  1. My fiancee has an interview on Dec 12, and I wanted to know if She had to bring all the papers (DS 156, DS 230, I 134, Birth Cert. etc) to the bank to make the two payments or just take the interview letter?

  2.  :dance:NOA 2 text in 187 days !!!!!. Don't know what to do or how to act, still don't believe it, and provably won't until I have the hard copy on hand.

Thank god for this site and the wonderful members that are willing to share their trials and tribulations; without it I would have gone completely insane.

To all of you waiting for Vermont approvals: Hang in there and don't dispair, it seems like things are getting better and they're picking up the pace.

    Good luck to all

  3. I feel the same I called the number given by Mr Tee and apparently two weeks from interview is on the 18th, the lady at the emabassy said the latest I can get the meds is on the 24 I explained to them that its cutting it to close and continue to insist on requesting a duplicate of the packet she insisted in telling me that the system won't let her request a duplicate unless is exactly two wks from interview which includes the weekend.

Glad to know you're on top of things  . I hate the fact tha twe're at their mercy; What they want, how they want it and when they want it.

Be asprepared as possible and do as they say, nothing else you can do.

Again, best of luck and god be with you.

  4. I have no personal experince in the matter, but I believe that you're cutting very close.

MrTee12 posted a guide that I believe can help you.

I think this info is good (just a feeling), starting with going to the embassy to get a copy of your packet and schedule for the medical ASAP. It seems you don't have much time left.

Best of luck to you. I hope everything goes well and you get to travel back with your love.

  5. Hello:

It's my understanding, that you're looking for advice or reasons to believe him or not.

It is possible that he hand delivered the packet to a loction where he was told they would take care of it. Maybe they took such packet and forgot to forward it or worse yet, kept it on the corner just because (There are evil people in this world that would do that and more).

Point is: There are endless possibilities as to what could have happened to the packet if he hand delivered it to a loction, and then again, maybe he mailed the packet in August and is just lying to you. Relationships are built on trust., If you can not trust that the course of events is as he has told you then it's my opinion (everyone knows what it's said about opinions) that you will not have a healthy and lasting relationship with that person.

I'll conclude with what you already know: No matter what anyone tells you, the final decision as to what you should do is yours and yours alone.

    Good luck on your journey

  6. Hello there:

I do not pretend to know you or your situation, but it seems like you got financially used and emotionally abused. I also know that it is easier said than done, but don't waste anything else on someone that clearly is not woth it. What goes around, comes around, karma can not be escaped.

It might not be worth much, but be thankful that it happened now and not after all the trouble, the waiting, the frustration, the expence, etc. of going through the process.

Sorry you are hurting, my heart goes out to you.

PS. We men or Dominicans are not all the same. Men like him give the rest of us a bad rep. Hope you find someone that will cherish you for the person you are.

  7. There are some things you need to understand about the "touch":

To see if a touch was logged on your file, go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp click on check case status and input your receipt #.

According to some members, some files never show any touches or even updates. Some members have reported that their lovedones already have visas and their case status still says initial review.

And like everyone will tell you, waiting for a touch is just something else to drive you more insane.

Hope the info helps........ Good luck on your journey............ God bless

  8. this is a repeat, but you dont need a lawyer. lol it is easy enough now that you did the hardest work and found visa journey! if you need answers or help just ask someone will have it.

    :thumbs::star:

I did notfind this site before I made the mistake of (throwing away baddly needed monet) paying a lawyer. You've found a great commutinity with a wonderful bunch of members that for the most part are very knowledgeable and eager to help.

Just remember to pay it forward! Best of luck in your journey.

  9. When you introduce your wife instead of saying this is my wife and she is Vietnamese you can perhaps say this is my wife and her name is _______. By introducing her initially as her nationality they are forming opinions. She is a person with her own unique qualities who just happens to be Vietnamese. Just my two cents :)

 That's the wy it should be. Too much stock placed on what we are instead of who we are.
