very well said Nurseling, I myself is a Nigerian female, and I can't imagin a Nigerian man wanting and willing to marry a woman who can never carry his baby, with the kind of culture Nigeria have I seriously doubt that this man is in for this for better, for worst and until death. He will leave her once that green card has been issued. So its best like you and others say to put this guy on a trial and tell him she rather move to Nigeria and live with him, and see how his reaction will be and see if he will accept that, maybe live with him in Nigeria for maybe a year or even 6 months and see if he can proudly intoduce you to his friends as his wife. Do that before even applying for him. I know you love him and he have probaly got you into thinking that he loves you but make sure that this man truely loves you and is genuine so you don't end up being hurt in the future.

It really isn't about your age difference but you showing a bonafide relationship.
You said you visited 3 times. Over how long a period? You meet how long ago? Your 3 visits were how long in duration? You meet his family and friends and have their support and Blessing? Honestly your chances are so much greater for a possible approval if you marry like mentioned above. No not a guarantee but it shows you are committed towards each other. Sometimes with much older younger a K1 couple shows the CO that they aren't sure (may not be the case but heck why not marry).
Great you love each other and all that but the CO at embassy doesn't know you. If I was a CO and a 40 years older woman's profile showed up on my desk with engaged I would wonder why the hold up why not just get married. Especially if you have known each other over sometime.

Wow what a testimony...I am so encouraged by it, especially were you said your husband is supportive and even when you had given up he did not. He sounds a lot like my fiance, he has the same attitude praise God for these strong supportive men! Blessings and stay encouraged.

To clear up confusion, in 9ja gifts are fine, western union is not.i'm sure others will chime in.your I-134 will show ur capability of support.what i've read on here suggests that monetary Support ,looks like a transaction .As in ,u or the beneficary is paying for this process and this is not a bonafide relationship.I may be wrong but our resident 9ja vj advisors will know. On the ds156 ,i got this information from the interview prep packet lagos sends after they received our petition from Nvc.pls forgive my typos,i'm on my phone.Best of luck!

Hi everyone...First of all, I'd like to thank the Almighty God for His love and mercies in this journey so far. I'd like to also thank everyone here on visajourney for the help, advice, words of comfort and encouragement so far, may the good Lord richly bless you. I am now in the US, Atlanta- Georgia. Been here for two weeks now, and the experience so far has been so wonderful. I am soo happy to be with my baby. we got married a week ago, and now planning to put in the papers for the change of status. I'd like some help as regards the requirements and also will like to know if the affidavit of support requires sending all forms again that was previously sent as regard evidence of financial support. Thank you.

For those of you who do not know my story. I met my Fiance when we were teenagers and we lost contact for many many years, and reunited the beginning of last year. After a year of dealing with this Visa Journey we are done. Finished. Approveddddd {Well this part of the journey at least} I give all the Glory to God. I give the Highest Praise and Honor to my Lord And Savior. Honestly I have to give so much praise to him, he is the one who kept us together, sane, healthy, alive, and Able really Able to have the finances, time, energy, knowledge, perseverance, and patience to do everything that was needed to make this process a true success, although this process took almost a year, it was blessing, a big blessing Indeed. God's timing is always the best because he knew when we started in July 2012 it was going to also end in July 2013. Words truly cannot express how grateful I am to everyone who helped, shared, prayed, and cheered us on. Words cannot express again how absolutely humble and appreciative we are of God's work. He is truly a miracle worker. Sorry I am writing a book, but this is a true love story that I never knew would end like this. This is my soul mate truly and I am honored that we will finally be 1 with each other and we will be together as husband and wife. I can honestly say I have lived true to my screen name {Faithful). I have been faithful to God and patient and now he has blessed us like I cannot believe. I am overjoyed and crying bu-co tears of Joy. I wish everyone success and happiness. The Journey will not be easy but it will be a testimony in the end. Good luck and God Bless everyone on your Journey.

Thank you guys...I'm so excited... @faithful, if it says issued I suggest he shuld go and check. my visa was ready since July 1st I didnt even know it, till I checked the status on CEAC website, even after then I still killed some days by sending the embassy an email and waiting for a responset, they confirmed it before I picked it up. I'd advice he skips the wait and go try...there is no harm in trying. Cheers! #doingthehappydance#

If you think you feel happy now, wait, the best is yet to come!!!! When I was approved my now husband and I cried and hug. The feeling of relief was totally priceless. But nothing compare to the day I got here for the first time, when I ran into my man's arm or the day we said "I do". A year later, we couldn't be more happy and now with a precious baby on the way! My biggest advice to you is ENJOY! Enjoy every detail of this journey and your new life together. Congrats
