NOA1 = we got it. Your package was delivered. That's it. Nothing more. After that every one is different. I never heard of an adjudicator calling any one ( embassy's yes) but that means at least some one is now looking at it and making decisions.
And for what it is worth if you and yours really work out and you stay married for 20-30-40 years, a few months here and there getting it together is not such a big deal..is it? Take a cold shower.
well i guess you got a point there...i just got really sad about it..
Hopefully you are on track now, good luck.
thank you so much, made me feel a lot better

oh by the way guys, im the beneficiary in the petition...what i meant by the adjudicator called my fiance personally was she's the petitioner....im just the one asking question here in the forum because she is kinda busy (military) and she is an aquarius (LOL) so i cant force her to check this forum every now and then. those who know things about zodiac signs will understand me LOL.
-
oh no!!!
hhhmmm wow really they call your fiance? kinda odd for me
anyways i'm not an immigration expert or anything. but i assumed they probably asking for additional info (RFE)...let just think positive on this one
goodluck
i find it odd too...do other forumers here have that experience of the adjudicator personally calling them?....so we should assume its an RFE and they decided not to send the whole package back and just ask for the additional ID?
-
That is a standard answer. They check it at first (NOA1) for basic content (check, forms, etc...) then it waits until it is looked at again about 6-8 months later. During that entire time, it is "being processed".
Unfortunately, your petition is right on track as of lately.
Check with military hotline for answers regarding that....
right on track? so its just normal for them to ask for an ID or something all of a sudden? should we consider it as an RFE then?..im kinda confused, sorry and thanks for your reply.

