My SO just went to DFA this week and applied. We had to go to Palawan, as Cebu was always full. The only way to get it in a hurry is to find one of the "fixers" who have gobbled up all the appointment slots
My mother went already to DFA but there was a correction on her birth certificate, so she is in the process of getting it corrected. She will be back to DFA once she will get an authenticated one.
