  1. hi Guys,

thought I will share my little rollercoaster ride with the AOS file.....so these guys really gave me a hard time.

You should only use your income to support the application.

I submitted a married filing jointly tax return in 2012 and clearly splt my income and my wifes. In the field where it was asking for my income I put down the number related to what I earned, as per my W2 , which is attached to the tax return for the same reason.

These f@ckers kept rejecteing my application and sending me a checklist 2x!! delaying for 3 months the NVC completion.

I corrected once, when I noticed a 1 USD difference. they sent it back with the same reason and I finally gave them a call to say, "hey, what the heck....what is wrong with it!?"

Despite that every time I commented int he cover letter about the split of income and im only using mine as a proof they just said to put down the joint income to sponsor my wife, that is what they expected.

So super confusing, but they finalized the application and said to print a new form matching the income combined for both of us and have my wife bring it to the embassy for her interview.

Super stupid in my view, but that is what they needed.

Wife is already in US on working visa, so hence she makes money, yes.

In case anyone is in the same situation, learn from the above, save yourself 3 months of delay.... :)

  2. I am sorry that you received this reply. Maybe someone who is new at the NVC processed your wife's COA and did not realise that an email COA can be accepted from all countries? Your wife could try resending the email, this time with "For supervisor review" in the subject line.

Agent Jesus sent an email on July 9th that my choice of agent submitted by email was accepted and processed. I did not do anything in the meantime...so first agent rejected, someone else picked it up and processed it...

Today we got the IV bill, so things are back on track eventually :)

My AOS pack is ready to return...I'm in Europe currently, but going back to US next week, so will post from there.

  3. That's 27 business days from time of NOA2.

    Your timeline says:

    NOA2: 16 May 2013

NVC case number: 24 June 2013

correct, but don't make it a reference point :)

I relocated just around that day. Advised USCIS o my address change, but they did not update it in the system for 1-2 days...during this time they sent me an email with my NOA2 confirmation, but they posted the paper to the old address. It became undeliverable as I was not there by the time the post office delivered it.....so it went back to USCIS, I had to call them, they resent it to my new address.

So just a coincidence. Almost 0% chance that it would happen to anyone :)

  4. Congratulations!! that's great dancin5hr.gif ,patience everyone we will get ours soon.it just starts moving. happy for you.

    did you call USCIS before?

    sorry for the late response

    no, I didn't call them.

they sent a message earlier, that they reallocating resources and only appprove applications close to them becoming current.

It makes sense if we just look back how CSC moved from 5 month processing to 19 month processing time

  5. Please let us know form where did you get this information.

about a year ago the service centers issued a statement that they aim to get all applicatons approved in time for the NVC processing. NVC processing was stated to take 3 months.

No one paid attention at that point as CSC was approved in 6 months and VSC was the extreme with 11 months.

I recalled this discussion from this forum and stated the obvious direct conclusion. I am a CSC waiting for 14 months already, which is unprecedented looking at any historical processing time.

Also, one of the VSC candidate just got confirmation that she will be approved next month as she is getting to her 3 month gap from being current.

I am not saying you have to believe in the above, but my logic still draws the same conclusion.

  6. Has anyone here heard from the NVC yet? I would think that they'll start processing August 2011 soon.

As for me, still no NOA2...

CSC's processing time currently is 1 year 4 months....this is unprecedented I believe. No on is getting approved and I stopped even looking at it. It will take another 1 year at least before I become current...and when will the CSC send out that NOA2....big question mark.

  7. If it is 2 separate tickets then most likely he will have to get his luggage at CDG, exit the secure zone and check-in with the second airline. For this, he will need French visa.

If it is 2 flight segments (even with different airlines) on 1 ticket, then they will check his luggage in Morocco all the way to SEA. He will stay in the secure zone at CDG and for this no visa should be required.

correct. buying one single ticket with different airline operators was not the question of hers though.

it was option 1. buying 2 separate tickets. the answer just reconfirmed me.

  8. Based upon this list, it looks like he will need some type of visa to transit France. One issue I see often is that passengers may need to exit into the terminal ( that now being French soil) in order to get the connecting flight. Basically leaving the customs area and then re-entering. If he were able to remain in the customs area that may not be a problem visa wise. But its chancy.

getting a separate flight means that you are not staying in the transit zone.

you will need to leave, pick up your luggage, go to the check in desk and get your new boarding pass for your second flight and re-check your luggage.

yes he will need a visa. if this is a one time flight , stop overcomplicating it and get him a decent flight with good connection, not 5 tickets and 10 stops...

  9. Also give each other space after you have been apart and pretend that you are back to the dating stage where you are seducing the other person. If you do that then I think you will get back to a great place very fast!

I couldn't agree more with this. No matter how much you skype with you significant other, it feels weird first when you are together again in person...everyone just gets used to contact the other only when they want...

  10. hello all!

I wanted to share a great news with all of you....

despite my wife's PD is 2011 December, she received today an official job offer with work visa sponsoring!!

She is going to do an inter-company transfer from the European operation of her company to the US headquarter, so both professionally and personally this is an excellent gain for her and for us too :)

I'm really happy and I just wanted to share this news with all of you.

She is expected to start in the US in mid December, so we will be able to spend Christmas together hopefully! :)

  11. My wife is already in the US so I will definitely be celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with her as we did Halloween y'day.

BTW, I just got back from my business trip to Switzerland and I flew in a business class.

are you a business owner or an employee ?

if the company paid for you business class, that is normal, but if you are a business owner...well....we may have a dollar daddy here ... :DDD

  12. too early yet. next Friday, Nov 9th we will have more to talk about.

PD current will soon cry out loud something like that: "cut the #######, lazy NVC workers, too many holidays, no interview letters, where is the VB movement, ohh #######, only 3 months movement, those lazy Btards...."

    PD: sounds about right? ;)

I'm going on vacation next week with wife, so am rather focused on that. Anyone else getting together with their significant other over thanks giving / Christmas?

Perhaps the only one thing I am not looking forward is the 12 hours flight...if it was business class, I wouldn't give a damn, but I'm not yet making that kind of money.... :D
