As far as the quick marraige many states have different rules and waiting periods before marriage, Delaware just happens to be 24 hours. We have to rush to her on my health care plan ASAP. I would much rather wait and do a traditional wedding but we can not. Once she gets her green card we will go back to Capiz and have a big wedding for her family and friends

Yes I agree that the information about sending the email to USEM is the best information, in my case it took 5 days to get a response. I just wanted to bring light to that other email address as many people rely on that when you are doing a quick turnaround aka there are medical reasons why we are in a hurry.

We will be using her postal ID card as 2nd identification.

I flew to Manila this morning to get my fiancé, have learned a lesson already, never book a one way ticket to Manila, they will not let you enter the country without a outbound ticket, I ended up having to buy a ticket to hong kong in order to board my flight.
As many wonder the tracking of visas, here is what I learned after talking to an American at the USEM. I had to go this morning for a reason outside my fiancé so I was able to talk to someone who gave me the lowdown. I told him that they should post these details on the website as it would save them many calls, he laughed and said, they will still call regardless as people are impatient and reminded me that Imigration is privilege not a righ and people need to patient. Regardless if we love someone these guys are protecting the interest of the USA. He stated that the fraud rate is so high they have to be careful.
When you track your passport via passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com, it shows many things, and confuses people. Understand this, every time the passport moves at emabssy it gives a status, one of them is origination scan, you will also get no update available, this all means it is going from one unit to another, and when no update is given it means it bent processed or being reviewed, Also when you see picked it up it means it was picked up by the next internal embassy unit. Still with post means it is ready and about to leave, and transit from post means it has been given to 2go.
The 2go shows status once they get the package. It is best to wait 1 day once you get the status and if you are picking up, go to the office as in our case they did not call or text. We were all over it due to timing
The infomus do not open had the corner of the envelope cut, the reason they are doing this now is stop people from being curious and trying to open the envelope.
I'm thankful for the info the American at the emabssy gave me.
.
I have also found that if your fiancé has attend CFO prior to her visa, If you are in town, go with her for the stamp. We were in and out in 20 minutes. We over heard the guy tell the girl. The cano is waiting with his fiancé, make this priority as we do no want to look bad to the Amercian... Interesting
We are booked on flight for Sunday back to the USA and will be getting married Tuesday.
Thank you all of the help that you have given. This board helps a lot and can save many headaches.

As someone said, Tampo!!, I made sure I bought a new bed and cleared anything related to the ex out of the house. I learned quickly after watching her sisters reaction to my future brother in laws alimony payments....

As many others have said Detroit is your first POE, when you stop in Japan, I assume you are going through Nagoya you will only get off the plane, and go through a security checkpoint then to your gate, you will have time for a quick bite to eat and shopping then off to Detroit. Detroit is pretty easy to get through, is your fiancé going to be with you? You will clear immigration then they will take your bags and put them on the flight to JFK. Good luck

It is acceptable to black out account numbers, you are a fool if you do not. I do not think they give you the documents back, which means at somepoint, they will end up being disposed of, which means if not done properly you could be at risk of having fraud take place. Yes this happens more than someone would think.

Hello fellow VJ's, finally worries and anxiety have gone today, after 8 working days my visa is with me already. This family forum is really of great help to each and every one of us.Good luck and God Bless to those who are still on their way for sure God is always working within us.
I have a question about yellow envelope that is for immigration at POE to open, is it a bit open on the upper right corner? i mean there is a triangular shaped that is open? is this true to all? thanks a lot everyone..
Congrats and good luck on your trip. Can you tell me where you had your visa sent? was sent to Metro Manila or elsewhere? I am trying to gage when I jump on a plane to get my fiance, she was approved today

You should be fine, We were approved by USCIS on the 9th, and the 20th by The Visa Center. I called a week ago in a panic, they had got the file on the 28th.

