I saw her timeline, but unsure about any details of their case. They might have had some extreme circumstance to expedite it (maybe a family member is ill for example? -who knows?). Oh well, at least February is a short month!

I see that someone waiting for Mumbai from Nov got their interview date. It would seem they are backed up.

Yes we are waiting for interview at Mumbai. I am not too sure whether it is closed due to pongal . But today interview of another member was scheduled at mumbai consulate ,so i guess it must be open.

Yes, after I posted earlier, I was able to pull up the holidays on Mumbai's consulate website. It is in fact OPEN. I just don't understand why it's Tuesday already and so many of us are still waiting on this list- from alot of different embassies. I just noticed from this list only, that the India embassy VJ members aren't scheduled yet. Well keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers still, because this wait is actually worse than USCIS. At least with USCIS , you actually expect it to be slow and you expect a substantial waiting period- but not now!!

There is a list of appointments for interviews that Mumbai consulate publishes to their website and usually it's 15th-18th of each month. The list for Feb is due to be published end of this week most likely.

Even though my husband is from Iraq , he has refugee status from the U.N. and is waiting for his interview in Mumbai. Are you waiting for Mumbai also? He says that Pongol is being celebrated now , as it was when I was there with him last. Is it possible the embassy is closed for Pongol?? Just wondering. I've tried to look and find out on the Mumbai consulate's website.

The other night I had a dream that I was lying in bed with my gross ex bf and his family and was thinking in my dream 'ew i cannot believe i'm back with him' then awoke at the same moment that had a HUGE feeling of relief.

Nothing yet. I am guessing they may be behind on scheduling interviews with the holidays. But don't quote me on that. It is driving me crazy with all this waiting and not knowing now.

This almost borders on exciting but falls short at the end. You'll see what I mean...

I went outside to coax my kitty in, who happens to be in heat at the moment and who also happens to run out unexpectedly. When I heard her meow, it was coming from above- wayyy above. She was on the roof of the house at 11pm. After scaling the rails of the porch and making it halfway to the roof, I decided a visit to the ER was not going to work for me and kitty cat was not being cooperative- in fact she was running about and flipping back and forth on her back enjoying the whole ordeal. After about 15min of this nonsense, I came to the conclusion ...F it .....we're having kittens.

Are all ya'll like on hold at NVC.? Somebody anybody report report. The Dominican Republic will be very crazy busy with all of you here. Okay all the best. I'll be watching and praying for you all.

There is absolutely NO HOLD at the NVC right now. Just got off the phone with them, and they told me that my hubby's not scheduled yet. Oh well.... it's the capacity of the embassy itselt that determines when you'll get scheduled- and that's ALL they would tell me.

The do as we say, most certainly not as we do party struck again, and this level hypocrisy might just shift the tectonic plates and reveal a whole new world for the rational among us (or whatever is left).

But as I said before our cases DO NOT go to the embassy until interview is assigned than usually within a few days to a few weeks the case is sent off. They people there's nothing to track if you haven't been assigned okay.

Watch Monday the flood gates will be open. It's the second full week of the month and well they have their holiday hang over done with.

Everybody stay cool Normally if I get ANY emails from NVC, it's always after 4:30p and sometimes even up until 7pm.

I saw another post mention that nobody knows anything about interviews the entire week and then BAM! -mass emails to all those scheduled go out. I'm just guessing here, but I'm thinking that after the lists are ready for the week, some chaps in the emailing dept gets a list of all these folks and they start hammering out emails. That's the scenario that seems logical to me anyways.

I'm also thinking this business with the new waiver (I-1601a) and also the holidays are backing them up some. But perhaps I'm thinking to much-
