Do people really have to post when they get a NOA2 on the main forum? Like really? I'm so tired of seeing them....especially the ones who act like they don't know what a freaking approval is and type the verbiage in the post.... All that darn noise. For what?? The journey isn't even over yet when NOA2 comes. Okay I'm done complaining. Good night.

I just sent in a congressional inquiry to Senator Barbara Boxers office today, Im really hoping that I get a better turnout over the local congressman that did the first one. I called today to get an update because the 45 business days has passed and no one was in the office to assist me. Seems like they are not very concerned about peoples inquiries.
I truly hope this brings some action.

April is going fast, isn't it? The bar is already over 50% approved
So freaking unfair when you guys have sent in your RFE responses long ago or still waiting like Res4688.

Hoping everyone is safe...
So far... Thanks

Yeah come on VSC! Today I'm glued to the weather channel and my phone as I communicate and keep in touch with my honey throughout the hurricane that's presently over Jamaica. The entire island is on lock down so everything will be delayed moving forward. Keep my fellow Jamaicans in your prayer and thoughts as the storm passes.

Yeahhh! Congrats

Congrats everyone with approvals!

Honestly, Im very very happy for you. After reading your post I started to.have anxiety about my new petition. However, I strongly believe you shouldnt include wester union receipts. You have to understand how some IO's look at that. Personally being a Jamaican and knowing the mentality of some of my Jamaican people, there are cases in which some people are with foreigners for money purposes. The IOs are supposed to be protecting the US from entry of those kind of people. Its almost like they are stating they know your situation better than you. Yes Jamaica's economical state is horrible and yes this is 2012 n men arent all breadwinners anymore. But, this rule doesnt apply to immigration. Just think of the people who really are being tricked. Being that you got a call back, I take it that maybe the IO that interviewed your fiance was new and inexperienced. Ive never heard of a person having to wait another year before filing a new K1 petition. Maybe a travel visa but not a K1. Not unless your fiance had ganjah in his system or a serious charge, etc.. And to advise you to get married was ridiculous.
Agreed on the WU receipts. It's 2012 yes, but it may be misconstrued by the CO.

I am leaving Nicaragua tonight... my fiance begged me to stay longer ... oh how I want to ... but I can not ... other responsibilities are calling... I hope and pray that the next time I come we are preparing for the interview... My heart is heavy ...
You'll be together for good soon.
Just scheduled our interview. Only one more months of this hell left.
Wonderful news.

I want share my good news with all of you that after 232 days, I just received a text message from USCIS that my petition has been approved. I can not believe it and has just finished telling my fiancee the good news. I was seriously expecting and RFE or a rejection after all this time but I guess some petitions are just used as door stoppers until you file a service request. Thank God and thank you all for your support and encouragement on this difficult journey and I prey that all of you that are waiting will receive good news soon.
Yeah!! Congratulations!

Ok, preparing my forms to send to him for our interview. . as for the check stubs how many should I send. Should they be the originals or copies? Also, is it advisable to send copies of my bank statements showing that I withdrew monies while on the island? I would prefer not too, but if suggested I will redact my account number. Once I have everything together I will submit a list of what I have. Thank you, peeps . . . your input is invaluable.
I plan on including letter from the bank and employer... I think bank statements are only if you're using cash assets to prove your ability to support. Since my salary is enough, I won't have detailed bank statements. Just the letter from the bank as shown on the I134 instructions. Copies of the paycheck stubs should be fine (from what I've read around here). The number varies as to how many. I plan on sending the immediate 2 months worth right before my interview (whenever that is).

Haha... Welcome to America. Now here's your hammer...
Here starts another week of waiting at 245 days. Just got off the phone with tier 2 about my second service request and they told me the same old hoopla ... backgrounds pending and they cant give me any more info than that. :ranting: :ranting: what a bunch of #######.
Contact your Senator.

From what I've read, the turn around for the work/travel are a little quicker than the AoS if sent all at once. But we'll all have to see.
Okay
Start generating a To do list for the house/apt.
He should have plenty of work
True true

No, because it probably would have taken the same amount of time with my luck. However, I would have had him stay here much longer during the wait.
True... But now I'm thinking about the wait when he arrives... Another 3 months or so before he can do anything. CR1 he could work within a week or two.

So I got the following from my congress office this morning. How do I give them the finger through email?
"I was checking on your case and I am pleased to see that, on Oct. 11, USCIS sent you a notice of the approval of your I-129F application. Thank you again for your patience in this matter. I wish you and your fiancé the best of luck."
-
Free at last... sorry, couldn't resist...
What's the topic of the day?
Knowing what you know now, would you have chosen to go the CR1 route instead of K1? Yes/no and why/why not?

Good luck on your interview! Come on VSC!

I am jumping the gun here a little bit because my fiancees interview is not until next thursday... I have a question about shipping her things vs travelling with them..... My fiancee has a lot of expensive hand bags, shoes, and clothes due to working in the fashion industry.... I am wondering if she will be charged any extra fees for shipping those things to the US... Same thing goes for the items we plan to bring in our luggage to minimize shipping costs. Does the K-1 visa allow her to wave these taxes or???
Thanks
K1 doesn't grant any kind waiver for excess baggage charges or shipping. Airlines and cargo companies are separate entities from the US Government. She'll just have to pay the excess fees on her flight and/or pay for shipping via cargo.

Pulled their finger out finally?
Tell me about it..

Tomorrow is Monday!
Yes it is! Another week of approvals. VSC has definitely sped up.

Admittedly my nerves are shredded after waiting so long for approval, so bear with me:
I logged onto the USCIS website case status tracker on October 8th to discover notice saying that my Petition had been approved and that they had mailed a notice that it had been approved on October 5th. It is now October 21st and I have yet to receive notice. My attorney has yet to receive notice. I know that it supposedly can take up to 30 days to receive it, but how normal is it to take this long?
Maybe I'm taking the USCIS a bit literally when assuming that when they say they mailed it on October 5 they actually sent it then, but as I said, my nerves are frayed and I don't want something to go wrong so advanced in the process.
Thanks!
I'm in Texas and got approval Oct 11, received hard copy 3 dàys later. Call Uscis and request a duplicate of your noa2.
March (2012) filers...

I agree.... and Res4688
I see no problem with posting in the main forum after the interview and approval, since that's the goal.
