  1. Just realized we haven't updated our AOS timeline on here - we'll get to it soon! xx

  2. Finally, we received a notice in the mail yesterday that stated Manny is now a permanent resident and that his card would be mailed in within the next three weeks. And no interview. :) Now to enjoy the two year break from all these legal processes! xx

Same as us! Congratulations!! Ahora a descansar 2 años jeje

  3. Got an update on our case: we received a letter today stating that we might not have to interview, but that we are still looking at a 6 month wait for a greencard. Oh well.

  4. We are pleased to announce that we will both be starting at our new jobs next week! Most importantly, Manny landed a very nice job using his long awaited work permit! Yay!!

  5. My man has his first job interview tomorrow! Wooo!

  6. I'm sorry I don't know anything about letters of intent. :( When I mentioned that to our advisor she laughed and said that wasn't something they look at anymore, so we never had one and we were always fine. They never asked for one and we never got an RFE. Sorry. Good luck, xx.

  7. FINALLY! My husband received his work permit today, a day before his birthday! :D Being patient really does pay off.

Thank you so much! Don't give up, I've noticed that good news have always come when we least expected them. Yours will be approved soon enough! :) Xx

  8. Biometrics today were quick and painless. Hurry up and get here, work permit!

  9. Received NOA1 for his EAD and AOS. Waiting patiently on biometrics appointment letter.

Not really. Well, I don't know, I don't consider it. Since we sent the paperwork it's been a month and biometrics is next week, so I think it's good timing. We've got no hurry.

  10. Nuestra consejera le tomo copias a los talones de cheque que presento mi tio, quien fue mi co-sponsor. Tienen que ser lo MAS recientes posibles de la fecha que mandes todo.

  11. AOS paperwork is on it's way today. Nervous & excited!

  12. Oh and his flight ticket I bought online a few hours before, from El Paso to Houston to Chicago.

  13. They also asked him why I wasn't present and he explained - he was there for about 50min. They stamped his passport and he was on his way. They charged him US$6 for the I-94. I think I answered everything for you?

  14. It doesn't matter where the POE is. Manny was dropped off at the border after his stay in Juarez, walked through, and was picked up on the U.S side and flew in from El Paso, Texas. At the border he handed the packet that he got from DHL earlier. They simply went over AOS and asked him what I did for a living...

  15. It was El Paso. He crossed over from Juarez and flew from El Paso to Houston and Houston to Chicago. I didn't understand the rest of your question, sorry.

  16. I suggest you take baby steps, though. If you haven't gotten to that point you might overwhelm yourself and it may seem more confusing than it really is. One thing at a time. I'm always here or on fb if you have any questions further along your process, any in which I can help with.

  17. Looks like your question has been answered. :) Yes, you do need packet 3 and yes if he doesn't get it he can go to the consulate anytime before his interview/appt and obtain it. Good luck.

  18. That's correct. She will not even be able to get a state I.D which is what we tried doing for him when I went in for my license name change.

  19. Woo! First comment, lol. We're in the suburbs of Chicago.

  20. Almost! All we need is my uncle (our co sponsor) to file his taxes for this year this coming weekend and hopefully by next week we'll have finalized everything and sent the package. 90% of the paperwork is all filled out, though. How about you guys?

  21. El DS260 sera mayormente su información personal y la de su pareja. No es muy difícil completar. No pude encontrar en donde haya ejemplos para repasar antes de llenarlo. Suerte.

  22. Aw no worries. :) Any questions are welcome!

  23. ** Y la hoja de la cita es esa misma, packet three. My husband forgot it when he went to his med appt and they made him go back and get it.

  24. You have to take 'packet three' everywhere. ASC, medical, and interview. It is the most important one I would say. That's why you have to wait for it in the mail to make your appt.

  25. Had an appt with our advisor for AOS. We still needed some paperwork concerning our co-sponsor. Hopefully everything will be ready and sent out by the end of the month.
