  2. Hello All,

I was looking forward to seeing my amazing husband tomorrow. I miss & love him so much. I was suppose 2B on my flight on my way to Tunisia for 2 weeks. Annoyed & disappointed our plans didn't go as expected. I was sooo looking forward 2 seeing my family in Tunisia. Conflicts with my moving situation didnt run smooth as desired. March & April are good months for traveling to Tunisia RT $1300 & prices will be increasing from May thru the summer.. Anyone know of any cheap airline websites besides cheaptickets.com.. I still plan on seeing my husband before our NOA2 in July.. Or stick it out until he's here with me?? Please let me know of any cheaper websites??

    Thank you in advance..

  3. things have changed a bit.

The 'barcode' trick from ages past (still referenced in the Wiki)

    isn't needed anymore

    IF

ya pay the fees online at the NVC online payment portal.

There will be a coversheet containing a barcode that you put ON TOP of the AOS packet.

Wait for it, yer time is coming up.

    Thank you sooooo much..

  4. Hello All,

I have a CrAzY...Question?? Has anyone tried cutting out the barcode off the actual AOS packet and pasting it onto the completed AOS form (printed from website) and mailing it back?? Is that a good idea??? I keep telling myself to be patient and understanding due to the sloooooowww process.. I have all my documents for the AOS packet but awaiting NOA2 results to mail everything out.... I'm going crazzzzzzzzzzy....waiting  , waiting  , waiting

    Any advice.... Thanks!!

  5. Hello Everyone,

I have a question... I have read many replies concerning the I-864 form (depending on which form you're elgible for...) QUESTION??? If I print & complete the correct form and have gathered all docs, just awaiting AOS Packet.. Can I just cut and paste the barcode off the form to speed up the process and mail it out?? Is that a good idea?? I have all AOS documents (b-e). Awaiting for NOA2.....

    AOS Packet

    a. Bar-coded cover sheet

    b. Completed and signed form I-864 by the petitioner

    c. IRS tax transcripts for the last three years

(Call IRS at 800-908-9946 to order them for free)

    d. Petitioner's employment letter

    e. Petitioner's pay stubs for the current year

  6. All this is so VERY helpful, we have just begun the proccess. From looking at the other timelines we have about 2.5 to 3 months to wait for the I 130 to be complete. I am one that like to have everything in order ahead of time. as you said, I would rather have more than needed than not.

We have marraige certificates in French, English and Arabic Notarized by the Embassy and registered in Kairouan, married in Hajeb Layoun with her (suprizingly a lady preformed the marraige) notary stamp as well. We had to get permission from Kairouan "president" to marry because Saif was not yet 18

All these pieces of info such as the 3 passport picture (most only ask for 2) is EXACTLY the little things I need to know! Thank you Mountain Goat and Mr Mountain Goat :)We will have Saif birth record updated

Thanks!!! Great Information... like Lynn, im getting proactive as well..

  7. we didn't have a baby to speed anything up, in fact the embassy doesn't know i'm pregnant! I'm getting old and we were getting near the end of our journey (we were at the NVC already. I will be in America long before this baby is born. Apparently my attempt at humor is lost here

Yes, i understood what you meant... Well said, it's important to have humor everyday... Amanda, i say the same thing...lol. Congrats on the long surviving journey.. Wishing your family the best...

  8. Missing you Dearly.....

I never knew I could love someone the way I love you. And I never believed someone would love me the way you do. Thank you for being who you are in my life. Cheers to many more amazing wonderful years, honey...

  9. We made a baby while waiting lol but I don't recommend it, it makes packing up and going at the end a horrendous task (sorry humor is acutally a vital part to surviving the wait)

Congrats, yes humor is great.. My husband & i have had so many discussions regarding our future plans. Who knows the processing time with any of the paperwork. If having a baby for my amazing husband would speed up our process, I'D DO IT.....l0l. If only it were that easy, couples would be giving birth left & right...l0l. We're both going to LOVE sharing our pregnancy with each other when he's living with me permanently. Share the miraculous delivery of our baby(ies) & treasure every moment for the rest of our lives.

  10. Yes, i would live in tunisia with my husband in a heartbeat... There isn't anything we wouldn't do for each other. My husband would never take me away from my family... My happiness means the world to my husband, he's never selfish... He's a great respectful, honest husband and he'd always put my needs before his... The man he is proves how i'm so lucky to have him in my life. My husband's my happiness & i love him dearly...

  11. Hello All,

I guess, this doesnt get any easier... its so discouraging.. having to wait on the process. It makes my days a little more difficult each day.. Being so far away from my husband. I received my birthday gift in the mail over the weekend. He made my day, you should have seen the expression on my face. I wish many times, he was here to celebrate each and everyday with me.. Yes, at hard times like this..it's great to hear his voice, see his gorgeous smile and the sparkle in the corner of his eye when he looks at me.. i miss him soo dearly.. He would say.. all we need is patience and time.. (we will be together) my husband gives me so much spirit and hope.. i love him so much... i try to keep my time occupied with work and keeping busy during my leisure times... Any advice...

  12. If you wait for our government to mail anything you will waste at least 6 weeks.

Did you fill out the form with email addresses? I got email when it was approved and I checked the uscis website often. I set up email alerts thru their website so they would email me the approval.

When are you visiting him again? I had my husband fill out the forms with me and I took them back to USA with me. So when I got the NOA2 everything worked out perfectly. I had him get his military and police cert while we were together and it expires in 3 months in egypt. We agreed it would be best to get it then and maybe get another one in 3 months if we did not get NOA2 by the time it expired. I left him august 29th and got noa2 1 month later so I had all documents ready for NVC way before they gave me my numbers on the phone. you need NVC number, Invoice number and need to give your email addresses again.

I completed NVC in 13 days from the date I finally got my numbers. (It took 19 days for me to get my numbers but now people are waiting a month)

Please search VJ for LingChes shortcuts. Most of it still pertains. Study it often and be prepared. Do not rely on VJ members to just tell you what to do next. Be proactive! lol It makes things much quicker. Some people stay at NVC about 2 months and others can stay there a year.

Good luck!! please read and read alot.

Yes, we're preparing our packets and everything. I'm visiting my husband in April, I'm pretty sure we'll be completing our documents together and being proactive like you said.. Yes, I'm doing a lot of reading on my own trying to get familiar with the process. Thanks so much for your reply..

  13. Hello All,

Let me see if I got this down....lol. Once we get our I-130 Approved NOA2. I will be notified by mail, I (Petitioner) will receive a packet from NVC to submit I-864 and my husband will be receiving a packet to complete his Medical and Police Certificate. Once I'm done gathering everything for the I-864, I can mail all evidence documents back to NVC in NH. I do not have to wait on my husband's paperwork to be completed because he'll mail his paperwork to the US Embassy. When my I-864 is Approved, NVC will forward our case and paperwork to Tunisia. Did I miss anything??

Anything else required in my I-864EZ Packet??

    - $88.00 Fee

    - I-864EZ Form

    - 3 most recents checkstubs

    - 2011 Federal Taxes and W2's

    - Employer Verification Letter

Would I have to submit 2010 and 2009 Federal Taxes too??
