  1. My wife had her medical exam done back in September at the Health Care Center of Guangdong International Travel on Huali Road, Zhujiang New City, Guangzhou. Transportation and appointment scheduling were handled by the same company from her city. It was 60RMB one way. She got to the clinic around 9:30am and was out the door by 10:30am. Just your basic checkup: blood tests, height and weight measurements, blood pressure, color recognition, vision and hearing tests, X-ray, body temperature, stethoscope check.

They gave her four shots: Td, Varicella, MMR and Influenza (flu). She was told to come back in six weeks for another round of shots.

The total cost was 1195 RMB plus 120RMB for transportation.

They wanted to make sure that you're all right after the shots so she had to sit there for a few more minutes. She received one yellow booklet but an extra booklet was not available on request.

She picked up the sealed medical exam results envelope two days later at the transportation company.

    Hope this is helpful.

  2. not making travel reservations to the United States until you receive your visa.

  3. I just started the electronic processing leg of the NVC process for the CR1.

Our DS 3032 that was already accepted. I paid the AoS bill and it posted.

Can I send the i-864 now or do they need to send an email asking for it?

I also have scanned copies of the required and supplemental AoS info and the i-864 and the Ds230.

According to the NVC faq I only need to submit a copy of 1 year tax return and/or w2. I plan to also add a letter of employment, 2 pay stubs and my 2010 returns + w2 and my 2009 Return only. There is nothing here that is really original besides the letter and paystub but these documents are not stated as required. So do I need to send them to China and/or just the original signed i-864EZ or nothing but PDFs for my wife to print?

She has all the original ID stuff for the IV application. I am just concerned about losing what I send in the mail.

You need to have the GZO######## number first. The GZO number tells you that your case has been changed from paper to electronic. Once you have the GZO number then you email the AOS/I-864 PDF.

Did you email them the OPTIN EP email letter? You got your AOS invoice email right?

For the AOS package, you need: AOS coversheet printed off from the payment portal, cover letter explaining what's in the package, I-864 or I-864EZ, tax transcripts, employment letter, paystubs.

I sent the tax transcripts of 2011, 2010 and 2009. Or you can send 2010 and 2009 transcripts along with 2011 tax return plus W2.

Everything is sent via email to NVCElectronic@state.gov if you're doing EP.

  4. Will definitely say a prayer for you and your family! So sorry for your loss.

Thanks, the EP pilot program is on a roll so to speak.

  5. I called NVC to check on the status of my case last night. Right after the call I received an email that my IV package email was accepted. Then this morning I got the email that stated:

    "Dear Sir/Madam:

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

    Regards,

I think the interview date is near.

  6. that stuff isn't in the casefile, it's in HIS hands.

Want to get it INTO the casefile? Submit it with the DS-230.

Why get it into the casefile, you ask? Why, so an IV Officer can review it prior to interview day.

blech. need to chase that down. I sense you have a timing issue, somehow, or

NVC is really backlogged for finding emails.

Thanks again Darnell, you're a savior!
