i could get more info and he said once I reach the 5 months next week I can put in a service request. Ok, so i'm curious what does a service request really do? Does it in anyway help expidite your case? Can some vj'ers let me know their experiences with the service requests?
