Nice, congrats.

I guess it would be consulate-specific. We brought it with us, they took it, don't know if they viewed or not. It was a disc rather than film.

Sure you can, just be prepared to show a lot of strong ties back in your home country.

This is so weird. I hope you can solve this quickly. I don't know what else you can do proactively. Do you have the USCIS number for the petition, the WAC or EAC number and have her write a withdrawal? It might be futile, but you never know if that'll work. Try it.

Nice, congrats.

Take it, you never know.

Congrats. It is normal for one to get approved without an interview.

Did you go get her a Social Security Card? That was the first thing I did after we got in the country. Makes many things much easier when she can present a SS card.
I would ask to speak to a higher up at HSBC. They have no legal basis to deny what you ask. I got my Wife a bank account with nothing more than her Passport and Social Security Card. Received no hassle at all. I think the bank is required by law to give you a valid reason for not allowing her to be on your account and what they told you is not valid. Push harder or simply move your money elsewhere. Wells Fargo, Bancorp South and American Express all had 0 issue putting my wife on my accounts.
We do have her social security card and a state ID card. And we only tried once at the bank twice, at two different branches. The first branch we went to, they told us that they needed a state ID card to open an account. We got that, and then went to another one because it was closer, they told the green card fiasco. My wife was so angry, rightfully so, that we just decided to wait for the card. We didn't think that it would be so long. And we haven't really had a need for it because I'm currently out on sick leave from work and we're together all the time. So money availability is not an issue, when she needs something we go and buy it, or buy online, or I just give her cash. Maybe two more months until we hear something.I would be going crazy. Like dalupus said, I would either insist harder or maybe just open an account in another bank. What a pain!
Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming of US Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador!

I can't post the pic, but I was able to post it in another post.

Myself, the wife and our three furry little friends. It was the cats' first birthday yesterday.

Around 2-3 months after initial filing.

Indeed, you have to meet.

Congratulations, Liz-Bone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your review is magnificent in its descriptiveness and detail. It should be required reading for upcoming interviewees. Thanks especially for reaffirming the value of the petitioner's attendance in terms of getting better treatment there, and the value of arriving "loaded" with preparation and documents.
The best news is that you now get to leave Ecu and come here! When's your flight?
Indeed it is. I guess you're flying soon, since you requested the visa be issued the same day. I'm still surprised by that one...

I guess you guys are dealing with the NYC field office? I've heard it's pretty backed up there. I hope you hear something soon!
I don't know what's going on. The website says the case is being processed at the National Benefits Center. I hope so too. My bank is HSBC, and they won't let me add my wife to my account without a green card. It's because they recently had to pay $9 billion in fines because of the whole drug thing, I get hazy on the details. And my credit card is from HSBC as well, and it's the same story. We do have AP/EAD, but she is taking this time to just focus on the language. Thankfully, my salary allows us to live comfortably right now. Children? That's another issue. Hehehe.
Yesterday, was my cats' first birthday, and the wife begged me to do this...

Nope, not at all. Focus on having a solid package sent to USCIS and you'll be ok.

Yep! Luckily. I don't think I'd be able to deal with AOS after doing all of this. I don't know how you guys do it!
I wish we were dealing with AOS in a proactive manner. We haven't heard anything since November when my wife went in for her biometrics. You have people that applied in February and had an interview in mid-May and now have their green cards, and we're here, still waiting. It's annoying.

Interview was yesterday. Very easy day, and we were approved at the end! I already posted a review. Just for those who were wondering, they do offer a same day visa pick-up service, because we used it! I took a copy of the email they sent me, though, just in case. If you're going to have your interview there, I would definitely mention it to the interviewer to see if you can take advantage of it, too.
Congrats! And you're done with USCIS until citizenship, right?

Well, that depends. How long ago was his medical? If it's within the year, then he should just go to a civil surgeon and have him fill out the vaccination portion of the I-693. If it's been over a year, he'll need a new medical.
-
What do you mean "incomplete"? How did he get a visa with an incomplete medical?
Would a visa approval be more assured if a citizen went abroad and married first?

Actually, you haven't been that helpful. The OP has stated that he planned to go and meet his fiancée a few posts before you decided to chime in. So it does come off as judgmental.
And to tell people to "RELAX!", that is perhaps the most condescending thing you can say to people. It's up there with "whatever".
