Interview resulted in temporary refusal of visa due to lack of documentation. In addition to Saudi police report, Jordanian police report is also required. As it's nearly 3 years since we've seen eachother in person due to much waiting for petition to be approved & other delays, Embassy won't accept our skype photos as proof of relationship. Now planning a trip to visit Mo'ath.

Passport is being renewed; embassy is allowing the interview date to be delayed, but the new date isn't yet set.

Things not looking good for us because of this passport renewal glitch.

Hi drsheikh ~ Yes it has been awhile! We have one week left before our petition expires. My fiance is going to get his police clearance today and will mail the embassy form today to schedule the interview. Still he has to get the physical exam next week. We've had some obstacles but are determined to overcome them. Inshallah he will be with me by June, as his work contract expires in May.

Our NOA1 date is February 28. I called USCIS for the second time on Tuesday (day 223)& was told that VSC is now working on February 27. The woman told me that they are still within the range where a service request cannot be filed. A difference of ONE DAY. I got VERY upset & begged her for some help. Day 218... 7 months. Still no NOA2. Angry. Sad. Frustrated. Depressed. FORGOTTEN. The government had no problem cashing the check sent with our petition in a timely manner ~ this is bullshit.

I see now that your petition was sent to California Service Center. You are very lucky! Inshallah it shouldn't take as long as ours because California center works faster. I also see that you have just recently filed. Check the timelines of those who have filed at CSC; you will have a better idea of how long you may have to wait. We wish you best of luck!

Just called USCIS. Was told they are working on Feb. 6. (of course). Ican't placea service request for another 3-4 weeks! omggggg My sweety and I are now at day 196... I told the guy I have a medical emergency - broken heart. He didn't get it. No sense of humor!

Some days I feel like I might explode. This is one of them! I want to call USCIS right now but left the case number home! The time at work is dragging...

for the first time since this journey began, we're finally within the adjudication date range; in fact, the range back up by a day! Wow. August 29 - Sept. 4!

Adjudication dates have slid into September now. Feel like our lives are dangling by a thread and blowing in the breeze. Been a long trip; seems like it will NEVER end. Every time I look at the timeline, my heart just sinks.

August 24 - August 29 now. I can't even bear to tell my fiance the dates have changed again

wow... sounds like we've got some stuff in common! What a relief to find someone with similar worries who understands what I'm talking about! Regarding the sponsorship study: just Google "saudi sponsorship news" ~ you'll be reading for hours! It amazed me that the Saudi's & expats know less about this than I do.

Your RFE: what else did you send them as proof? We have no pics together, but met at work 2 years ago NOW. I had my boss write a letter stating that we met in person there. He was here on a work/travel program for 4 months. We also have thousands of texts that I sent and pics together on Skype. Tons of them. I hope they find that satisfactory!!