100% TRUE. Hey Beck, I too have K1 at CSC and sent I-129f mid March 2012, It has been 6 months for us too. I did include my Military ID (color photo copy) with original submission. So having the Military ID did NOT make mine any faster either. I called USCIS and asked for "Beyond normal processing time" Service request on 20 Aug 2012, they tell me to now wait 15 more days. How I wish my Adjudicator would call me
Remember GOD answers all prayer in 3 ways. Yes, No, Maybe later... God Bless and use this time to strengthen your relationship.
Mr Pangga
my fiance also called about going beyond the processing time and we are told to wait until 20 working days (so we should receive something before september 5) but just the other day we were told by the adjudicator himself that our petition hasn't been opened yet and he is asking for my fiance's military ID though it is not stated in the requirements for the petition...(we got no problem though if they ask for it, the only problem is they made us wait too long and asked for the ID just now)
-
I think they are assuming that a NOA1 means they are looking at and "starting" your petition. Yes??
yes. that's it exactly...we had been told everytime we call them it is "being processed" but as it turns out, they haven't even opened it yet...
and can we request for expedition? my fiance isn't getting deployed yet...if we can get expedition just with the military job alone then that would be great.
-
forgot to start our petition
can you explain more about this one bit, please?
that's it in a nutshell basically...we had been informed that they haven't opened our petition yet eventhough we got our NOA1 way back in march this year...hope it will be fast this time around as others say...thank you so much for your replies.
-
hi guys, this is so surprising and at the same time, kinda depressing....
we filed our petition last march 5, and so we expect some kind of result before august 5 or september 5...we recieved our NOA1 by march 7 and my fiance has called the USCIS california office a couple of times....to ask for expedition (though we are fine even if it wasn't allowed) and to ask for the updates on our application. (they said it was still being processed and even on the USCIS site it says : INITIAL REVIEW)
now, what shocked us was yesterday, an adjudicator called my fiance and said that they needed her military ID because they haven't started our petition yet...this is so infuriating...we waited for almost 6 months and now they are telling us they forgot to start our petition after sending us a NOA1 way back in march???
so do we have to wait another 6 months? sad day for us..
-
Good day everyone!!! me and my fiance submitted our petition last March 5, 2012 and to get straight to the point, its almost August 5 and still no sign of what happened to our petition (we always check on the uscis site and its always on the "initial review" stage)
1. what should we do if August 5 (the 5 month process time) passes by and still no response from the service center? (califonia)
2. is it a good thing or bad thing if the process take up to 5 or more months?
thank you so much, its so nerve-wracking
-
thank you so much...we feel anxious right now because we are going into the 3rd month of waiting..in which we observed that the results get in most of the time come the 3rd-4th month.
-
yes, the only original we sent on our original petition are the forms nothing else...you guys got me nervous all of a sudden...
is it a bad thing that we bought each other a ring??? (we attached both the reciepts and we noted that it will serve as our engagement rings and we will use it as our wedding rings in the future)
another thing, if we got denied on the K-1 petition...how many months can we re-file???
or can we file for a "spouse visa"??? is it harder than K-1 or just longer to wait but easier to prove?
-
Kaibigan...Mag-ingat ka.
yeah, salamat...i have to watch my mouth on public for now.
-
i cannot obligate my fiancee to research and things...because she is really busy with work right now (she works 12 hours a day,.most of the time she gets 2 hour overtime too...plus she is studying and she got exams coming up)....so basically im the one doing all the researching and compilation of whatevr documents i can do (except the ones that she only can accomplish)....im researching and she is asking her friends about the process...
i really wish to be with her soon so i can help her...it hurts me to think she gets tired and burdens all the bills all by herself...i dont want my wife to be stressed thats why i want to be with her ASAP...
i want to do everything i can to make him feel that im a good husband...
-
What's the maiden name of your fiancée's mother? You will be asked that question at your CFO seminar. If you don't know, you will find the correct answer on your fiancée's G-325A. I hope you have a copy of her G-325A with you.
oh, thank you very much for the replies!!! it's ok, we only refer as "hubby and wife" personally...with other persons (even friends and relatives) we are used to telling we are just engaged...im somewhat close to her mother and knows what to put in her G-325A and stuff...also the maiden name of her mom...
so basically, i need to create a copy (a not exactly written copy would do?) i mean, just the forms and other stuffs like evidences but not complete...luckily i got copies of it, because we really intended to do 3 copies but we ended up just doing the original one because of lack of time...she needs to go back to US right away becoz she is a USAF.
i just remembered, we refer to each other as "husband and wife" in our evidences...but most of it are like "soon to be husband...or soon to be wife"...we noted it clearly...and didnt the USCIS background checks the petitioner??? my fiancee is absolutely not married and so am I (i can prove it with my CENOMAR)
plus we bought wedding rings for each other (we included the receipts)but we clearly indicated it would act as an ENGAGEMENT RING and its the same rings we would use as WEDDING RING when we get married in the US...its our way of saving money and being pracical...its not the rings anyway, its our promise to each other that counts

hello guys! its me once again...we are going into our 3rd month of patiently waiting our NOA2(God bless our love, i hope there's no RFE or other hindrances, hope its approved.)im in the process of gathering documents in case the interview is up ahead soon.
my question is: is it really necessary to have another EXACT copy of the petition/I-129F package??? because she only stayed for a short time here in the Philippines that we only got enough time to assemble one copy (the one that we submitted)
1. will this make or break our petition?
2. our original petition would be sent back here in the Philippine Embassy anyway right? or will it be sent straight back to me and not go through the Embassy?
3. i read that we need the copy of petition once the NOA2 arrives...is it important to have a copy eventhough the original one would be sent back here in the Philippines?
4. should my fiancee send the requirements for my interview (the financial support forms, new letter of intent etc.) after the NOA2 arrives or before?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH and GODBLESS!!! i really, really miss my wife... T_T((though we are still not married)
-
sorry...solved it already.
-

yes, that's right...we forgot to mention that she is in the military when we sent our petition (we assumed they would know it since they do background checks and it's the job history at G-325A form)
she requested for expedition but it didn't pushed through because she only got "tentative" deployment orders...or did they asked for her military ID to expedite it?
i'm asking her if she wants to ask them clearly what's happening but my fiance said we should just wait...
