  1. Hello, My wife(the CR1 holder) has her state ID and I have my drivers license.

    Now heres the problem:

    My wife's state ID says:

Our house number, then our street number(an actual number) followed by the abbreviation: ST (which is the correct way the address should be wrote) followed by the correct town, state, and zip.

    My drivers License says:

Our house number, then our street number spelled out as a word followed by: STREET, followed by the correct town, state, and zip.

Will this be a problem when we submit this as evidence of the same address?

Our addresses are the exact same but for some reason the street number on my license is spelled out.

All the rest of our evidence shows the correct address with the actual number.

  2. Will the fact that some of our evidence has our Pobox number instead of our home address be a problem? For example our joint IRS tax returns are sent to our pobox. I plan on including the official document showing that my wife(CR1 holder) was added to the pobox. The mail in our town is usually always delivered to peoples po boxes and not there actual homes, unless its packages.

  3. Well my wife and I are currently in the process of preparing our I-751 packet and we have a couple questions. In a couple of weeks to a month when we have our packet completly put together im sure we will be back to have you all review and make sure our packet is up to par and im sure we will have more questions but for right now:

    1. When the Uscis asks for photo copies, do they want front and back copies of everything?

    2. I always had a checking, savings account but I did not add my wife to them until about a year after she got to the US and around the same time we signed up for a joint credit card account. So will roughly 10 months of transactions by the time we send the package be enough? Also. we use our checking account all of the time(its actually a debit account we use a card, not checks, i dont know if that matters) and we try to use our credit account at least once or twice a month but we rarley use our savings account, will this matter?

3.Should I write a note explaining that I just didnt get around to adding her to my checking and savings accounts till then?

    4. My wife, our daughter, and Myself have been living with my father the entire time my wife has been here(because I work full time while saving for college and am a college student and my wife is a stay at home mom for our daughter) so we really havent had any bills to pay aside from our seperate Internet bill, and our car insurance bill, is this going to be a problem as long as I get a sworn affidavit from my father explaining this? I dont think it will be a problem because all of our mail is mailed either directly to this house or to our p.o. box and i have a stamped approval notice from the post office adding her to the p.o. box.

    5. Should this affidavit go near the front of our packet?

Thanks in advanced for your help!

  4. when i was going through my visa process i looked up all the rules for a joint sponsor and im 99% sure that if they have a house in the us and are a US citizen than even if they are outside the country for long periods of time they can still be a sponsor. Btw even if your family dosent make enough money you can file along side your sponsor and together you should have more than enough, providing you are over a 125% of the poverty leve for a household of your size, remember that they are looking for the amount b4 taxes not after.

  5. Ok, just to make it clear, a terminal fee is P 550.00/ person..So since there are 3 of you ( you, your wife and daughter) then it will be P 1650.00 pesos..And thats for the terminal fee alone...The other fee you have to pay is for your wife's travel tax ( if its not included in the ticket and that being a Filipino citizen and leaving the country) which is P 1620.00 pesos.. SO, I think all in all, you have to pay P 3270.00 pesos, but make sure to have extra pesos just in case . I'd suggest, maybe P 5,000 pesos would be OK!

ok awesome, are you sure there is no other fees? Does our baby have to pay that travel tax?

  6. I know Hank had mentioned about this earlier but make sure you've got enough Pesos to pay for the terminal fee and other fees for your wife ( since she is a Filipino).. .It's a lot easier and faster to pay in cash..550 Pesos ( Terminal/Airport fee) x 3 = 1650 pesos + other fees..I know there are some money exchanger inside the airport but it would be better to be ready all the time...and not going anywhere looking for something! That way, it'll be " Hassle-Free."

    Have a safe flight!

Ok so there's a 550 fee, is that for all three of us? Last time i was in the Philippines i didn't have to pay that 1650 fee, do i have to pay it. And my daughter already has her Consular report of birth abroad and her US passport so shes a US citizen, does she have to pay it. My wife is a Filipino with a CR1 visa so i understand she will have to pay it. But what are these other fees you are talking about. How much money should i bring to be safe?

  7. There is only one way to go after your boarding pass. Follow the others or ask if your totally lost in the moment... You show immigration your boarding passes, departure card( will get this at check-in) and your passports with U. S Visa's inside.. That's it.. If they ask for something else, show them... What is "ALL OF THIS PAPERWORK" that you are refering to??

also is there anything i have to bring?

  8. There is only one way to go after your boarding pass. Follow the others or ask if your totally lost in the moment... thank you for the help, i just meant the passport with the US visa and CFO stamp, our child's Certificate of birth abroad, our child's emigration clearense

  9. You still need to check in with the airline to get your boarding pass. The itinerary will get you through the first security check outside, where they x-ray your bags. Then you go through the doors to the airline counter to check your bags and get your boarding pass. Then if you are on PAL and they haven't changed things since I was there, you go to the left, and find Customs and Immigration.

so after the security check, and check in, and boarding pass, i have to seek out immigration? If so, do i go show them my papers?

  10. Yeah. It's pretty easy. Everybody gets herded the same direction, that ends up at immigration. Once you clear that point, and the next two security checks, have a seat in the waiting area by the departure gate, and wait.

so theres nothing special booth or consular officer for me to go because of all this immigration paperwork??? i just walk in and go the same place everyone else is going, then just pull out all the papers along with my flight itinerary, and they will send me to the security checks?

  11. Don't give PI immigation the brown envelopes... They want to see their passports with U.S Visa's in their passports.. Same with the airline in the PI..

At point of entry just telll the first person you come into contact with, usually directing residents and visitors where to go, what you are doing and they will tell you where to go. No worries, you can't get lost..

im not really worried about when i get into the united states because they speak english and its my own country. but when im in the philippines, what do i do when i walk inside the airport?

  12. If the exit tax is not included in the airfare that will have to be paid for your wife & daughter (if daughter is not USC) at 1620 Php a pop, the counter to pay this fee is at the front of the terminal between the two entrance doors.

And we all know about the 550 Php airport fee.

Quite often there is a big crowd outside the main entrance doors (right side) but most times they are OCW and are entering a different door which is right next to the main entrance, so you need to make your way through that crowd to get at the entrance doors

thank you sir, but who will i show all my imigration papers too for my wife and our daughter? When and were do i present those papers?

  13. Regan, to sum it up, you can go either way. you can get extra copies which you may or may not need. if you don't get extra copies and a sitution arises where one is needed, it can be ordered from the ecensus website. you'll just have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive. no need to sweat over this one.

Does any of you know what to expect when i get to the airport to leave the Philippines with my wife and daughter, where should i go, what should i do? who do i show all my paper work too?

  14. Roy..That's a good point...his son might be a U.S. citizen. If that's the case, I'm not sure if he needs to be registered at the CFO.

its actually my daughter lol, my daughter already has her CFO birth certificate, if thats what you mean by registered?

  15. My point exactly...you don't need six originals in order to make a copy!

it seems everytime i turn around there is another piece of paperwork required. I dont wanna miss anything, i want to make sure im completely ready, do i have everything necessary?
