Finally received the GC in the mail! Feels good to be finished with the journey! :-)

Finally! "On October 4, 2013, the production of your new card began. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you."

USCIS says they'll have a response to me by October 4, 2013 as to why they are taking so long to produce a green card for my case.

It's almost been 2 months since I've immigrated. No green card yet. Called USCIS and was transferred to an officer who was supposed to submit a service request. We got disconnected. The next officer told me to wait until 3 months is up and to call back. Green cards are taking 3 months from POE time, apparently. Hope they are right!

Going to call USCIS if I'm noy out of Optimized by Friday.

Been in Optimized for over two weeks now. Wonder what's up.

Starting work on Monday.

Went fishing on Saturday. Caught two large black drum and a 20" flounder (as round as it was long). Also caught a 5' shark!! Good day all around! Had a fish fry tonight with the in-laws!

FL driver's license. I feel sort of sad giving over my Alberta license. Like a piece of my Canadian soul has died.

2.5 weeks since POE. Hopefully only about 2.5 and I'll have the GC in hand. :-)

Cut another 2 mins off my run. Amazing what proper technique does. :-)

Rec'd my SSN card today. :-) Surprisingly easy to remember. Just waiting on the 10 yr green card, now.

POE'd in Port Huron on Monday. Flew into Orlando on Tuesday. Now am just waiting on SSN and looking for work!

Back to Canada. I leave in an hour.

Heading back to Canada tomorrow. These are going to be a long 2 weeks. :-( Hopefully the approval will come quickly!! Medical exam is on Wednesday. The interview is on the following Wednesday.

Third test run since coming to FL. Beat my original run by 4 mins 30 secs. I've lost 18 lbs since coming here! :-)

Case complete!! Interview on July 17th! :-)
