  1. So his 2 year greencard expired? You didn't start the process to remove conditions (ROC) on the greencard to turn it into a 10 year greencard?

Does he know the process? Did you ever talk about ROC? If you divorce him, he will be able to ROC on his own (if he has the proof-- do you have a joint bank acct? insurance? other proof of bona fide marriage?)

If you have solid proof, you may be able to apply for annulment due to fraud. if that's approved and sent to USCIS before he tries to ROC, he may get denied for a 10 year GC. That doesn't mean he will be deported but he'll be illegal.

Either way, he's out of your hair, except for the support under I-864, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thanks, no, we don't have anything besides some pictures together. I'm going to apply for annulment.

We were going to start the roc but I found out before we actually mailed the paperwork.

  2. So after getting married and saving money, we're now finally ready to adjust status! But I have NO idea how this process goes... We have printed the following forms, please tell me if I'm missing anything or if I have extra ones...

    - Form I-485: Adjustment of Status form

    - Form I-864: Affidavit of Support

    - Form G-325A: Biographic Information

    - Form I-765: Employment Authorization

    - Form I-131: Application for Travel Document

    - Form G-1145: Notification of Acceptance

    1. Do we have to file the I-693: Report of medical examination and vaccination record??

    2. So we mail all these documents and we should receive a NOA1 and then........................? [When is the interview? biometrics? etc?]

    3. Is the total fee for all those $1070? in one check?

    4. What other details am I forgetting?

    5. Chances of getting denied?

    6. Time frame of everything?

Thanks so much! And yes, I've searched before posting here but instead of typing everything that we found out that might not even be true, please just share your experiences

  3. We went to our interview without the medical exam results so once we got approved, the CO told us that my fiance would have to send his passport along with his exam results through DHL.

We did that on May 7th and they gave us a tracking code, which said that the Embassy has received our packet the following day, on May 8th. The lady at DHL told us that the Embassy will send us a new tracking code and with that, we would have to go pick up our passport once it was ready.

However, on Friday we decided to e-mail the Embassy to see what was going on. They replied that they have already processes our passport and it was with DHL, and they did that on Wednesday. After that, we kept on contacting DHL (both going there and through the phone) and they keep on telling us there's no packet for my fiance under that tracking code and that they could not give any information with only names and last names provided.

My question is... Does the embassy use the same tracking code as the one we received when we sent them the medical exam results? What are the chances of it getting lost? How should we proceed in that case since his plane ticket is for next Monday? How are we supposed to find out about our package if there's NO tracking code?

  4. We got our interview expedited, but there wasn't availability with any of the listed doctors until today and it will take 6 working days for the results to come out, which means they won't be ready by the time we have our interview... What should we do?

    Interview date: May 2nd

Expected medical results pick-up: May 3rd

Will we get denied if we don't have the results by the interview day? =(
