Opening remarks at my husband's ceremony: This is something similar to what to expect at an oath ceremony.

We finally came to the end of our journey.

My husband had his ceremony at Turner Field in Atlanta,GA (home of the Braves!!!) The event was hosted by the Braves (the Vice Chair of the Board for the team gave an address to the crowd)

There were 3 things of significance that day:

It was the largest ceremony ever held in the Southeast region before. 755 new citizens were there to say their oaths- 755 was also the number of home runs hit by our beloved Hank Aaron from the Atlanta Braves in his career.

Also, the date of the ceremony was significant because it was Constitution Day.

As a gift from the Braves team, all candidates received 4 complimentary tickets to the game that same night as well as team baseball caps.

After the ceremony , everyone was able to register to vote.

Would someone please update the board with my husband's ceremony date? ( I seem to muss it up when I try )

As of TOMORROW 9/16/16, my hub will be a U.S. Citizen! (he's calling it his graduation lol).

It's so exciting seeing everyone's names turning red! We are currently waiting for the ceremony letter to arrive so we'll know when the final step will be for us. Can't wait !!!

Hello everyone, I had my bio in May.2016. My on lines status says "On August 19, 2016, we scheduled you for a biometrics appointment and mailed you an appointment notice for Receipt Number IOExxxxxxxx. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your appointment notice by September 18, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I called them they said I had to wait until I receive letter. Has any seen somethings like this on their online status.

Why would they schedule SECOND BIO METRICS?

Would appreciate any and all help greatly thanks.

That's sounds a bit odd to me. I would call and ask to speak to a Tier 2 agent at the customer service center or else request an appt at your local field office.

Hello VJ members. my mom applied for her citizenship in april this year she hav"nt heart anything after her biometrics. i saw lot of other vj member with same month already have there interview . we call uscis for any apdate on her case but they always told as to wait for another month. we dont know why it is taking that long? is sombody also waiting for there interview form atlanta services center who applied in april ?"

What type of receipt number did you have for your application? Were the first letters NBC or IOE? There seems to be some delay for the IOE folks at the moment although now there seems to be some movement.

Atlanta field office is a little swamped at the moment it seems. We went there on Aug 11 for his interview and we waited 1 hr and 1/2 after his appt time for the interview. I don't recommend going any earlier than 30min unless you just want to wait longer.

Just hang in there....things are moving.

Saturday we are off to Hawaii for our first anniversary and Daisy's Naturalization interview. Daisy's interview is monday and she is so nervous even though she is scoring over 90% consistently on the practice tests. I guess it's expected since this is her last big thing to do with Immigration. I'm praying that the interview is short and easy for her, but I am confident in her ability to get through it. We are taking my parents to Hawaii with us for their 50th wedding anniversary also. Next week is going to be a great week for the Ricciotti clan. I'll update you all when she is done.

FP 5/25 still waiting for interview letter...

So, according to the online system, on July 7 Daisy was scheduled for an interview. I received her email today does this mean actually scheduled or just "inline"? One part says scheduled one says inline.:

On July 7, 2016, we scheduled an interview for your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number NBC*000000000. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

That means that you are actually scheduled and they are mailing you the letter with the date of the interview with directions and instructions. You should get the letter in about 1-2 weeks usually. Good luck to you !

We received the letter today for the interview. It's Aug 11.

Well, I guess we hunker down and wait.

We got a text saying that my husband is scheduled for an interview, so we are now waiting on the letter that states the actual date. He goes out to the mailbox more than once a day, and I try to tell him it's like trying to boil water and he's watching the pot. lol

Maybe I'm completely wrong here, but since we all applied around the same time frame (within 30 days of each other), shouldn't we all be having our interviews and oaths roughly around the same time? (given no further complications)

I married my husband and after our honeymoon, I came back to the U.S. and didn't see him for another year and a half. The CR-1 process was nothing short of excrutiating, but we are blessed now to be together and have all that behind us. Compared to that, this is cake!

I agree with you TonyandDaisy Life is good!!

Generally MAYBE 2 months or so according to what I've researched and based on other's timelines.

I didn't change my last name when my husband and I got married either-although I plan to in the future. I didn't find it to be a problem when I filed the petition for him. I decided to stick with simplicity. I would avoid confusion by making changes in my documents. I don't think the people working in the embassy will find it strange and I have a feeling they see if often. What they are looking for is the evidence itself and the quality of it.

Can someone please update the list with ours approval date? We got the approval via text 2/12/16 that the card is in production. Woohoo!

Nitehero, We haven't been approved just yet either. But we are gonna have the champagne chilling in preparation and we will share with the group !!!

The hub and I called this afternoon and the agent there said the date they are working on is 3/31 .....soo.. I'm feeling that our day is coming soon. I'm remaining positive at this point.

Congrats to everyone in VSC approvals!!!

I'm getting excited now and we've got the champagne ready over here!
