We sent the Ds3032 with my children s email addresses and they were accepted.

I signed the DS230 on their behalf though, and these were also accepted.

You sent an different AOS for each step child?

Why not put them on PART 3.2 in the AOS form, where you also sponsor family members that are travelling with the main applicant, it sounds like if both are traveling together (or up to 6 months after) they can be on the same AOS, no?

Hello everyone!! Just wondering if I should go to the interview with my husband? I heard that its better to go because I am like a back up to the marriage but I also heard that I should not go because it would complicate things and the interview!! Please I would love your feedback on this subject!!

I didn't go with my wife to her interview and there was no issue or complication whatso ever.

I saw that message even without inputting any case number. I wouldn't worry, they seem to be warning people that recently submitted to not expect to be able to check the status of their petitions right away.

Looks like she wont haev to miss her flight tomorrow. All the educated guesses paid off, but I would def recommend not buying the plane ticket in advance.

I am getting really confused about the NVC....I got the NOA2 in mail on 1st Feb 2013, and i have since been confused on what to do..I keep getting a response like to call them or wait for the NVC to contact me on case number....its confusing me now...

what exactly is NVC sending me, is it just the case number or AOS and DS-3032...

Again on the DS-3032 form i saw online....

i need to understand a few things on how to fill out DS-3032.

1.- Place Case barcode Strip . Do they mail this barcode with the form?

2.- Can I download a copy of this form? or does it have to be the one NVC sends out? I also read it has a case number barcoded on the top.

Can someone please tell me exactly what i need to do...should i wait or just call...

Also, when you call and get your case number (which you need to ask for when they say anything else?) also make sure to ask for your Invoice Identification Number.

With those two items you will be able to pay the AOS bill and print the bar code. Once they accept the DS-3032 (which I hope you will be emailing using the template on the wiki) in this same portal you will be able to pay the IV bill and print the barcode.

Each barcode page needs to be the first page of its package.

I also when I opened the account I used the AL # in red, but in the embassy the IO highlighted the RN number on the bio-page of the passport. Im wondering which they use.

Hopefully if I use "AL 999876" and they enter it as only "999876" I wont missout on anything. Or if I register the account with "AL 999876" and they intpur it with the "RN 98365893" I wont miss it either.

I got my fingers crossed that we get the "email" the embassy is supposed to send with the waybill number and that we get it in the next hour or early Monday.

We were approved on 1/30 the email and CSC Visa site was updated with the waybill number in the evening ~6PM.

Also, used the number on the first page of the passport, the one in red (AL#).

When you say DHL that means the DHL website doesn't update right? I called them and they cant do anything without a waybill number, I still havent received the email with the tracking info, I read somewhere that it usually comes at around 3:30 PM, so I am hoping I get it today.

Haven't received the email yet, but I checked my account in CSC Visa Info Service page and the waybill is there ( ) and shows in transit. Wife's going tomorrow morning.

Edit - Got the email like 30 minutes later.

Am going over to the US tomorrow to see my wife for a week, have got a copy of my apartments lease which runs to Dec 2013, a copy of our I-130 application and a letter from work saying i'm on paid vacation till the date i return.

I was tempted to take a suitcase full of clothes to leave out there but chickened out.

Yea good idea to not bring too much stuff, you dont want to bring anything that could hint at you staying illegaly.

I have read some posts on here relating to US Citizen marrying a person who is on a tourist visa here...so how does that work, what is the process, are they allowed to stay here if they do get married legitimately? Immigration paperwork has to be filled out I'm sure, and in meantime, does the visitor have to go back to their country or can they stay?

Based on what I've seen a lot of times DHL does not update their system and the only info you will get will be over the phone. Just keep in mind that a visa being delivered outside of Bogotá will take approximately 6-10 business days and 2-3 business days if being delivered in Bogotá.

6-10 business days sounds like what we experienced. Week and a half to Barranquilla. Then, the visa SAT on their shelf a few extra days (plus a weekend) before they got a call asking WHERE IS THE VISA?? Their response - We don't deliver to your barrio. You have to pick it up.

I see, my problem is that they havent even sent the email with the Waybill or tracking number so we can call DHL.