We arrived at the embassy around 6:30AM. Many people were there that day. The guards did a nice job of rounding people up for the appropriate lines and visas. Our interview appointment was 7:30 so we were a second batch of people to be processed through the lines. We got inside rather quickly. It was maybe 7AM, and we were already inside. The first thing before going inside was to present passport, appointment confirmation, and DS forms (as I write this, the embassy updated to include DS-230 last month, but we never needed it. Strange). We were given our number. The passport was given a bar code sticker and placed in plastic bag. Once inside, we did wait for over 2 hours before our number was called. Since much of the communication was in tagalog, I didn't realize much of what was being told to Jessa. I have read many times to go to window 39 first in the reviews. However, we were never told that. We were just told to wait for the number to flash. Anyway, a greeter kindly explained the mishap to us, wrote our number down, and we went through all the rest with ease. In our case, the first window we approached was the Filipino pre-screener. She asked several basic questions about us: When did you meet? How did you meet? How many times did I visit? When did I arrive for the last visit? The greeter had collected our DS forms since we never went to window 39 for the drop off so the pre-screener had these in hand. She did ask for my I-134 with my most current W2s and 1040. That was it. She asked if we had photos and told us to be prepared to show those along with any other relationship evidence to the CO. We sat back down. Maybe 10-15 minutes later, we were called for finger print scanning. Then, we sat back down for about another 15 minutes. We went to window 59 to be greeted by the CO. She gave us the oath and started asking questions. She asked what year did we meet. She asked me what I did for a living and how many times had I visited PH. That was about it! She handed a flyer over for domestic violence awareness and told us we are approved! The CO and the pre-screener never asked for any evidence. I did front load the petition a little. However, I expected to show at least some photos. Overall, it went well, and we can't complain. We will be together for good very soon. Thank GOD for all success.
Congrats, you were in same group as my fiance, she was hard to miss she was the very pregant one... I just did a check on her passport status and it is already at the Picked Up stage what ever that means

You can not rely on any of that information is each case if unique and different, there are many things going during the process and no one will ever figure it out, please be patient your day will come soon,. I was in your shoes a month ago and realized I was making myself crazy and everyone around me, patience is key

There is many conflicting information on weather this form is truly requried or not, Several people who interviewed recently said it was not needed once they got to the interview. My fiance's interveiw is in the morning, we completed it, I will let you know if they need it. I asked her to ask why they do not want if they dont ask for it.

No issues here sending electronics. Just make sure you research the shipper, they have had an increase of companies that have had issues getting freight released at customs. Most of the time they dont pay the GOVT taxes, and they will not release the container until it is paid. There was an article a month or so ago on the GMA News website.

they are at the mercy of NBI. Any attempts to get help from someone there could be considered and viewed as bribe in the eyes of the US Govt. It is best to wait for them to respond, or risk denial

I am also very confused
Legitimation/Legal Relationship - The child/applicant must meet the legal requirements pertaining to legitimation. A child born to a female U.S. citizen (and a non-U.S. citizen father) is automatically legitimated. Proof of legitimation is, however, required for a child born to a male U.S. citizen. Persons born to an in-wedlock U.S. citizen father and non-U.S. citizen mother are legitimated by virtue of the marriage. Persons born to an out-of-wedlock U.S. citizen father and non-U.S. citizen mother, and not legitimated by the natural parents' subsequent marriage can be legitimated under the Immigration and Nationality Act by one of two methods. See the Legitimation Requirements for further details.
Since your married already they child qualifies by default. Again I would advise you to call. Was your wife married before? They could be questioning that

I sent her to the embassy with every single documentation and evidence imagineable, my research told me that they only request dna in extream cases
they only request dna in cases were there is not enough documentation
we have everythign, we have lots of evidence, i dont understand why they are asking for dna! Our kid looks exactly like me, shes sooo white, we were married when she got pregnant. Those facts along with the all the documentation i sent, i dont understand
I would advise you to call the consular directly and find out why, they are closed Friday due to a holiday so try monday.

Aslo you do not need to wait 3 months. Look at #16, it guides you how to make it happen faster
https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/FAQs.aspx
I would advise you to get a Philippine passport now for the child while you are waiting, it will save you fees when you depart Manila, as if your child leaves on an american passport he will be fined for overstaying the 21 day visitior rule, I hope this helps you

Not sure who told her about the DNA testing, this came from the embassy website.
Evidence of the couple's relationship prior to the conception of the applicant. The burden of proving a claim to U.S. citizenship, including blood relationship, is on the person making such claim. Photos prior to the time of conception, letters, and other correspondence may help establish the couple's relationship prior to the conception of the applicant. When no substantive form of credible evidence is available in conjunction with a CRBA or Passport application, a parent may find genetic testing to be a useful tool for confirming a stated biological relationship. Note: Do not initiate a DNA test unless it was recommended by the Embassy for your pending CRBA or Passport application. A DNA Test that was done independently and not according to Department of State procedures will not be accepted to support a CRBA or Passport application. For more information, read the DNA Testing Procedures. Click here for English version. Click here for Filipino version.
I was told the exact same thing by the consular when I called a few weeks in regards to the posibility of child being born prior her visa getting approved.

Oh well, i hope that I would be able to have my interview on December. Some of my friends was able to schedule their interview 4 hours after they paid their visa..
It took 24 hours for my fiances to work after paying for it at BPI. Try again in the morning. Also make sure you enter the number correctly in the system.
