I'm in the same boat. Sent mine by FedEx, received 1/20 but no CC nor NOA yet. Others seem to have heard within days to a week, so I don't know if this is cause for me to be concerned.

Are people filing themselves or through lawyers? Also, did most sent to offices vs lockboxes? I wonder if these variables make a difference.

We all applied for the same benefit so first come first serve is the only way to do this fairly. People who applied 3 months after you should not be allowed to get approvals without an expedite request approval. In my opinion, nobody should get approved before anybody, 3 months or 1 day...

What you say here is exactly what is wrong with America. Your second paragraph of "all they need to do" will never happen. You make the mistake of assuming that immigration is a separate process when in fact, every process is tied together, effecting one or the other in some kind of way. There are no legal benefits to living in the USA, unless you want to sue over nonsense.

I know what you mean... Forget all these other ignorants. Americans are so ignorant it puzzles me.

This proves it is the Dream Act's fault. It was a good idea, but it should have been funded by the foreigners applying for the benfits instead of by the taxpayers. These are illegals and haven't paid a dime in income tax their whole life. I would have paid $1,000 to have my fiancee here 24 months ago, $10,000 to have her here with my baby in September, even if I had to borrow it and pay it off in 30 years... Immigration has a cost and the money should be coming from the foreign applicants, or the US Citizens inviting the applicant. Unfortunately, USCIS, NVC, and the Embassy would only accept the $340 filing fee up front of the I-129F and then treated us worse than everyone else with a 400 day wait time at no fault of our own.

So what you are saying is that the Dream Act is an unfunded mandate. And so, it IS the Dream Act's fault because, it should have been funded by the foreigners/illegals who are applying for the benefits, not the taxpayers.

The cell providers do not lock cell phones for your own protection, they lock them to prevent you from bringing your phone to another carrier, making them lose business (ie. monopoly). The only benefit to customers, if you can call it a benefit, is that the cellular carriers force you into a high-interest bank loan (subsidy) and hide it in your monthly bill so that you can pay a discounted up-front price on your cell phone.
More sad is that only 99 people have signed it... And three of them are myself, my fiance, and a friend.

Since she has never been to the United States before, you could try visiting any of a number of different places she's never been to before. Since you would like Europe (and not the Carribean), try some of these places: New York, NY; Bar Harbor, ME; Nantuket Island; Poconos, PA; Boston, MA; Charleston, SC; San Fransico, CA; Portland, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Seattle, WA; New Orleans, LA; Washington, DC (Get to know her new capital!)... The list goes on. Just do a search for US Vacation areas on the Internet and see what comes up!
Then, try the European vacation next year or the year after. She can fly anywhere in the USA as long as she has a State Issued ID Card, but no connections out of the country!

This makes me think of a good idea. We should photocopy the sticker which says "DO NOT OPEN" and have the customs agent sign it and date the photo copy as a receipt.

So, shinzo, still think the Dream Act had the best intentions? Or was it a political move to win the election?
and we are the ones suffering for it, many who probably voted for Obama.

If Dream Act application processing numbers are going up and US Citizen related processing numbers are going down (US CItizens filing for their wife, fiance, children, etc.) then the problem certainly is the Dream Act. So yes, if this is true, then we can blame the Dream Act. I have not verified these numbers. Does anyone care to prove this right or wrong by sharing an official numbers reporting report to prove that the Dream Act is or is not slowing down the process for taxpaying, law-abiding citizens who are separated from their immediate families as a result of our process?
To another point, they illegals are already in the US and they are not at risk of deportation, so whats the rush on their applications? And what's with the payment waivers? Do they still need to file Affidavit of Support forms?
Why is it fair that more than 90% of applicants of K-1 and CR-1 visas are still waiting to be with their families since the Act was issued? Being separated like we are being forced to do for long periods of time can ruin people, especially when the whole process is 2 months for other advanced nations. It's a good thing I don't care about money or I would be in a nuthouse.

Actually, you have your economics completely wrong. The more visas to process, the cheaper the process becomes and the more money the government can make per application, unless there is a shortage of workers somewhere, but that only happens if the government puts a stop on hiring to fill the requirement. As long as each applicant covers the cost of the average visa application, then the government does not need to spend more money doing anything. Unfortunately, our government prefers idealism to economics and would prefer to lose money per application to keep costs artificially lower than they really are, and stop hiring employees, which increases the cost and processing time on a per-application basis.
You are right, however, about the artificial need which arises from the passion you feel while apart from your immediate spouse. It is funny how that will change AFTER they are here. Haha
In summation, there IS a solution to the immigration problem. It could also decrease our unemployment rate... imagine that.
Bottom line, sign the petitions! Knowing our federal government, they might make it cost more, but it doesn't have to.
Another thing. The government DOES say, "enough immigrants for now, time to catch up" on many different types of visas. Usually the ones with yearly limits on the number of acceptances, like the permanent resident spousal visas. Those take years to get (3-5) because they only allow a certain amount per year.

It's only our fault if we don't voice our opinion. We should be allowed to complain all we want. If we all just abided and ignored the frustratingly long process, then the government would never need to change it! There are clearly some improvements that can be made to the system on a first grade level.
One of the first ones being (as an example), if any unnecessary medical test needs to be run which have an 8 week lead-time for results, we should let everyone get their medical done 8 weeks before the interview, if they so wish to do so! I'd even pay twice for medical if I could get out of this bind I am in. Nobody talks about delays after the interview, so my fiancee and I are naturally upset over this pointless testing (in our case, maybe not pointless in every case).

Unfortunately, United States immigration is not a humane, kind, or feel good service and they would never tell you otherwise. You are guilty until proven innocent and humanity doesn't matter. The response was straight up honest, in my experience.