Hi folks it has been 3 weeks in NVC, but i haven't received anything from NVC. Is it a normal time to wait? I called few days ago n they said they did receive my I130 approval from uscis, but they refused to add my e mail add because it hasn't in system yet and I called again yesterday they asked me few questions about me n my wife and add my email add that is mean I can expect receive mail from NVC soon. Please share ur experiences.....

You should have asked for your case number and invoice identification number yesterday that you called.

Its crazy to see they are still barely getting to early to mid June filers. I wonder if anyone has actually re-filed the application at the NBC.

I remember starting this thread because of how fortunate I felt when my petition was approved and just wondering what I would do had I been on the later July or early Aug.

Figured someone would try to re-petition and we would all check/follow the outcome.

Hey ppl, my question to all and any who remember is, how did you guys get your waybill number for DHL once your visa was approved? Do you recall how long it took after the interview?

I have created several accounts in the CSC Visa Info page, using different numbers on my wifes passport, but I check all of them even now 2 bus. days later and still see no update. We called the info number for the embassy and the guy told us it was printed and in the process of being shipped but had ni waybill info for us.

Anyone who remembers their experience could help give me an idea of what to expect. Thanks.

Tienes q averiguar un poco mejor lo de la ciudadania para el bebe, creo q aun es elegible.

My wife had her appt. yesterday with Dr. Dennis, he was very professional and thorough. My wife didn't have her vaccination record, he asked her to get 2 shots, TD and Triple V. Both applied on the shoulder (130,000COP).

We stayed at hotel casa fortel. For 2 nights it was 216,364 and it is only a block away from the embassy.

Just checked, they have their rate posted @ $112 USD per night, much higher than I expected.

Did you email it? HOw long have you been waiting? Did your read the NVC thread post #1 and #2? (if not, do so now) Neat little trick for the DS3032 acceptance email, check my signiture for the time it took for mine to be accepted.

Thanks guys! Once i pass the interview and after oath taking, I will definitely do the expedite passport processing and i will see too on what my employer can do to help me with this. I appreciate all your responses!

This should not be an issue, make sure you take proof of work and all the required documents for first time applicants for a US passport. You should get the passport the same day (at the passport office).

Yes, they do it by way of DHL, but if you pick a DHL office in Bogota it is much faster than one say in Medellin, Cali or Pereira, which is where she would have had to go for pick up. in some cases the difference can be a whole week.

I understand what I need to do now I called yesterday for the NVC number, but they hadn't received my case yet. So I'll call again on Friday and hopefully it'll be generated by then!

Feel free to call everynight, around 11 PM (est) it will go straight through with almost no wait time. Once you send the packages then there is a 1-2 week wait where you dont need to call everyday, for now you need to know the NVC# and IIN# as soon as its ready. That is if you want speed. Join the NVC thread, there is a wealth of knowledge and people willing to help out.

I just finished getting all the necessary papers together, but I don't think there's anything I can do to speed up the process before I receive the new case number unfortunately. What I'm confused about is whether I can send the I-864 and DS-230 before I receive the barcodes. Can you help me please? And do you think I can send the DS-3032 before I get my new case number?

The first thing I did was prepare the DS3032 email, just waiting on the NVC Case Number, once you get that you can send it. If you look at the email template in the Wiki you will notice the subject line has teh NVC case number in it, so you cant send it without the NVC#.

When you get your case number from the hotline you should also ask for your Invoice ID Number. With that you can login to the payment website. Once the bill is generated and you pay you can print the barcode (even before status changes to paid). What I did is that I sent the package as soon as I saw the money taken out of my bank account. The first was AOS and then IV (since the IV bill only gets invoiced once they accept the DS3032), if you see that a few days pass and you dont hear from the DS3032, you can try to send it a second time with the "special subject line" mentioned in the NVC thread post #1 or #2, dont remember which one has that info, it can save upto 3 weeks.

To answer the question, you can't send the AoS or IV pack without the barcode. Most people wait for the status to change to PAID before mailing them, I did it when I saw my bank get billed and it worked out for me, saved me a day for each.
