The thing is none of you are having an interview (your more likely not)...when a person is adjusting from a k1 visa you can have or NOT an interview...it's like a benefit just for k1 visa (having the interview waive)...on the USCIS told me if my case takes more than 5 month without any notification, I was probably getting my green card without an interview and indeed that what happened. I was approved on April 20, 2013 9 month and 1 day after we initially submitted the application. What a coincidence that very same day was my first anniversary here in the US, so my husband decided to take me on romantic dinner to remember and celebrate the 1st year of my arrival. While he was getting ready, I decided to go a checked on the mail, what a SURPRISE, in my mail was the welcome letter from the USCIS and the approval of my gc petition. Nevertheless to tell you we started screaming and jumping all over the house hahahahah what a gift on my 1st year here

I had crossed many many times after NOA2 and even now at a month from my interview. The only thing they asked is to prove that I still have strong ties to Canada and that I have to come back. I do bring a letter from my employer saying that I have to be back at x date, my mortgage statement, a copy of NOA2 and my most recent pay stub. Of course a return ticket too, very very important !

We decided to do a small court wedding and will do the more formal one with friends and family next summer. With all the changes (moving, quit my job...) planning a wedding within 3 months is just insane ! Don't forget, it's your and your fiance wedding, you do what YOU two really want !

I don't feel the need to become a US citizen either. I am a french canadian and very proud of it !! I just happened to fall in love with a USC and no citizenship will ever change that !

Interview on Oct 22nd !!!!!

My case left NVC to the Montreal consulate on Aug 2nd !! I think i should start on packet 3 ! I hope everybody had a nice week end ! I wish a super good week to those of you who are still waiting for their NOA2 !

If it can calm people down a bit, I am 1/17 filer and still waiting for my NOA2 from VSC...no need to jump at each other throat here !

This is just freaking ridiculous that we cannot file a service request because THEY are late. What will happen if in a week or even a month they are still late ?? We want to file a service request BECAUSE they are late ! This does not make any sense at all ! I am so done with that #######
